  • Action Script 3 / Flex builder 3 : How to make a diagram.

    Hi, I want to make a diagram with either flash CS4 or flex builder 3, don't know with one would be the best for the job. More about the task: I want to send in values external to the swf file. The swf-file takes the vaules and makes a diagram of it using x and y values. Any advise or tips of where i can make this is much appreciated! Thanks in advance! jesper

    Hi, i load in ActionScript a swf file. So far no Problem, but I didn't found a way to access one of it's functions, the best thing would be if I could access the main function in the mxml part of the swf.     Hi, I'm bit of a newbie and had a basic question regarding adhering to the MVC model in iPhone coding. How do I setup a Model class that holds my data and connect it to different controllers in the following setup: Using Interface Builder, I created a tab controller in which - Tab #1 has a Nav Controller and a hierarchy of View Controllers. - Tab #2 has a View Controller So with what I have now, the View Controller under Tab #1 alloc init's the model class and I know how to pass the model from one ViewController to the next in the Navigation Hierarchy where it can pass the data and/or be updated with new data. Question is how to pass it from Tab #1's View Controller to Tab #2 View Controller as there is no code linking the two??? Thanks in advance, Hiren.

  • Where do you put non-controller classes in codeigniter?

    I've got a class Widgets. Widgets are made up of Doohickies. I'm never going to need to access Doohickies directly via url -- they're essentially a private class, only used by Widgets. Where do you put your code to define the Doohicky class? In /app/controllers/doohicky.php? in app/controllers/widget.php? somewhere else? Obviously, the former seems cleaner, but it's not obvious to me how to make the Doohicky class available to Widget.

  • Struts 2: redirect-action ? From on page to another and back again.

    Hello, i have a jsp page that has a submit button. This button is linked with another jsp page. So lets assume my stuts file looks like this: B.jsp So now the submit button being on page "A.jsp" will take me to B.jsp. This works. The problem is that i want to do the following: press on the submit button on page A.jsp , go to B.jsp where i will press again a button and go back to A.jsp . The problem is that to page B.jsp go many pages, so B.jsp has to know when pressing the submit button to which page will take me back , in this case A.jsp again. So in a few words, B.jsp has to know from which page i came from so that i can go back again by pressing a submit button (this could be a parameter that would be sent back to A.jsp again, but does not really matter at the current point) A.jsp - B.jsp - A.jsp C.jsp - B.jsp - C.jsp

    Hi there, We're building an app which in part of its functionality tries to capture the number of likes associated to a particular video owned by a user. Users of the app are asked for extended off-line access and we capture the key for each user: The format is like this: 2.hg2QQuYeftuHx1R84J1oGg__.XXXX.1272394800-nnnnnn Each user has their offline / infinite key stored in a table in a DB. The object_id which we're interested in is also stored in the DB. At a later stage (offline) we try to run a batch job which reads the number of likes for each user's video. (See attached code) For some reason however, after the first iteration of the loop - which yields the likes correctly, we get a failure with the oh so familiar message: "Session key is invalid or no longer valid" Any insight would be most appreciated.   • How can I get a nstableview to send an action when the user double-clicks an editable cell

    I am trying to emulate the behavior found in finder and itunes. Single click on a selected object edits it. Double click opens the object. I have set the doubleAction of the tableView but like it says in the documentation. "If the double-clicked cell is editable, this message isn’t sent and the cell is edited instead." I dont want this. Is there a way i can get that message sent even if the cell is editable? I really have no idea how to begin implementing this. Any general pointers would be appreciated.

    I was looking at a sample of how to setup Unity IoC with MVC, and noticed someone who recommended the approach of having the parameters of Func. I believe the advantage is this is kind of like lazy loading the service, if it never gets called it will never get executed and not consume any resources. private readonly Func<IUserService> _userService; public CourseController(Func<IUserService> userService) { this._userService = userService; } Versus a parameter without a Func: private readonly IUserService _userService; public CourseController(IUserService userService) { this._userService = userService; } Can someone explain to me the differences, is it really more effecient?

I am prompted to choose from Send by SMS, Send by Email, Send by Bluetooth, Send by Fring etc. How do I make such a popup, it seamed to be automatically built? Also how do I tell what message to use? And if needed how do I tell who the contact is? Maybe chooses the options based on the contact, (if has email, show email)

  • How can I (reasonably) precisely perform an action every N milliseconds?

    I have a machine which uses an NTP client to sync up to internet time so it's system clock should be fairly accurate. I've got an application which I'm developing which logs data in real time, processes it and then passes it on. What I'd like to do now is output that data every N milliseconds aligned with the system clock. So for example if I wanted to do 20ms intervals, my oututs ought to be something like this: 13:15:05:0000 13:15:05:0020 13:15:05:0040 13:15:05:0060 I've seen suggestions for using the stopwatch class, but that only measures time spans as opposed to looking for specific time stamps. The code to do this is running in it's own thread, so should be a problem if I need to do some relatively blocking calls. Any suggestions on how to achieve this to a reasonable (close to or better than 1ms precision would be nice) would be very gratefully received.

  • AJAX in ASP.NET - How do I check a checkbox and have the action reflected in the database?

    This is about as beginner as it gets regarding AJAX, but here it goes. I want to have one checkbox somewhere on an ASP.NET web form (ASPX). When the user clicks the checkbox, I want one of those spinning indicators to show. While that spinning indicator is showing, I want an update operation to occur in the database to reflect that the user has intended for that checkbox to be checked. update MyTable set CheckboxChecked = 1 Then, as soon as the update operation has occurred, I want that to be reflected in the checkbox by removing the spinning indicator and replacing it with the standard checked checkbox. I'm guessing this is done with an UpdatePanel and possibly an update statement followed by a looped call to a select statement... but I have never used AJAX before and have no idea how to go about it. Thanks!
