    Exchange 2007, Outlook 2010 Error when setting Out Of Office (Automatic Replies) from Outlook: Your automatic reply settings cannot be displayed because the server is currently unavailable. Try again later. Setting this through OWA works fine. Autodiscover is working, and all addresses are resolvable through DNS. Outlook profile created from scratch. Anonymous access disabled for EWS/OWA (IIS on Exchange box). I'm out of steam for troubleshooting. Any ideas?

    I would like to use Linux(Fedora) on a Aluminum MacBook Pro, but since the Touchpad on a MacBook Pro is only a giant button Apple does some custom tracking. When there is one finger placed, and a second follows (the click can occur before or after that) it will be interpreted as a drag. So the strong thumb can be used to hold pressure and the more accurate index finger can do the pointing. But Linux interprets this as a right click, since it only cares if two fingers are on the pad.     I have got some clients from bench office which connects vpn to main office. The Router from bench office assigned addresses from DHCP 192.168.1.0/255.255.255.0 and remote gateway assigned vpn ip addresses 10.10.20.0/255.255.255.0. There is a DNS server (Active Directory Win SBS 2000) and vpn client are registered with vpn address (10.10.20.0/255.255.255.0 and domain company.com.pl). I would like to register also primary bench subnet 192.168.1.0/255.255.255.0 with domain for example company.vpn.local I want to access vpn hosts for example: dev3.copmany.pkb.local and dev3.company.com using my Win SBS 2000 DNS server.

    I'm using HylaFax on one of my server to send facsimile to different devices which works pretty well except for one device. I'm not sure, but the problem might be, that the remote device takes to long to pick up and response to the call. I tested it by calling the fax number with my phone and it took 30 seconds till the remote side picked up. So is there a way to tell HylaFax how long it should wait for the remote device to answer?

  • Filesystem fragmentation on the level of set of files

    The file is stored in blocks by the file system. The block is the smallest amount of data the file system can assign to store a file. The classical definition of a fragmented file is that the file is stored in blocks that are 'scattered' (that are physically non-contiguous) around the hard drive. What I want to ask about is this second type of fragmentation I've came up with. Lets suppose we install a program. This program has very many files. When the program starts, the program always loads the contents of those files sequentially. Now, even if the hard disk is defragmented, there is still a possibility that the files (but not the blocks building up to files) will be scattered on the disk and thus the program launch time will be longer. Actually, this time could be longer due to defragmentation of the disk, as the defragmentation process not only glues fragmented files but also moves some files to optimize free space chunks. The questions: is the type of fragmentation I mentioned relevant for the file system? is it possible to remedy this kind of fragmentation and if yes, how would you do it? Also, I'm not sure if this question should belong to superuser or to serverfault (as I guess the filesystem fragmentation is more important in the server environment).

  • Can't delete keyboard shortcut set for a .ink file

    So, I installed the Chrome App Launcher on my PC (now on Win8.1) a few weeks ago, and, as I use it very often, I wanted to assign a keyboard shortcut for it. So, I right-clicked the icon on my desktop, and I assigned Ctrl+Alt+<. The problem is... I moved the shortcut to my taskbar, and suddenly noticed that when I wanted to write the "\" (on a Belgian keyboard), it launched the Chrome App Launcher, which is very annoying. I wanted to change it back, but I can't... I deleted the taskbar shortcut, but the keyboard shortcut still launches the App Launcher. I also tried creating a new shortcut with the same association, hoping that it would crush the existing one, but it didn't work. I searched on Google for similar issues, and I couldn't find any... x~x So... How can I delete this shortcut association..?
