• Cannot open root device xvda1 or unknown-block(0,0)

  I'm putting together a Dom0 and three DomU (all Gentoo) with kernel 3.5.7 and Xen 4.1.1. Each Dom has it's own md (md0 for Dom0, md1 for Dom1 etc). Dom0 works fine so far, however, I'm stuck trying to create DomUs. The end user sees the old grids and the new one. To mitigate this problem, I tried destroying the grid and also removing the grid element on each request, and that seems to solve the problem only that records never get displayed this time. if(grid) { grid.destroy(true); } The behavior i'm looking for is to display the result of a grid within a tab and if that tab exists replaced the old grid. • Finding if a Binary Tree is a Binary Search Tree

  Today I had an interview where I was asked to write a program which takes a Binary Tree and returns true if it is also a Binary Search Tree otherwise false. My Approach1: Perform an inroder traversal and store the elements in O(n) time. Now scan through the array/list of elements and check if element at ith index is greater than element at (i+1)th index. If such a condition is encountered, return false and break out of the loop. (This takes O(n) time). At the end return true. But this gentleman wanted me to provide an efficient solution. I tried but I was unsuccessfult, because to find if it is a BST I have to check each node. Moreover he was pointing me to think over recusrion. My Approach 2: A BT is a BST if for any node N N-left is < N and N-right N , and the INorder successor of left node of N is less than N and the inorder successor of right node of N is greater than N and the left and right subtrees are BSTs. But this is going to be complicated and running time doesn't seem to be good. Please help if you know any optimal solution. Thanks.

• BCP task hangs while executing

  Hey guys, We have a HPC node that runs some of our tasks in it. I have a task in my .net project that kicks the bcp utility on the HPC node and the output of the query that I have runs into 9 Mb. When the HPC node runs this task the output of the query is dumped into a file and then after it dumps around 5mb of data it suddenly stops dumping any more data and this happens all the time. (Please note this isnt any data issue as its not crashing on a particular row every time). this may or may not be of significance but I dump the data into a different server which has adequate permissions set. I have run the command with the same query directly on the hpc node and on other comps and it gives the right output. I'm running the bcp command as follows: var processInfo = new ProcessStartInfo("bcp.exe", argument) { RedirectStandardOutput = true, RedirectStandardError = true, CreateNoWindow = true, UseShellExecute = false }; var proc = new Process { StartInfo = processInfo, EnableRaisingEvents = true }; proc.Exited += new EventHandler(bcp_log); proc.Start(); proc.WaitForExit(); So my code actually waits for each bcp task to run before it goes ahead as I call it multiple times. FYI to remind you again it only fails when my o/p exceeds a certain no of bytes in this case approx 5mb. Any help is much appreciated.

As far i have understand we have the following: 1) in general, a strong component is a sub-graph of a graph, in which for every node of this sub-graph there is a path to any node of the sub-graph (in other words you can access any node of the sub-graph from any other node of the sub-graph) 2) a sub-graph induced by a list of nodes is a graph containing all these nodes plus all the edges connecting these nodes. in paper the mathematical definition is " F is a subgraph of G induced by W if W is subset of V and F = (W,{u,y)|u,y in W and (u,y) in E)}) where u,y are edges , E is the set of all the edges in the graph, W is a set of nodes. 3)in the code implementation the nodes are named by integer numbers 1 ... n. 4) I suspect that the Vk is the set of nodes of the strong component K. now to the question. Lets say we have a graph G= (V,E) with V = {1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9} which it can be divided into 3 strong components the SC1 = {1,4,7,8} SC2= {2,3,9} SC3 = {5,6} (and their edges) Can anybody give me an example for s =1, s= 2, s= 5 what if going to be the Vk and Ak according to the code?   django-mptt seems determined to drive me out of my mind. I'm trying to do something relatively simple: I'm going to delete a node, and need to do something reasonable with the node's children. Namely, I'd like to move them up one level so they're children of their current parent's parent. That is, if the tree looks like: Root | Grandpa | Father | | C1 C2 I'm going to delete Father, and would like C1 and C2 to be children of Grandpa. Unfortunately, neither of these two help in this particular circumstance. As I understand, the !! indicate that this is a user-defined type, but I don't see with yaml-cpp how to parse that.

I can easily parse a list that contains only one node type (eg. just apples, not oranges) @ElementList(name = "fruitlist") private List<Apple> exercises; with more than one node type it also wants so parse non Apple nodes which doesn't work. I also tried to make another list for oranges, but it doen't work, I can't use fruitlist name more than once. @ElementList(name = "fruitlist", entry = "orange") private List<Orange> exercises; The ideal would be two seperate list for both node types. • C++ design question on traversing binary trees

  I have a binary tree T which I would like to copy to another tree. Suppose I have a visit method that gets evaluated at every node: struct visit { virtual void operator() (node* n)=0; }; and I have a visitor algorithm void visitor(node* t, visit& v) { //do a preorder traversal using stack or recursion if (!t) return; v(t); visitor(t->left, v); visitor(t->right, v); } I have 2 questions: I settled on using the functor based approach because I see that boost graph does this (vertex visitors). Also I tend to repeat the same code to traverse the tree and do different things at each node. Is this a good design to get rid of duplicated code? What other alternative designs are there? How do I use this to create a new binary tree from an existing one? I can keep a stack on the visit functor if I want, but it gets tied to the algorithm in visitor. How would I incorporate postorder traversals here ? Another functor class?

• AST with fixed nodes instead of error nodes in antlr

  I have an antlr generated Java parser that uses the C target and it works quite well. The problem is I also want it to parse erroneous code and produce a meaningful AST. If I feed it a minimal Java class with one import after which a semicolon is missing it produces two "Tree Error Node" objects where the "import" token and the tokens for the imported class should be. But since it parses the following code correctly and produces the correct nodes for this code it must recover from the error by adding the semicolon or by resyncing. Is there a way to make antlr reflect this fixed input it produces internally in the AST? Or can I at least get the tokens/text that produced the "Tree Node Errors" somehow?   I have a serious problem with my .Net program. It calls a native dll, and then crashes instantly because it can't find a native method. This is behaviour we have seen before, whereby the C# compiler, in its infinite wisdom, sets the flag that the program is DEP compatible, even if it calls a native dll which patently is not. We have the standard workaround for this, where the flag is set to Not DEP Compatible in a post-build step, and this works fine. Everywhere except on my machine. I have Windows 7 32bit, and the program works fine on the Win 7 64bit machines that we have, as well as on Vista and XP; we have not yet been able to check on another Win7 32bit. However, on my machine the DataExecutionPolicy_SupportPolicy is 0, i.e. we have successfully switched DEP off. The dll in question also works fine when called from a native program. We are running out of ideas... any help would be much appreciated!

• How does VS 2005 provide history across all TFS Team Projects when tf.exe cannot?

  In Visual Studio 2005, in the TFS Source Control Explorer, these is a top-level node for the TFS Server itself, with a child node for each Team Project. Right-clicking either the server node or the node for a Team Project gives a context menu on which there is a View History item. Selecting this gives you a History window showing the last 200 or so changesets, either for the specific Team Project chosen, or across all Team Projects. It is this history across all Team Projects that I am wondering about. The command-line tf.exe history command provides (as I understand it) basically the same functionality as is provided by the VS TFS Source Control plug-in. But I cannot work out how to get tf.exe history to provide this across-all-Team-Projects history. At a command line, supposing I have C:\ mapped as the root of my workspace, and Foo, Bar, and Baz as Team Projects, I can do C:\> tf history Foo /recursive /stopafter:200 to get the last 200 changesets that affected Team Project Foo; or from within a Team Project folder C:\Bar> tf history *.* /recursive /stopafter:200 which does the same thing for Team Project Bar - note that the wildcard *.* is allowed here. However, none of these work (each gives the error message shown): C:\> tf history /recursive /stopafter:200 The history command takes exactly one item C:\> tf history *.* /recursive /stopafter:200 Unable to determine the source control server C:\> tf history *.* /server:servername /recursive /stopafter:200 Unable to determine the workspace I don't see an option in the docs for tf for specifying a workspace; it seems to only want to determine it from the current folder. So what is VS 2005 doing? Is it internally doing a history on each Team Project in turn and then sticking the results together?? note also that I have tried with Power Tools; tfpt history from the command line gives exactly the same error messages seen here

How can I ignore this and just set $nVendor to an empty string?

So if you set *head_ref = rest .. that makes the head of the list 2 ?? Can someone please explain how after reversing the head of the list becomes 4 ??

  Hi Everyone, I'm new to Qt and I'm learning something new every day. Currently, I'm developing a small application for my Nokia N900 in my free time. Everything is fine, I am able to compile and run Maemo applications on the device. I've just learned about the foreach keyword in Qt. (I know it is not in C++, so I didn't think about it until I accidentally stumbled upon a Qt doc that mentioned it.) So, I decided to change my quite annoying and unreadable loops to foreach, but I failed with this: QDomNodeList list = doc.lastChild().childNodes().at(1).firstChild().childNodes(); for (int x = 0; x < list.count(); x++) { QDomElement node = list.at(x).toElement(); // Do something with node } This is how I tried: foreach (QDomElement node, doc.lastChild().childNodes().at(1).firstChild().childNodes()) { // Do something with node } For some reason the above code doesn't even compile. I get cryptic error messages from the compiler. Could someone please explain to me how to get it right? If the foreach loop doesn't support QDomNodeList, is there a way of handling XML files that do support foreach?

The database I want to link to the wiki was created with Elixir so I rewrote the Wiki database schema and have continued from there. In the wiki there is a requirement for a Navigation table which is inherited by Pages and Sections. A section can have many pages, while a page can only have one section. In addition, each sibling node can be chain-referenced to each other. Category table; id name left right Products table; id categoryId name How can I retrieve the full path, containing all parent categories, of a product? I.e.: RootCategory > SubCategory 1 > SubCategory 2 > ... > SubCategory n > Product Say for example that I want to list all products from SubCategory1 and it's sub categories, and with each given Product I want the full tree path to that product - is this possible? • Asp.Net tree view in SharePoint webpart- Input string error

  Hi All, I am facing a very strange issue. I have a SharePoint webpart that displays an asp.net tree view. It takes tree depth from a drop down. To improve performance of the tree view, i am setting the PopulateOnDemand property to true for the last level of the tree depth. For example, if i have a total of 10 levels in the data and the user selects tree depth as 3, then the third level data i set PopulateOnDemand to true. Now comes the strange part. When i click on the + image on the third level, and if there are children under that particular node then call back happens and node gets expanded. But if there no children for that particular node, then click + throws "Input string was not in the correct format" error. I have made sure that there is no server side error. Some things looks to be fishy when internet explorer is trying to bind construct the expanded node. Please let me know if any one faced similar issue or the resolution for the same? I can affect interface, but cannot change implementation (AImpl).   I need to implement a queue for messages on a game server so it needs to as fast as possible. The queue will have a maxiumem size. I need to prioritize messages once the queue is full by working backwards and removing a lower priority message (if one exists) before adding the new message. The appliation is asynchronous so access to the queue needs to be locked. I'm currently implementing it using a LinkedList as the underlying storage but have concerns that searching and removing nodes will keep it locked for too long.
