• How do you resolve the error "E: Unmet dependencies." ?

  I did try apt-get -f install but that didn't work either. The problem appeared after installing a modified version of libapache2-mod-wsgi. I modified the package dependencies because, as you can see from the package details link, it depends on python 3. A version of python is required but not version 3 necessarily and I didn't want to install version 3. There's bug #672901 that describes the problem. So, modifying the package dependencies worked but now that I try to install another package I get the error above. How can I get rid of it?

If the device is a SoftRAID/FakeRAID then first activate it and mount a different device under the /dev/mapper/ directory, (e.g. /dev/mapper/nvidia_eahaabcc1). • How to push through a domain transfer in spite of the 60 day rule

  I recently purchased a domain through a registrar which I won't name here. Within the first five minutes of logging in, I found a severe vulnerability that allows me access to all registration details of all users. Simply put, I do not trust this registrar with any kind of business. But I'm unable to transfer the domain because, for some reason, it has to exist in its current state for 60 days. We're planning to launch the site this weekend - we can't wait 60 days. But I can not trust this registrar: if I found such a severe vulnerability in the first few minutes, how many more similar un-trustables will I find in those 60 days? Is there a higher authority to whom I can submit a case to get my domain transferred to a different registrar?

• issue with vmd install not working any more. lubuntu 12.10

  I had vmd working on my lubuntu 64 bit but all of a sudden I was getting errors when I tried to run it. I tried reinstalling it but no joy. The error I now get when I try to run rlwrap: No match. I don't use make unless I have to so I don't know all that much about it. I have removing vmd completely to see if that helped. I tried the suggestions it made (I am sorry, I can't remember the details but it was moaning about CUDA and my graphic drivers for a while. I had not updated it or anything. It was fine until I went away from the computer and came back to it like that. If nobody can help I will try reinstalling my system and see if that helps.

• Is it possible to allow the User Account to access the 'Volumes' without asking the Administrator's password?

  Am the administrator of my Ubuntu system. Recently I added a new user account. But when ever the user tries to access or open the 'Volumes'(Drives where movies, songs and other files are stored) it asks for the Administrator's password. I created the user account to my other family members and I don't want to tell them my password. So is it possible to allow them to access the Volumes without asking Administrator's password ?   In Oracle Applications it is possible to configure iSupplier to link to an Oracle iSurvey, and for the Oracle iSurvey to be executed for a Supplier. This integration requires: An Oracle Script An Oracle iSurvey linked to the Oracle Script iSupplier Configuration to reference the iSurvey. Once set up, the iSurvey will be available from the supplier tab from the Purchasing Responsibilities and from the iSupplier Portal.  Responses to the survey can be viewed from the Survey Administrator Responsibility.   Regrettably old versions of IE (6 and 7)  are still in use and it is necessary to test against them. Microsoft recommended using a Virtual Machine to run these old versions. To this end, Microsoft provide free VHD images at http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/en/details.aspx?FamilyID=21eabb90-958f-4b64-b5f1-73d0a413c8ef&displaylang=en These downloads need to be unpacked and run by Virtual PC which isa free download from http://www.microsoft.com/windows/products/winfamily/virtualpc/default.mspx. • Didn't you have problems with upgrade from 11.10 to 12.04 (libre office)?

  This is the first time I'm repporting something hoping that it can be usefull for you. When updating from 11.010 to 12.04 (what include updating Libre office I supose), I can't any more work with any document that was originally made in Libre office. Every change freezes the screen, I can't save anything... I'm talking of complex documents, with lots of internal references and footnotes and some propor text styles of about 230 pages (phd work) I wanted to alert you that probabely something is wrong but as I don't have any tecnical knowledge, I don't know what could be usefull to help you in your great job of making good free software. My little desktop has 2Gb of Ram memory and an atom processor (I can look for more details if that would be usefull to you)

• Screen tearing (very noticable during video playback) with HD3000 AND HD Radeon 6630m

  I did not have this issue with Ubuntu 11.10. Well, to be clear, I did, but it was easily remedied with compiz workarounds. I have tried both the propriety and open source ati drivers, and the intel HD 3000 (as far as I know) should be part of the Kernel already. So I am pretty much 100% stumped given my general lack of Linux knowledge. I really enjoy this OS, would hate to have to return to Windows (read: HATE) because of something as trivial as video playback. Some details: Lenovo Thinkpad Edge e520 Intel HD 3000/AMD HD Radeon 6630m Ubuntu 12.04 64bit.

• What is the good way of sharing specific data between ViewModels

  We have IAppContext which is injected into ViewModel. This service contains shared data: global filters and other application wide properties. But there are cases when data is very specific. For example one VM implements Master and the second one - Details of selected tree item. Thus DetailsVm must know about the selected item and its changes. We can store this information either in IAppContext or inside each concerned VM. In both cases update notifications are sent via Messenger. I see pros and cons for any of the approaches and can not decide which one is better. 1st: + explicitly exposed shared proerties, easy to follow dependencies - IAppContxt becomes cluttered with very specific data. 2nd: the exact opposite of the first and more memory load due to data duplication. May be someone can offer design alternatives or tell that one of the variants is objectively superior to the other cause I miss something important?

  I was just wondering what design Namecheap.com is using for their site. I asked their support personnel and I suppose the employees aren't generally aware. It really looks like a customized wordpress site, but I was wondering if anyone here knew any more details about their setup. Been googling for it but the problem is, since namecheap DEALS with CMS's/web design for their business, you'll get google hits regarding their business rather than describing their site itself. Just interested. If anyone's got any info on it let me know.

• Servlet 3.1 Early Draft Now Available

  JSR 340 has released an Early Draft of the Servlet 3.1 specification. Other than the usual clarifications and javadoc updates, ProtocolHandler and WebConnection are new classes that encapsulates the protocol upgrade processing. This will typically be used for upgrading an HTTP connection to a WebSocket. Section 2.3.3.5 in the specification provide more details on it. Section 3.7 explain non-blocking request processing by the Web container. ReadListener and WriteListener are new interfaces that represents a call-back mechanism to read and write data without blocking. As with other Java EE 7 specifications, progress can be tracked at servlet-spec.java.net. The Expert Group discussions are archived and you can participate by sending an email to [email protected].

  Today , I try to write a Silverlight app that talks to SharePoint 2010 using the REST API.However after deploy the silverlight app and run the code , I got the following error.In order to fix this I need to make the target framework of your caller application to 4.0,in this case I need to use Silverlight 4.0 instead 3.0.After I have done that and redeploy the solution to the SharePoint.It works like a charm.   Exceptions details: System.Data.Services.Client.DataServiceQueryException: An error occurred while processing this request. Request version ’1.0′ is too low for the response. The lowest supported version is ’2.0′. • secure boot windows 8 issues it hates ubuntu :(

  im running into issues with windows 8. ok so i disabled secure boot from my laptop. i tell it to launch from my USB with ubuntu installed on it and it wont boot. just simply light my screen and darken it. iv google the fire out of this and no use so im asking for help. im useing ubuntu 13.04. more details: well i have tryed to boot another OS (zorin) and it hates it too. i dont know why my secure boot wont shut off. if it helps i have a HP 2000.
