    I am currently using Microsoft's MODI (Microsoft Office Document Imaging) to read text in an image in C#. Everything is working fine, except some of the words I want to read are not real English words. Is there any way to use a custom dictionary when using MODI or add words to the regular English dictionary that it uses?

    Anyone have any luck using Vimeo's moogaloop player? I'm wanting to use Vimeo's supposed API functions to create custom buttons to control the Vimeo player on my site. Here's the reference page for moogaloop: http://vimeo.com/api/docs/moogaloop I've been able to get the player to embed using SWFObject, but I can't seem to get the API functions to work (e.g. api_play()).     I'm trying to implement a WPF control in IronPython and I'm having trouble implemented the override methods. The code below fails with this error: TypeError: expected int, got instancemethod. If I rename the VisualChildrenCount method, the exception is not raised anymore, but the control doesn't work. Now it is easy to add my custom menu to the menu bar with: printMenu = menuBar()-addMenu(tr("&Print")); but my menu will be in the last position of the menu bar.     I'm trying to write a method like the below where a list of fields (a subset of all the fields) is passed in as a parameter and has their column values set to null.     I have just installed the lastest RC of VS2010, which for me represents a shift from VS2008. A new comment formatting feature that I was looking forward to appears to be missing. About 6 months ago I read a Scott Gu blog post that mentioned a new VS2010 feature that would format /// style method comment blocks into more readable formatted regions inline with other code. The Scott Gu blog did not provide a screen shot but I was expecting the VS2010 editor to remove the XML tags from the /// method comment block and render just the essential text comment. Was this feature pulled during the Beta, or is there an option switch urking somewhere?

    When viewing a jpg or mp3 in Windows Explorer, the bottom pane shows metadata from the media file. Furthermore, for video and picture, the icon is shown as a preview of the media. Is there a way to add this kind of functionality to windows for custom file types that aren't supported by default in windows? Is there a certain sort of plugin or extension that must be written? If so, how is it implemented? Thank you.

  • WCF Custom WSDL XmlSerializerOperationBehavior

    Hi, I have code that builds a custom WCF wsdl on the fly. In one particular scenario, the WSDL exported should use the XmlSerializerOperationBehavior as the IWsdlExportExtension as opposed to the default DataContractSerializerOperationBehavior IWsdlExportExtension. However, every time I try this from the WSDL generation code, I get a null reference exception from the ExportBody method of the XmlSerializerMessageContractExporter (which is used internally in System.ServiceModel by the XmlSerializerOperationBehavior ExportContract method). I've reflector'd it and I can't see anything obviously wrong. For some reason, .NET also doesn't want to work with source stepping in this scenario... Simply, the most basic way I can reproduce this is var c = ContractDescription.GetContract(typeof(IMyService)); foreach (var op in c.Operations) { op.Behaviors.Remove(typeof(DataContractSerializerOperationBehavior)); op.Behaviors.Insert(0, new XmlSerializerOperationBehavior(op)); } new WsdlExporter().ExportContract(c); // throws NullReferenceException Does anyone have any ideas on this?     I'm following this example: http://www.codinghorror.com/blog/2005/12/getting-started-with-indexing-service.html However, the conversion to dataset shows empty columns for my custom properties. If I use path or filename for the columns I get data back. I have set the properties to be cached, have tried both levels, and have rescanned full. I've tried this example on my desktop (windows vista 32bit) and on a Windows 2008 R2 server with the same results.

Specifically, I am using their CompositeSubviewBasedApplicationCell method which draws the content on the tableviewcell with drawRect Everything works, but how do you hide a label or set the tag for a label or image using their method? Doing it this way is pretty new to me (without IB), so I apologize ahead of time if it's something easy.     Hi i am using vb.net and the .net membership provider. i want to bring back a gridview with user account information, like GetAllUsers() does. However i want to only bring back users with certain profile information, that will be users whos profile information matches the selected value in a dropdownlist on the same page. I am using profile provider to record just one extra piece of user information. Can i change or override the GetAllUsers method for this? Adding an extra parameter so its GetAllUsers by Profile. Membership has a FindUsersByName method, i want to do something similar with users by Profile. I am very much a noob with .net programming so i hope i have explained this ok.
