  • Best way to manage JSON object via GET and POST in php.

    My site does some short ajax call in JSON format, using jQuery. At client-side i'd like to send object just passing it in ajax function, without being forced to wrap it in an object literal like this: {'JSON_Obj' : myJSON_Obj }. For the same reasons, at server-side i'd like to manage objects without the binding of $_GET['JSON_Obj'] or $_POST['JSON_Obj']. For example, using file_get_contents("php://input"), i can manage POST requests in that way, but in GET format it doesn't work. Any suggestions?

    Am getting a GMT time from my server in this format Fri, 18 Oct 2013 11:38:23 GMT My requirement is to convert this time to local time using Javascript, eg:/ if the user is from India, first i need to take the time zone +5.30 and add that to my servertime and convert the time string to the following format 2013-10-18 16:37:06 I tried with following code but not working var date = new Date('Fri, 18 Oct 2013 11:38:23 GMT'); date.toString(); Please help me to solve this issue, Thanks in advance

    I have noticed a problem over the past couple of days where my dates submitted to an sql server database are wrong. I have a webpage, where users can book facilities. However, when I do a query in SQL server management studio with the above date format ("YYYY-MM-DD HH:MM:SS.mmm"), it inserts the correct values. Also, if I submit a millisecond datetime to the wcf, the correct date is being inserted. The problem seems to be with the format I am submitting. I am a little lost with this problem. I don't really see why it is doing this. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Is there some special format, or type I should use to be able to store this? I have tried using to_date, and specifying the format I am using.     In my MySQL database, I have a float field named "HoursSpent" with values like "0.25", "1.75", "2.5", etc. Is there a way that I can have my SELECT statement format those values in a friendly format like this?: 0.25 = 15 minutes 1.75 = 1 hour and 45 minutes 2.5 = 2 hours and 30 minutes The "HoursSpent" field is supposed to only have values in 0.25 increments, but if somebody were to put something random like 0.16, it would be nice if the SELECT statement handled that by rounding it up to the nearest 0.25 (so in this case 0.16 would become 0.25, or 15 minutes).

    I know how to use comma in printf as grouping separator to print value in format like 1,000,000.00 to print it that way I'm using command System.out.printf ("%,.2f", value); but how to use space as grouping separator to format value like 1 000 000.00 I tried to find solution but solutions with using DecimalFormat look at now to complicate for me (beginner level). Is there as easy way as in example with comma to do it?
