  • OGNL thread safety

    - by Dewfy
I'm going to reuse OGNL library out of Struts2 scope. I have rather large set of formulas, that is why I would like to precompile all of them: Ognl.parseExpression(expressionString); But I'm not sure if precompiled expression can be used in multi-thread environment. Does anybody knows if it can be used?

  • What's the best way to aggregate the boolean values of a Python dictionary?

    - by Thierry Lam
For the following Python dictionary: dict = { 'stackoverflow': True, 'superuser': False, 'serverfault': False, 'meta': True, } I want to aggregate the boolean values above into the following boolean expression: dict['stackoverflow'] and dict['superuser'] and dict['serverfault'] and dict['meta'] The above should return me False. I'm using keys with known names above but I want it to work so that there can be an infinite number of unknown key names.

  • Alter a function as a parameter before evaluating it?

    - by Shane
Is there any way, given a function passed as a parameter, to alter its input parameter string before evaluating it? Here's pseudo-code for what I'm hoping to achieve: test.func <- function(a, b) { # here I want to alter the b expression before evaluating it: b(..., val1=a) } Given the function call passed to b, I want to add in a as another parameter without needing to always specify ... in the b call. So the output from this test.func call should be: test.func(a="a", b=paste(1, 2)) "1" "2" "a"

  • Append or modify keys in conf files using sed/bash one-liner

    - by Jeff
I often have to modify files such as sysctl.conf, and I'm familiar with using sed to replace existing values. Is there a way to append the new key/value pair to the file if sed wasn't able to replace it? For instance, using this example: modify config file using bash script sed -c -i "s/\($TARGET_KEY *= *\).*/\1$REPLACEMENT_VALUE/" $CONFIG_FILE How could I add the $TARGET_KEY = $REPLACEMENT_VALUE new line to $CONFIG_FILE using the same sed expression with slight changes? And on a related topic, how can I force creation of $CONFIG_FILE if it didn't exist?

  • How to return a whole column with Selenium?

    - by Kymair Wu
I know that Selenium has a built-in method getTable("tableName.row.column") can return a cell conveniently. However how can I return a whole column? I've tried getText() directly, however only the first cell was returned, getText("//tbody[@id='recordsTable']/tr[contains(@class, 'someclass')]") But getXpathCount() with the same Xpath expression showed there're multiple elements matched. getXpathCount("//tbody[@id='recordsTable']/tr[contains(@class, 'someclass')]") // result is 15 Please kindly help, many thanks!

  • Explicitly accessing banked registers on ARM

    - by Demiurg
According to the ARM manual, it should be possible to access the banked registers for a specific CPU mode as, for instance, "r13_svc". When I try to do this gcc yells at me with the following error: immediate expression requires a # prefix -- `mov r2,sp_svc' What's wrong?

  • Why is the order of evaluation for function parameters undefined in c++?

    - by kunj2aan
The standard doesn't specify the order of evaluation of arguments with this line: The order of evaluation of arguments is unspecified. What does Better code can be generated in the absence of restrictions on expression evaluation order imply? What is the drawback in asking all the compilers to evaluate the function arguments Left to Right for example? What kinds of optimizations do compilers perform because of this undefined spec?

  • DRY up Ruby ternary

    - by Reed G. Law
I often have a situation where I want to do some conditional logic and then return a part of the condition. How can I do this without repeating the part of the condition in the true or false expression? For example: ClassName.method.blank? ? false : ClassName.method Is there any way to avoid repeating ClassName.method? Here is a real-world example: PROFESSIONAL_ROLES.key(self.professional_role).nil? ? 948460516 : PROFESSIONAL_ROLES.key(self.professional_role)

  • Interrogating Java source code

    - by VibeofBoston
I have a Java source code that I need to interrogate and apply security policies [for e.g. applying CWE] I have couple of ideas, for starters using AST and then travel thru the tree. Others include using regular expression. Are there any options other than AST or regex that I could use for such process.

  • Good starting point to learn regular expressions.

    - by Jeremy Rudd
I'm good at learning new languages and platforms, though whenever I try to learn Reg Ex I cannot make sense of it. I once even used the Regular Expression Designer to try and put some together. What's a good starting point to understanding what looks like the only rocket-science programming language in the world? Links to articles, books or anything else that could help me get my grounding would be appreciated.

  • Find all <a>s to who's href points to an image with XPath 1.0

    - by Jeffrey Aylesworth
First, I can assume that all urls that end with jpeg, jpg, bmp, png or gif are images, and others aren't. I thought of, and tried two solutions: Matching the regular expression .(jpe?g|bmp|png|gif)$ Using ends-with to check each separately But, it appears that neither of these exist in XPath 1.0, or at least, they don't exist in Firefox (I am writing a greasemonkey script, so it is only important for the path to work in Firefox).

  • Converting html entities into their values in python

    - by tipu
I use this regex on some input, [^a-zA-Z0-9@#] However this ends up removing lots of html special characters within the input, such as 227;, #1606;, #1588; (i had to remove the & prefix so that it wouldn't show up as the actual value..) is there a way that I can convert them to their values so that it will satisfy the regexp expression? I also have no idea why the text decided to be so big.
