    Is this the right way to use delete[] operator? int* a=new int[size]; delete[] a; If yes, Who (compiler or GC or whoever) will determine the size of the newly created array? and where will it store the array size? Thanks

  • CakePHP 3-level-deep model associatons

    - by user357452
    Hi, I am relatively new to CakePHP, I am doing fine with the documentation, but I've been trying to find a way out to this problem for weeks and I don't seem to find the solution, I am sure it is easy and maybe even automagicaly doable, but I just don't know how to find it (maybe I don't know the jargon for these kind of things) My model structure is like this: <?php class Trip extends AppModel { var $belongsTo = array( 'User' => array( 'className' => 'User', 'foreignKey' => 'user_id' ), 'Start' => array( 'className' => 'Place', 'foreignKey' => 'start_id' ), 'End' => array( 'className' => 'Place', 'foreignKey' => 'end_id' ), 'Transport' => array( 'className' => 'Transport', 'foreignKey' => 'transport_id' ) ); } ?> <?php class Place extends AppModel { var $belongsTo = array( 'User' => array( 'className' => 'User', 'foreignKey' => 'user_id' ), 'Country' => array( 'className' => 'Country', 'foreignKey' => 'country_id' ), 'State' => array( 'className' => 'State', 'foreignKey' => 'state_id' ), 'City' => array( 'className' => 'City', 'foreignKey' => 'city_id' ) ); var $hasMany = array( 'PlaceStart' => array( 'className' => 'trip', 'foreignKey' => 'start_id', 'dependent' => false ), 'PlaceEnd' => array( 'className' => 'trip', 'foreignKey' => 'end_id', 'dependent' => false ) ); } ?> <?php class State extends AppModel { var $belongsTo = array( 'Country' => array( 'className' => 'Country', 'foreignKey' => 'country_id', 'conditions' => '', 'fields' => '', 'order' => '' ) ); var $hasMany = array( 'City' => array( 'className' => 'City', 'foreignKey' => 'city_id', 'dependent' => false ) ); } ?> ... and so forth with User, City, Country, and Transport Models. What I am trying to achieve is to get all the information of the whole tree when I search for a Trip. <?php class TripController extends AppController { function index() { debug($this->Trip->find('first')); } } Outputs Array ( [Trip] => Array ( [id] => 6 [created] => 2010-05-04 00:23:59 [user_id] => 4 [start_id] => 2 [end_id] => 1 [title] => My trip [transport_id] => 1 ) [User] => Array ( [id] => 4 [name] => John Doe [email] => [email protected] ) [Start] => Array ( [id] => 2 [user_id] => 4 [country_id] => 1 [state_id] => 1 [city_id] => 1 [direccion] => Lincoln Street ) [End] => Array ( [id] => 1 [user_id] => 4 [country_id] => 1 [state_id] => 1 [city_id] => 4 [address] => Fifth Avenue ) [Transport] => Array ( [id] => 1 [name] => car ) ) Here is the question: How do I get in one query all the information down the tree? I would like to have something like Array ( [Trip] => Array ( [id] => 6 [created] => 2010-05-04 00:23:59 [User] => Array ( [id] => 4 [name] => John Doe [email] => [email protected] ) [Start] => Array ( [id] => 2 [user_id] => 4 [Country] => Array ( [id] => 1 [name] = Spain ) [State] => Array ( [id] => 1 [name] = Barcelona ) [City] => Array ( [id] => 1 [name] = La Floresta ) [address] => Lincoln Street ) [End] => (same as Start) [title] => My trip [Transport] => Array ( [id] => 1 [name] => car ) ) ) Can CakePHP create this kind of data? Not only for $this->Model->find() but also for $this->paginate() as for example: // filter by start if(isset($this->passedArgs['start'])) { //debug('isset '.$this->passedArgs['start']); $start = $this->passedArgs['start']; $this->paginate['conditions'][] = array( 'OR' => array( 'Start.address LIKE' => "%$start%", 'Start.State.name LIKE' => "%$start%", 'Start.City.name LIKE' => "%$start%", 'Start.Country.name LIKE' => "%$start%" ) ); $this->data['Search']['start'] = $start; } It seems like a rough question but I am sure this is extensively done and documented, I'd really appreciate any help. Thanks Cheers Naoise

  • Relational Database arrays (H2, Java)

    - by Daddy Warbox
    I seem to have two options on how to implement arrays, and I want to know which I should go with: Use the ARRAY data type and (from what I understand) effectively serialize data objects into the database (which in my case are just wrapped primitive types; don't know of another way to make this work). Use a separate table and map with foreign keys for each array item. If you have experience with this (especially with H2), which would you recommend?

  • Help with PHP and associative arrays

    - by errata
    Hello. I have to do a simple calculator in php based on user's input and choice from select field, something like this: <?php $a = $_GET['a']; $b = $_GET['b']; $array = array( "option1" => 0.1, "option2" => 0.15, "option3" => 0.3, "option4" => 3, "option5" => 3, "option6" => 16, "option7" => 16, "option8" => 16 ); echo "<form action='calc.php' method='get'>"; echo "<input type='text' name='a' value='".$a."'> of "; echo "<select name='b'>"; foreach ($array as $k => $v) { echo "<option value='".$v."'>".$k."</option>"; } echo "</select> "; echo "<input type='submit' value='='> "; $total_volume = $a * $b; echo $total_volume; echo "</form>"; ?> Well, for now everything works fine, but the idea is that after user submits form, the page reloads with sent amount in input field and selected option which user actually selected... First thing is easy: I just put value="a" in my input field, but I'm not sure how to make a selected option in <select> field??? I started with this: foreach ($array as $k => $v) { echo "<option value='".$v."'"; if ($b == $v) { echo " selected "; } echo ">".$k."</option>"; } ...but this is obviously not working as expected... Please help me with this easy one :) Thanks!

  • Which is faster: in_array() or a bunch of expressions in PHP?

    - by Darryl Hein
    Is it faster to do the following: if ($var != 'test1' && $var != 'test2' && $var != 'test3' && $var != 'test4') { ... } Or: if (!in_array($var, array('test1', 'test2', 'test3', 'test4') { ... } Is there a number of values at which point it's faster to do one or the other? (In this case, the array used in the second option doesn't alreay exist.)

  • Desktop SATA drives in SATA <-> FC array

    - by chris
    Let's assume you've got a box like one of these with space for 24 SATA disks. What are the best bits of advice for deploying this? For instance, should you be greedy and go for the 1.5 or 2tb disks or are they just not reliable enough to be used in an array like this and you should stick with 640gb or 750gb disks instead? Also, I know that FC (or generically, "enterprise class") disks have a different error recovery strategy than desktop disks. An enterprise disk will fail a read quickly and report to the controller that it wasn't able to read that block, and the RAID controller will quickly regenerate the info from the parity disk and mark the block as bad. A desktop disk, on the other hand, will try and try and try again to get the data, and in pathological cases this may cause a raid controller to fail the whole disk because the read operation times out. So there are a couple aspects to this question: What's the best sort of disk to get today? (ie specific disks on the market in Feb 2010) Generically, what should someone look for when trying to buy something like this that kinda walks the line between enterprise and consumer? Lastly -- is there anything that can be done with current "consumer" disks to make them more suitable for array use? IE can you use a SMART configuration to change the error recovery strategy used by the disk? Thanks!

  • Ubuntu 10.04 - Add RAID 1 Array?

    - by N Rahl
    I have an existing Ubuntu 10.04 desktop system setup and running on a hard drive (Drive A). I'd like to add 2 more hard drives (Drives B & C, same size) to the system and mount them as a RAID 1 array. How do I do that? I know how to create RAID arrays during the installation, but I don't want to reinstall my system, and I shouldn't have to since my system files will stay on their own drive separate from the RAID array. I've physically added both drives to the system, and formatted them as EXT3 with gparted. Ubuntu's disk utility has a "create raid" option, but it won't let me select any of my drives (it thinks they're all full). I don't mind using mdadm, but I've found several guides that are old, and give conflicting advice. Some say I have to edit an /etc/raidtab file, some say this is done automatically. So what's the current (Ubuntu 10.04) preferred way of adding a RAID 1 to an existing system? It should turn into a raid at boot, and mount itself in /home/myname/files/. Thanks!

  • Removing a device in "removed" state from Linux software RAID array

    - by Sahasranaman MS
    My workstation has two disks(/dev/sd[ab]), both with similar partitioning. /dev/sdb failed, and cat /proc/mdstat stopped showing the second sdb partition. I ran mdadm --fail and mdadm --remove for all partitions from the failed disk on the arrays that use them, although all such commands failed with mdadm: set device faulty failed for /dev/sdb2: No such device mdadm: hot remove failed for /dev/sdb2: No such device or address Then I hot swapped the failed disk, partitioned the new disk and added the partitions to the respective arrays. All arrays got rebuilt properly except one, because in /dev/md2, the failed disk doesn't seem to have been removed from the array properly. Because of this, the new partition keeps getting added as a spare to the partition, and its status remains degraded. Here's what mdadm --detail /dev/md2 shows: [root@ldmohanr ~]# mdadm --detail /dev/md2 /dev/md2: Version : 1.1 Creation Time : Tue Dec 27 22:55:14 2011 Raid Level : raid1 Array Size : 52427708 (50.00 GiB 53.69 GB) Used Dev Size : 52427708 (50.00 GiB 53.69 GB) Raid Devices : 2 Total Devices : 2 Persistence : Superblock is persistent Intent Bitmap : Internal Update Time : Fri Nov 23 14:59:56 2012 State : active, degraded Active Devices : 1 Working Devices : 2 Failed Devices : 0 Spare Devices : 1 Name : ldmohanr.net:2 (local to host ldmohanr.net) UUID : 4483f95d:e485207a:b43c9af2:c37c6df1 Events : 5912611 Number Major Minor RaidDevice State 0 8 2 0 active sync /dev/sda2 1 0 0 1 removed 2 8 18 - spare /dev/sdb2 To remove a disk, mdadm needs a device filename, which was /dev/sdb2 originally, but that no longer refers to device number 1. I need help with removing device number 1 with 'removed' status and making /dev/sdb2 active.

  • Accessing a vector<vector<int>> as a flat array

    - by user1762276
    For this array: vector<vector<int> > v; v.push_back(vector<int>(0)); v.back().push_back(1); v.back().push_back(2); v.back().push_back(3); v.back().push_back(4); I can output {1, 2, 3, 4} easily enough: cout << v[0][0] << endl; cout << v[0][1] << endl; cout << v[0][2] << endl; cout << v[0][3] << endl; To access it as a flat array I can do this: int* z = (int*)&v[0].front(); cout << z[0] << endl; cout << z[1] << endl; cout << z[2] << endl; cout << z[3] << endl; Now, how do I access the multidimensional vector as a flat multidimensional array? I cannot use the same format as accessing a single-dimensional vector: // This does not work (outputs garbage) int** n = (int**)&v.front(); cout << n[0][0] << endl; cout << n[0][1] << endl; cout << n[0][2] << endl; cout << n[0][3] << endl; The workaround I've found is to do this: int** n = new int* [v.size()]; for (size_t i = 0; i < v.size(); i++) { n[i] = &v.at(i).front(); } cout << n[0][0] << endl; cout << n[0][1] << endl; cout << n[0][2] << endl; cout << n[0][3] << endl; Is there a way to access the entire multidimensional vector like a flat c-style array without having to dynamically allocate each dimension above the data before accessing it? Speed is not critical in the implementation and clarity for maintenance is paramount. A multidimensional vector is just fine for storing the data. However, I want to also expose the data as a flat c-style array in the SDK so that it can be easily accessible by other languages. This means that exposing the vectors as an STL object is a no go. The solution I came up with works fine for my needs as I only evaluate the array once at the very end of processing to "flatten" it. However, is there a better way to go about this? Or am I already doing it the best way I possibly can without re-implementing my own data structure (overkill since my flatten code is only a few lines). Thank you for your advice, friends!

  • Read files from directory to create a ZIP hadoop

    - by Félix
    I'm looking for hadoop examples, something more complex than the wordcount example. What I want to do It's read the files in a directory in hadoop and get a zip, so I have thought to collect al the files in the map class and create the zip file in the reduce class. Can anyone give me a link to a tutorial or example than can help me to built it? I don't want anyone to do this for me, i'm asking for a link with better examples than the wordaccount. This is what I have, maybe it's useful for someone public class Testing { private static class MapClass extends MapReduceBase implements Mapper<LongWritable, Text, Text, BytesWritable> { // reuse objects to save overhead of object creation Logger log = Logger.getLogger("log_file"); public void map(LongWritable key, Text value, OutputCollector<Text, BytesWritable> output, Reporter reporter) throws IOException { String line = ((Text) value).toString(); log.info("Doing something ... " + line); BytesWritable b = new BytesWritable(); b.set(value.toString().getBytes() , 0, value.toString().getBytes() .length); output.collect(value, b); } } private static class ReduceClass extends MapReduceBase implements Reducer<Text, BytesWritable, Text, BytesWritable> { Logger log = Logger.getLogger("log_file"); ByteArrayOutputStream bout; ZipOutputStream out; @Override public void configure(JobConf job) { super.configure(job); log.setLevel(Level.INFO); bout = new ByteArrayOutputStream(); out = new ZipOutputStream(bout); } public void reduce(Text key, Iterator<BytesWritable> values, OutputCollector<Text, BytesWritable> output, Reporter reporter) throws IOException { while (values.hasNext()) { byte[] data = values.next().getBytes(); ZipEntry entry = new ZipEntry("entry"); out.putNextEntry(entry); out.write(data); out.closeEntry(); } BytesWritable b = new BytesWritable(); b.set(bout.toByteArray(), 0, bout.size()); output.collect(key, b); } @Override public void close() throws IOException { // TODO Auto-generated method stub super.close(); out.close(); } } /** * Runs the demo. */ public static void main(String[] args) throws IOException { int mapTasks = 20; int reduceTasks = 1; JobConf conf = new JobConf(Prue.class); conf.setJobName("testing"); conf.setNumMapTasks(mapTasks); conf.setNumReduceTasks(reduceTasks); MultipleInputs.addInputPath(conf, new Path("/messages"), TextInputFormat.class, MapClass.class); conf.setOutputKeyClass(Text.class); conf.setOutputValueClass(BytesWritable.class); FileOutputFormat.setOutputPath(conf, new Path("/czip")); conf.setMapperClass(MapClass.class); conf.setCombinerClass(ReduceClass.class); conf.setReducerClass(ReduceClass.class); // Delete the output directory if it exists already JobClient.runJob(conf); } }

  • Spinner cannot load an integer array?

    - by Adam
    I have an application, which has a Spinner that I want populated with some numbers (4,8,12,16). I created an integer-array object in strings.xml with the items mentioned above, set the entries of the Spinner to the integer-array, and when I run the app I get: 04-19 23:38:48.016: ERROR/AndroidRuntime(10193): java.lang.NullPointerException 04-19 23:38:48.016: ERROR/AndroidRuntime(10193): at android.widget.ArrayAdapter.createViewFromResource(ArrayAdapter.java:355) 04-19 23:38:48.016: ERROR/AndroidRuntime(10193): at android.widget.ArrayAdapter.getView(ArrayAdapter.java:323) 04-19 23:38:48.016: ERROR/AndroidRuntime(10193): at android.widget.AbsSpinner.onMeasure(AbsSpinner.java:198) 04-19 23:38:48.016: ERROR/AndroidRuntime(10193): at android.view.View.measure(View.java:7965) 04-19 23:38:48.016: ERROR/AndroidRuntime(10193): at android.view.ViewGroup.measureChildWithMargins(ViewGroup.java:2989) 04-19 23:38:48.016: ERROR/AndroidRuntime(10193): at android.widget.LinearLayout.measureChildBeforeLayout(LinearLayout.java:888) 04-19 23:38:48.016: ERROR/AndroidRuntime(10193): at android.widget.LinearLayout.measureVertical(LinearLayout.java:350) 04-19 23:38:48.016: ERROR/AndroidRuntime(10193): at android.widget.LinearLayout.onMeasure(LinearLayout.java:278) 04-19 23:38:48.016: ERROR/AndroidRuntime(10193): at android.view.View.measure(View.java:7965) 04-19 23:38:48.016: ERROR/AndroidRuntime(10193): at android.view.ViewGroup.measureChildWithMargins(ViewGroup.java:2989) 04-19 23:38:48.016: ERROR/AndroidRuntime(10193): at android.widget.FrameLayout.onMeasure(FrameLayout.java:245) 04-19 23:38:48.016: ERROR/AndroidRuntime(10193): at android.view.View.measure(View.java:7965) 04-19 23:38:48.016: ERROR/AndroidRuntime(10193): at android.widget.LinearLayout.measureVertical(LinearLayout.java:464) 04-19 23:38:48.016: ERROR/AndroidRuntime(10193): at android.widget.LinearLayout.onMeasure(LinearLayout.java:278) 04-19 23:38:48.016: ERROR/AndroidRuntime(10193): at android.view.View.measure(View.java:7965) 04-19 23:38:48.016: ERROR/AndroidRuntime(10193): at android.view.ViewGroup.measureChildWithMargins(ViewGroup.java:2989) 04-19 23:38:48.016: ERROR/AndroidRuntime(10193): at android.widget.FrameLayout.onMeasure(FrameLayout.java:245) 04-19 23:38:48.016: ERROR/AndroidRuntime(10193): at android.view.View.measure(View.java:7965) 04-19 23:38:48.016: ERROR/AndroidRuntime(10193): at android.view.ViewRoot.performTraversals(ViewRoot.java:763) 04-19 23:38:48.016: ERROR/AndroidRuntime(10193): at android.view.ViewRoot.handleMessage(ViewRoot.java:1632) 04-19 23:38:48.016: ERROR/AndroidRuntime(10193): at android.os.Handler.dispatchMessage(Handler.java:99) 04-19 23:38:48.016: ERROR/AndroidRuntime(10193): at android.os.Looper.loop(Looper.java:123) 04-19 23:38:48.016: ERROR/AndroidRuntime(10193): at android.app.ActivityThread.main(ActivityThread.java:4310) 04-19 23:38:48.016: ERROR/AndroidRuntime(10193): at java.lang.reflect.Method.invokeNative(Native Method) 04-19 23:38:48.016: ERROR/AndroidRuntime(10193): at java.lang.reflect.Method.invoke(Method.java:521) 04-19 23:38:48.016: ERROR/AndroidRuntime(10193): at com.android.internal.os.ZygoteInit$MethodAndArgsCaller.run(ZygoteInit.java:860) 04-19 23:38:48.016: ERROR/AndroidRuntime(10193): at com.android.internal.os.ZygoteInit.main(ZygoteInit.java:618) 04-19 23:38:48.016: ERROR/AndroidRuntime(10193): at dalvik.system.NativeStart.main(Native Method) As soon as I changed the array to a string-array, this works fine.   • C# Extend array type to overload operators

    - by Episodex
    I'd like to create my own class extending array of ints. Is that possible? What I need is array of ints that can be added by "+" operator to another array (each element added to each), and compared by "==", so it could (hopefully) be used as a key in dictionary. The thing is I don't want to implement whole IList interface to my new class, but only add those two operators to existing array class. I'm trying to do something like this: class MyArray : Array<int> But it's not working that way obviously ;). Sorry if I'm unclear but I'm searching solution for hours now... UPDATE: I tried something like this: class Zmienne : IEquatable<Zmienne> { public int[] x; public Zmienne(int ilosc) { x = new int[ilosc]; } public override bool Equals(object obj) { if (obj == null || GetType() != obj.GetType()) { return false; } return base.Equals((Zmienne)obj); } public bool Equals(Zmienne drugie) { if (x.Length != drugie.x.Length) return false; else { for (int i = 0; i < x.Length; i++) { if (x[i] != drugie.x[i]) return false; } } return true; } public override int GetHashCode() { int hash = x[0].GetHashCode(); for (int i = 1; i < x.Length; i++) hash = hash ^ x[i].GetHashCode(); return hash; } } Then use it like this: Zmienne tab1 = new Zmienne(2); Zmienne tab2 = new Zmienne(2); tab1.x[0] = 1; tab1.x[1] = 1; tab2.x[0] = 1; tab2.x[1] = 1; if (tab1 == tab2) Console.WriteLine("Works!"); And no effect. I'm not good with interfaces and overriding methods unfortunately :(. As for reason I'm trying to do it. I have some equations like: x1 + x2 = 0.45 x1 + x4 = 0.2 x2 + x4 = 0.11 There are a lot more of them, and I need to for example add first equation to second and search all others to find out if there is any that matches the combination of x'es resulting in that adding. Maybe I'm going in totally wrong direction?

  • Performance of looping over an Unboxed array in Haskell

    - by Joey Adams
    First of all, it's great. However, I came across a situation where my benchmarks turned up weird results. I am new to Haskell, and this is first time I've gotten my hands dirty with mutable arrays and Monads. The code below is based on this example. I wrote a generic monadic for function that takes numbers and a step function rather than a range (like forM_ does). I compared using my generic for function (Loop A) against embedding an equivalent recursive function (Loop B). Having Loop A is noticeably faster than having Loop B. Weirder, having both Loop A and B together is faster than having Loop B by itself (but slightly slower than Loop A by itself). Some possible explanations I can think of for the discrepancies. Note that these are just guesses: Something I haven't learned yet about how Haskell extracts results from monadic functions. Loop B faults the array in a less cache efficient manner than Loop A. Why? I made a dumb mistake; Loop A and Loop B are actually different. Note that in all 3 cases of having either or both Loop A and Loop B, the program produces the same output. Here is the code. I tested it with ghc -O2 for.hs using GHC version 6.10.4 . import Control.Monad import Control.Monad.ST import Data.Array.IArray import Data.Array.MArray import Data.Array.ST import Data.Array.Unboxed for :: (Num a, Ord a, Monad m) => a -> a -> (a -> a) -> (a -> m b) -> m () for start end step f = loop start where loop i | i <= end = do f i loop (step i) | otherwise = return () primesToNA :: Int -> UArray Int Bool primesToNA n = runSTUArray $ do a <- newArray (2,n) True :: ST s (STUArray s Int Bool) let sr = floor . The problem in pseudo code: start the server allocate new memory for an array (JNA) client connect writing values from an array to the memory sending this array to the client client disconnect new client connect allocate new memory for an array (JNA) - JVM crash (EXCEPTION_ACCESS_VIOLATION) The JVM crash not by primitve data types and if the values will not writing from the array to the memory. the code in c: struct DataAttributeData CrvPtsArrayDAData = {0}; CrvPtsArrayDAData.ucType = DATATYPE_ARRAY; CrvPtsArrayDAData.pvData = XYValDAData; XYValDAData[0].ucType = FLOAT; XYValDAData[0].uiBitLength = sizeof(Float32)*8; XYValDAData[0].pvData = &(inUpdateValue.xVal); XYValDAData[1].ucType = FLOAT; XYValDAData[1].uiBitLength = sizeof(Float32)*8; XYValDAData[1].pvData = &(inUpdateValue.yVal); Send(&CrvPtsArrayDAData, 1); the code in Java: DataAttributeData[] data_array = (DataAttributeData[]) new DataAttributeData() .toArray(d.bitLength); for (DataAttributeData d_temp : data_array) { d_temp.data = new Memory(size / 8); d_temp.type = type_iec; d_temp.bitLength = size; d_temp.write(); } d.data = data_array[0].getPointer(); And then writing values whith this code: for (int i = 0; i < arraySize; i++) { DataAttributeData dataAttr = new DataAttributeData(d.data.share(i * d.size())); dataAttr.read(); dataAttr.data.setFloat(0, f[i]); dataAttr.write(); } the struct in c: struct DataAttributeData{ unsigned char ucType; int iArrayIndex; unsigned int uiBitLength; void * pvData;}; the struct in java: public static class DataAttributeData extends Structure { public DataAttributeData(Pointer p) { // TODO Auto-generated constructor stub super(p); } public DataAttributeData() { // TODO Auto-generated constructor stub super(); } public byte type; public int iArrayIndex; public int bitLength; public Pointer data; @Override protected List<String> getFieldOrder() { // TODO Auto-generated method stub return Arrays.asList(new String[] { "type", "iArrayIndex", "bitLength", "data" }); } } Can anybody help me?

  • PHP Session / Array Problem accesing

    - by Chris
    Hello, I have a form that certain data, which then gets calculated and gets displayed in a table. All the data gets saved in a 2 dimensional array. Every time i go back to the form the new data gets saved in the array. That data will be displayed in the next table row and so on. I have used print_r($_Session) and everything gets properly saved in the array. Although i have no idea how to acces the session variables area, floor, phone, network etc wich are now in the array. Without arrays i stored them in a variable for example $phone , and did calculations with it. But now when i use the arrays, i keep on getting undefined index phone etc... How can i acces these variables, been looking at this for hours without getting any closer to a solution. Any help much appreciated. Regards. First page: if (empty ($ _POST)) ( Mode = $ name $ _POST ['state name']; $ Area = $ _POST ['size']; $ Floor = isset ($ _POST ['floor'])? $ _POST ['Floor'] 0, / / if checkbox checked value 1 else 0 $ Phone = isset ($ _POST ['phone'])? $ _POST ['Phone']: 0; $ Network = isset ($ _POST ['network'])? $ _POST ['Network']: 0; / / Control surface if (is_numeric ($ area)) / / OK ( if (isset ($ _SESSION ['table'])) ( / / Create a new row to the existing session table $ Table = $ _SESSION ['table']; $ Number = count ($ table); $ Table [$ count] [0] = $ file name; $ Table [$ count] [1] = $ size; $ Table [$ count] [2] = $ floor; $ Table [$ count] [3] = $ phone; $ Table [$ count] [4] = $ network; $ _SESSION ['Table'] = $ table; ) else ( / / Create the session table $ Table [0] [0] = $ file name; $ Table [0] [1] = $ size; $ Table [0] [2] = $ floor; $ Table [0] [3] = $ phone; $ Table [0], [4] $ = network; $ _SESSION ['Table'] = $ table; ) header ("Location: ExpoOverzicht.php"); ) else ( echo "<h1> surface Wrong - New try </ h1>"; ) ) When i made the php code withotu the arrays i declared like this, and it worked fine. But now there in the array, and i have no idea how to "acces them" $standnaam = $_SESSION["standnaam"]; $oppervlakte = $_SESSION["oppervlakte"]; $verdieping = $_SESSION["verdieping"]; $telefoon = $_SESSION["telefoon"]; $netwerk = $_SESSION["netwerk"];

  • Hoe to convert a JSON array of paths to images stored on a server into a javaScript array to display them? Using AJAX

    - by MichaelF
    I need for html file/ ajax code to take the JSON message and store the PATHS as a javaScript array. Then my buildImage function can display the first image in the array. I'm new to AJAX and believe my misunderstanding lies within the converting of the JSON to Javascript. I'm confused also about if my code creates a JSON array or object or either. I might need also to download a library to my app to understand JSON? Below is a PHP file loading the paths of the images. I believe json ecode is converting the PHP Array in a Json message. <?php include("mysqlconnect.php"); $select_query = "SELECT `ImagesPath` FROM `offerstbl` ORDER by `ImagesId` DESC"; $sql = mysql_query($select_query) or die(mysql_error()); $data = array(); while($row = mysql_fetch_array($sql,MYSQL_BOTH)){ $data[] = $row['ImagesPath']; } echo $images = json_encode($data); ?> Below is the script in is going to be loaded on an Cordova app. <!DOCTYPE html> <html> <head> <link rel="stylesheet" href="css/styles.css"> <link rel="stylesheet" href="css/cascading.css"> <script> function importJson(str) { // console.log(typeof xmlhttp.responseText); if (str=="") { document.getElementById("content").innerHTML=""; return; } if (window.XMLHttpRequest) { // code for IE7+, Firefox, Chrome, Opera, Safari xmlhttp=new XMLHttpRequest(); } else { // code for IE6, IE5 xmlhttp=new ActiveXObject("Microsoft.XMLHTTP"); } xmlhttp.onreadystatechange=function() { if (xmlhttp.readyState==4) { //var images = JSON.parse(xmlhttp.responseText); document.getElementById("content").innerHTML=xmlhttp.responseText; } } xmlhttp.open("GET","http://server/content.php"); xmlhttp.send(); } function buildImage(src) { var img = document.createElement('img') img.src = src alert("1"); document.getElementById('content').appendChild(img); } for (var i = 0; i < images.length; i++) { buildImage(images[i]); } </script> </head> <body onload= "importJson();"> <div class="contents" id="content" ></div> <img src="img/logo.png" height="10px" width="10px" onload= "buildImage();"> </body>

  • Inlining an array of non-default constructible objects in a C++ class

    - by porgarmingduod
    C++ doesn't allow a class containing an array of items that are not default constructible: class Gordian { public: int member; Gordian(int must_have_variable) : member(must_have_variable) {} }; class Knot { Gordian* pointer_array[8]; // Sure, this works. Gordian inlined_array[8]; // Won't compile. Can't be initialized. }; As even beginner C++ users know, the language guarantees that all members are initialized when constructing a class. And it doesn't trust the user to initialize everything in the constructor - one has to provide valid arguments to the constructors of all members before the body of the constructor even starts. Generally, that's a great idea as far as I'm concerned, but I've come across a situation where it would be a lot easier if I could actually have an array of non-default constructible objects. The obvious solution: Have an array of pointers to the objects. This is not optimal in my case, as I am using shared memory. It would force me to do extra allocation from an already contended resource (that is, the shared memory). The entire reason I want to have the array inlined in the object is to reduce the number of allocations. This is a situation where I would be willing to use a hack, even an ugly one, provided it works. One possible hack I am thinking about would be: class Knot { public: struct dummy { char padding[sizeof(Gordian)]; }; dummy inlined_array[8]; Gordian* get(int index) { return reinterpret_cast<Gordian*>(&inlined_array[index]); } Knot() { for (int x = 0; x != 8; x++) { new (get(x)) Gordian(x*x); } } }; Sure, it compiles, but I'm not exactly an experienced C++ programmer. That is, I couldn't possibly trust my hacks less. So, the questions: 1) Does the hack I came up with seem workable? What are the issues? (I'm mainly concerned with C++0x on newer versions of GCC). 2) Is there a better way to inline an array of non-default constructible objects in a class?
