• Why does using set -e cause my script to fail when called in crontab

  I have a bash script that performs several file operations. When any user runs this script, it executes successfully and outputs a few lines of text but when I try to cron it there are problems. It seems to run (I see an entry in cron log showing it was kicked off) but nothing happens, it doesn't output anything and doesn't do any of its file operations. It also doesn't appear in the running processes anywhere so it appears to be exiting out immediately. After some troubleshooting I found that removing "set -e" resolved the issue, it now runs from the system cron without a problem. So it works, but I'd rather have set -e enabled so the script exits if there is an error. Does anyone know why "set -e" is causing my script to exit? Thanks for the help, Ryan

• Windows Batch script - For /L not working -- simple

  need some quick help. This is a university program, everything is working fine except when I call my :forLoop method to iterate through 100 numbers (1,1,100) starting at 1 going by 1 til 100 and doing the iteration % 5 (i%%5). for some reason I cannot get this to work. appreciate any help or direction. When I echo %%A it is iterating through all the number perfect. • magento set subcategory as rootcategory

  I have 1 magento installation with 2 websites. i want to set a subcategory from website 1 as rootcategory of website 2. and i don't know the id of the category, because this is local and has to work on production with other categories. So i can't set the id of the wanted category in code. it must be adjustable in the backend. in system-manage stores- select a store here you can set the rootcategory but there are no subcategories available. is the only solution to build a module to select the id of the category?

• ASP.NET Membership API not working on Win2008 server/IIS7

  I have a very odd problem. I have a web app that uses the .NET Membership API to provide login functionality. This works fine on my local dev machine, using WebDev 4.0 server. I'm using .NET 4.0 with some URL Rewriting, but not on the pages where login is required. I have a Windows Server 2008 with IIS7 However, the Membership API seemingly does not work on the server. I have set up remote debugging and the LoginUser.LoggedIn event of the LoginUser control gets fired okay, but the MembershipUser is null. I get no answer about the username/password being invalid so it seems to be recognising it. If I enter an invalid username/password, I get an invalid username/password response. • (Ordered) Set Partitions in fixed-size Blocks

  Here is a function I would like to write but am unable to do so. Even if you don't / can't give a solution I would be grateful for tips. For example, I know that there is a correlation between the ordered represantions of the sum of an integer and ordered set partitions but that alone does not help me in finding the solution. So here is the description of the function I need: The Task Create an efficient* function List<int[]> createOrderedPartitions(int n_1, int n_2,..., int n_k) that returns a list of arrays of all set partions of the set {0,...,n_1+n_2+...+n_k-1} in number of arguments blocks of size (in this order) n_1,n_2,...,n_k (e.g. n_1=2, n_2=1, n_3=1 -> ({0,1},{3},{2}),...). Here is a usage example: int[] partition = createOrderedPartitions(2,1,1).get(0); partition[0]; // -> 0 partition[1]; // -> 1 partition[2]; // -> 3 partition[3]; // -> 2 Note that the number of elements in the list is (n_1+n_2+...+n_n choose n_1) * (n_2+n_3+...+n_n choose n_2) * ... * (n_k choose n_k). Also, createOrderedPartitions(1,1,1) would create the permutations of {0,1,2} and thus there would be 3! = 6 elements in the list. * by efficient I mean that you should not initially create a bigger list like all partitions and then filter out results. You should do it directly. Extra Requirements If an argument is 0 treat it as if it was not there, e.g. createOrderedPartitions(2,0,1,1) should yield the same result as createOrderedPartitions(2,1,1). But at least one argument must not be 0. Of course all arguments must be = 0. Remarks The provided pseudo code is quasi Java but the language of the solution doesn't matter. In fact, as long as the solution is fairly general and can be reproduced in other languages it is ideal. Actually, even better would be a return type of List<Tuple<Set>> (e.g. when creating such a function in Python). However, then the arguments wich have a value of 0 must not be ignored. createOrderedPartitions(2,0,2) would then create [({0,1},{},{2,3}),({0,2},{},{1,3}),({0,3},{},{1,2}),({1,2},{},{0,3}),...] Background I need this function to make my mastermind-variation bot more efficient and most of all the code more "beautiful". Take a look at the filterCandidates function in my source code. There are unnecessary / duplicate queries because I'm simply using permutations instead of specifically ordered partitions. Also, I'm just interested in how to write this function. My ideas for (ugly) "solutions" Create the powerset of {0,...,n_1+...+n_k}, filter out the subsets of size n_1, n_2 etc. and create the cartesian product of the n subsets. However this won't actually work because there would be duplicates, e.g. ({1,2},{1})... First choose n_1 of x = {0,...,n_1+n_2+...+n_n-1} and put them in the first set. Then choose n_2 of x without the n_1 chosen elements beforehand and so on. You then get for example ({0,2},{},{1,3},{4}). Of course, every possible combination must be created so ({0,4},{},{1,3},{2}), too, and so on. Seems rather hard to implement but might be possible. • CefSharp.BrowserSubprocess.exe has stopped working

  I have CefSharp-master project with which is Built on Chromium- 31.0.1650.57. All is working fine and perfect, but when I click on link to load/view PDF file on an website and popup get loaded and after some time I got dialog box saying "CefSharp.BrowserSubprocess.exe has stopped working." and oped popup window become black. Below is what I found in windows event viewer.. Application: CefSharp.BrowserSubprocess.exe Framework Version: v4.0.30319 Description: The process was terminated due to an unhandled exception. Exception Info: System.AccessViolationException Stack: at <Module>.CefExecuteProcess(CefMainArgs*, CefRefPtr<CefApp>*) at CefSharp.CefAppWrapper.Run(System.String[]) at CefSharp.BrowserSubprocess.Program.Main(System.String[]) What is problem? I searched a lot but didn't find any think.

• Microsoft Management Console stops working when I add snap-in to it

  I have Windows 7 Ultimate OS. I'm opening mmc.exe as administrator and trying add Certificates or any other snap-in, then while loading that snap-in MMC breaks and displays following message and after that it closes automatically once I click on close button on that message. What could be the problem?   Search Crawling is error out on my MOSS 2007 installation. I get the following error for all the web apps I have following error in Crawl logs. http://mysites.devserver URL could not be resolved. The host may be unavailable, or the proxy settings are not configured correctly on the index server. The Application Event log also has the following corresponding error The start address http://mysites.devserver cannot be crawled. Context: Application 'SSPMain', Catalog 'Portal_Content' Details: The URL of the item could not be resolved. The repository might be unavailable, or the crawler proxy settings are not configured. To configure the crawler proxy settings, use the Proxy and Timeout page in search administration. (0x80041221) I'm using Windows 2008 server. I tried accessing the site using the above mentioned url and its available. I did the registry setting for loop back issue found here http://support.microsoft.com/kb/896861 still not luck. Any Ideas?

• Apache 2 Virtual Hosts no working on OSX 10.6

  This is my first MacBook and I'm trying to get virtual hosts up and running so as it's going to be my dev machine. I've got apache/php/mysql running fine, the problem is that what ever address I go to I just get one of the virtual hosts I've setup. I can't even get to the root site anymore. I had phpmyadmin setup on http://localhost/pma but now that comes up with an error. If I take out the vhosts config file it seems to work again. I have it successfully resolving the DNS names for my DHCP-assigned systems, but only when I fully-qualify those domains. This is despite using the "expand-hosts" DNSMasq additional option, which is supposed to activate this precise function.   Hi all, I just got a new router, cant' get my old xp laptop (Toshiba Satellite) to connect to it, no matter if it's WPA-PSK or WEP (I was kind of thinking with WEP it would've worked but it doesn't). When I go connect and put in credentials the dialog stays up for a few minutes then disappears with no message and no connection is established. Here's the spec of router and wireless card: Wilreless card: Intel® PRO/Wireless 2200BG Network Connection Router: Zyxel P-660-HW-T1 v3 Everything works fine on my Vista machine (for once).   We have a SharePoint (MOSS 2007 on Win2003 R2) with SSRS reports (from SQL 2005) embedded in it. When we connect to the SharePoint portal through our VPN (firewall is Juniper SA4000) and using Internet Explorer (6, 7, and 8) and try to export any SSRS report under Excel, we get an error message: Internet Explorer cannot download . Internet Explorer was not able to open the internet site. The requested site is either unavailable or cannot be found. Please try again later. When not using the VPN (LAN from the office), everything (exporting under Excel) works fine. When using Firefox through the VPN, it works fine. When exporting to any other format (pdf or text or whatever), everything is fine under both IE and FF. Our firewall people suspect something in SSRS/MOSS/Office. Our MOSS consultants suspect something in the firewall Juniper SA4000. • Connecting Adium to Google Talk with a 2-factor authentication account isn’t working

  Anyone else having this problem? After turning on 2-factor authentication on my Google Account I stopped being able to log in through Adium (Mac IM client that uses Pidgin’s libpurple for IM). Obviously you need to generate an application-specific password but these won’t let me log in. Application specific passwords work with other applications (e.g. Reeder for feeds and calendering on my phone). Google specifically mention Adium in their examples of setting up an application password for Google Talk so I doubt it’s a generic Adium problem. I can still access Google Talk for this account if I use a talk widget on a Google Website (Plus, or iGoogle for example). My bug report to Adium including a connection log file is up on their Trac: http://trac.adium.im/ticket/15310 . No activity there though. I also asked around in their IRC channel but no-one else could replicate the problem. If I had to guess then I’d think it was a consequence of me not having a GMail account associated with my Google account. I don’t see exactly why that would cause it, but it seems like a fairly unusual setup that might not have been tested for.

I set the background image accordingly (no case sensitivity problem here). In interface builder it shows up, but in the simulator or on the device it doesn't appear at all.   I am working on a legacy code where an application uses AxSHDocVw.AxWebBrowser (NOT System.Windows.Forms.Control) to open up web pages and am extending it to take proxy into considerations.   I can't get USB tethering to work. My setup: iMac with Mac OS 10.6.2 iPhone 3G, Sofware version 3.1.2 (Build 7D11) The phone shows up in iTunes and syncing works as it should. I went to System Preferences / Network and added the iPhone as a Network Service. To the right there is a status message for the selected service. With the iPhone not plugged in, the status message reads: Either the cable for iPhone is not plugged in or the device is not responding. With the iPhone plugged in, the status message reads: Either the cable for iPhone USB is not plugged in or the device is not responding. Almost identical messages, the only difference is "USB". Any clues?
