    I have no code to start with. I want to add 2 divs overlapping on each other and then use the new CSS3 Rotate function. The effect I want to create is shown on this page Requirements I don't want to use images I don't mind using CSS3 It should be easy to align the whole thing in the center (which makes it harder to use position: absolute;). It's going to be content below the boxed content (which makes it harder to use position: absolute;). If it's possible without too much position: absolute; it's better. I prefer table free solutions.   • $("body").scrollTop() doesn't update in safari

It works great in chrome, but in firefox, the variable scrollfactor, that is suppose to get the current scroll-position, doesn't update. ps, some people have this issue due to lack of correct doctype. Else you'll be scaling or rotating your translations. Do scale and rotate need to go in a specific order?     Hi there, I am working on an iPhone version of a website, and I am using jQuery .animate() with the scrollTop attribute to scroll to different sections of the page. Something like so: $('html,body').animate({ scrollTop: distance }, 300); On regular web browsers, the scrolling starts from the current window position to the desired position. On the iPhone, the window jumps back to the top of the document before scrolling to the desired position. This is apparently the intended action, but the pages just don't look good with all that movement. Alternatively, on Google.com for the iPhone, when the autosuggest is activated, there is a nice simple scroll to show the autosuggest options below the search box. That's what I'd like to do...

  • centering ul so that columns will be centered too

    In my page I want it so that when you resize the page past the point of the pictures, that the pictures will go into another row, all the way so each picture has it's own row. And then potentially I won't need any media queries. But unfortunaltely I can't find a way to center. I have tried everything I can think of, aside of making hundreds of media queries with different positioning. I can't make it a block because then it won't go into rows, I have tried margin: 0 auto;. I have tried changing the padding, I have even tried using the html align="center". Nothing is working. But when it is in it's mobile state, there is no 10px padding at the bottom, and the singapore title is on the left side rather than floating.     Is there an easier way to change the order of items in a tkinter listbox than deleting the values for specific key, then re-entering new info? For example, I want to be able to re-arrange items in a listbox. If I want to swap the position of two, this is what I've done.   • jquery mouseleave issue when moving too slow

    Hello. I am using the jQuery mouseenter and mouseleave events to slide a div down and up. Everything works well except for the mouseleave which doesn't appear to fire ONLY if the mouse of moved off of the div quite slowly. If i move the mouse at a relatively normal or fast speed then it works as expected. Can anyone explain this or provide any info on how to get around this?   • Getting object coordinates from camera

    I've implemented a camera in Java using a position vector and three direction vectors so I can use gluLookAt(); moving around in `ghost mode' works fine enough, but I want to add collision detection. I can't seem to figure out how to transform my position vector to coordinates in which OpenGL draws my objects. A rough sketch of my drawing loop is this: glClear(GL_COLOR_BUFFER_BIT | GL_DEPTH_BUFFER_BIT); glLoadIdentity(); camera.setView(); drawer.drawTheScene(); I'm at a loss of how to proceed; looking at the ModelView matrix between calls and my position vector, I haven't found any kind of correlation.

    Is this possible? Specifically, I have a UITextView, and the text is short enough that it will fit on a single line. I want to predict where it will appear, so that (for example) if I wanted to, I could set up a UILabel that rendered the text in exactly the same location. Once I get that figured out, what I really want to do is pick contentInset and/or contentOffset so that the text of the UITextView and the left-justified UILabel will render in the same location. But I figure the above will let me do that. EDIT: In response to a comment, the fundamental problem I am trying to get around is that UITextField does not let you set the location of the cursor. It appears a lot of people have tried to get around this without success. I need to be able to move the cursor -- inserting/deleting text there is not enough.     I have a jQuery tools scroller set up with controls managing two separate divs of info - one images, the other related text that needs to sit over the top of the images with a transparent bg image. I am using z-indexing to achieve this and am aware of IE's issues with this but am unable to sort it (tested in IE6-8).     Hi, due to testing and time measuring i have to write some kind of log into existing c# winforms code in Visual Studio 2010. I want to hold the changes and the work very small so my question is about replacing text in my call by counting numbers. Lets say i want to past a line like Log.WriteLine(position) many times in the code and then replace "position" with numbers starting from 1 to n in on turn.     I have a class called Sprite, and ballSprite is an instance of that class. Sprite has a Vector2 property called Position. I'm trying to increment the Vector's X component like so: ballSprite.Position.X++; but it causes this error: Cannot modify the return value of 'WindowsGame1.Sprite.Position' because it is not a variable Is it not possible to set components like this? The tooltip for the X and Y fields says "Get or set ..." so I can't see why this isn't working.

    A view with a table gets pushed onto the screen and I want it to scroll to a certain row in the table before the screen actually displays. I use this code within the final viewcontroller. NSIndexPath *scrollToPath = [NSIndexPath indexPathForRow:5 inSection:0]; [theTable scrollToRowAtIndexPath:scrollToPath atScrollPosition:UITableViewScrollPositionTop animated:NO]; When I put it in viewDiDAppear method, then it briefly flashes from the intial position of the table (at the top) to the row I want. I don't want it to show the initial position. If I put it in viewDidLoad or viewWillAppear then it crashes with a NSRangeException, presumably because the table isn't set up yet. How would I get it to scroll without showing the initial position?

  • Freezing a listboxitem while items are being added

    We have a ListBox that has a number of items. Items are inserted into the ListBox via an ObservableCollection. Some of these items can be edited right in the ListBox. However, if an item is added at an index < the edited item's index, the entire content of the ListBox moves down. What we'd like to do is the following: if an item is in edit mode, we'd like to freeze its position on the screen. It is fine if items are added to the collection and the UI around the item changes. But the position of the item should remain constant on the screen. The only thing I've been able to do so far is attach to the ScrollChanged event and, at most, use either BringIntoView or ScrollIntoView methods to ensure that the item is always displayed somewhere in the UI, but I am unable to lock down its position. Has anyone done something like this and help out?

    Hello, I'm developing a database to store statistics for a sports league. I'd like to show several tables: - league table that indicates the position of the team in the current and previous fixture - table that shows the position of a team in every fixture in the championship I have a matches table: Matches (IdMatch, IdTeam1, IdTeam2, GoalsTeam1, GoalsTeam2) Whith this table I can calculate the total points of every team based on the matches the team played. But every time I want to show the league table I have to calculate the points. Also I have a problem to calculate in which position classified a team in the last 10 fixtures cause I have to make 10 queries. To store the league table for every fixture in a database table is another approach, but every time I change a match already played I have to recalculate every fixture from there... Is there a better approach for this problem? Thanks

When new items are available, the user is asked if he would like to refresh the list via a message backed by an AjaxLink: public void onClick(AjaxRequestTarget ajaxTarget) { /* do something ... */ ajaxTarget.addComponent(_list); } So on click the list gets reloaded and the scroll position is reset to zero. Is there any way i can call JavaScript before the list reloads the save the scroll position?     I have a table that holds user information. One of the columns holds the position of the user in the game they are in. When a game is being created, I need to update the positions of the users of each team. Here is an example: Game id : 7 Team 1 users : 1,2 Team 2 users : 3,4 team1_position : array(1,2) team2_position : array(13,14) What I want to do is update the user table using the array of positions in the SET area. My goal is to be able to update the users without the need for their id (I have different size game boards, so I have multiple position arrays for each board size) How can I do something like this: UPDATE user SET position='(team1_position)' WHERE game = '7' AND team = '1' I feel like it would be a waste of resources to select all the id's of each team and update them separately.
