• Working in Germany (Munich) [closed]

  My husband and I are relocating to Munich in August (He's German). I have been looking for jobs online since I heard that software developers are in great demand. And by the looks of it, seems to be correct. There are lots of offers on line but I have a problem, my german is not spectacular. I would rate it as basic. Good to be a tourist but not good to write anything formal, not even my cover letter. So I was wondering how hard is really going to be to find a job for me with virtually no german (I'm studying, but good german is not going to happen over night). Also, would it be possible to secure a job before arriving to Germany? I have nearly 10 years of working experience developing software, mostly in .net (c#, vb, winForms, asp.net) but I also know java. 3 years experience as a team leader for groups of up to 8 people. In the last couple of years I've been working mostly on digitalization of documents (such as birth certificates and the like) but I'm more than willing to try other fields Also I speak English, Spanish, Italian, a bit of portuguese and of course a bit of german.

  I am developing a custom module in Joomla for searching user profile in many ways. I want country, state and some other custom profile fields to be searched. I have tried importing jomsocial library class of profile fields, but I have one issue. I have no object to pass into that function as a parameter. I have tried to fetch field values from database, but I got them in as a single string which is not filtered. Can anyone help me to use jomsocial library in custom module Joomla?

• What is wrong with me - bug problem? [closed]

  I have about 6 years exp. in app. development. Not so long ago I had moved to another company and the problem has started. I ready don't know why the last time Im making so many bugs/mistakes. Of course Im testing the functionality before I send message that its "done", but I really don't know why I can't see trivial bugs. Some time it looks like I didnt test anything, but its not true. Ive always had this problems but now its pain in the a.s. My question is very simple, what happened to me ;)? Ok, joke aside. What do you do to avoid simple mistakes? plzzz don't tell me to use TDD.   Hi, Im doing a POC using Aspectj. class BaseInfo{..} class UserInfo extends BaseInfo{..} class UserService { public void getUser(UserInfo userInfo){..} public void deleteUser(String userId){..} } I've defined an advice, that gets invoked when I pass an UserInfo instance.But when i try to pass the BaseInfo, the advice is not getting invoked. Below block executes the afterMethod as expected for getUser. &ltaop:pointcut id="aopafterMethod" expression="execution(* UserService.*(..,UserInfo,..))" / &gtaop:after pointcut-ref="aopafterMethod" method="afterMethod" / But when i try to give BaseInfo instead of UserInfo, the aspect is not getting triggered. Am i missing something? Kindly help me on this issue.

• How do you remove Ubuntu? [closed]

  Possible Duplicate: How to remove Ubuntu and put Windows back on? I have no idea what was deleted or uninstalled or even what system ran previously on the computer. The computers are public computers for an office and no one know's how to use this system! Most people can't figure it out and have never even heard of it (I have because I knew someone who ran it)!! So how do I remove it? Is there anyway to just do a virtual restore? I'm hoping it was windows 7 on here previously cause don't most 7 systems have a built in windows installation disk iso? Anyone know how or if this can be fixed?? No we don't have the re-installation disks (if we did I would know the system and not have a problem) HELP!!!!

  I'm fairly new to OpenGL and I'm have been researching any books that would be beneficial, I've had suggested to me (I've finished reading the OpenGL Book online): Real Time Rendering GPU Gems 3 OpenGL Super Bible Does anyone know any other books that they've found useful in the past, even if it covers higher level algorithms. Also, can anyone suggest an IDE/Text Editor for Linux? I'm using Komodo and it's super buggy, I just booted into Windows today and tried Visual Studio and loved it, is their anything similar for Linux? Although, the books I've been reading are saying to not use IDEs, partly because of the reliance you place onto them, per se. I use Eclipse a lot for my Java programming, can I use C and OpenGL with that? Lastly, do you think it would be more beneficial staying on Windows and programming in C/OpenGL on their, I do like Linux, but I found Visual Studio to be pretty good in some aspects?

Use your tools first, don't begin with a unknown code first. By making small goals you ll not get frustrated. Start from smallest problem. Are there other principles?

I am doing a 301 redirect in my WP application using .htaccess and have mapped some of the URLs which have either been removed from the new domain or the URL structure has been changed.   Possible Duplicate: Why use other number bases when programming My coworkers and I have been bending our minds to figuring out why anyone would go out of their way to program numbers in a base other than base 10. I suggested that perhaps you could optimize longer equations by putting the variables in the correct base you are working with (for instance, if you have only sets of 5 of something with no remainders you could use base 5), but I'm not sure if that's true. Any thoughts?

  Hi I am getting ready to create my first web aplication.I have some knowledge of databases but I have never used databases with relationship created beetween them and also I am not sure how to acces the data in the relationship.My experience is limited to basic CRUD applications and working on simple tables with no realtionship using PHP and MySql. For example I will be creating a login system and for each user I would like to create a profile page that store different data(name , address , profile image etc.).Some of the info will be the same in both tables so there is no point in creating the same table twice.   I want to make a program/script that will be able to take the data from the excel spreadsheet in column A (for example, "team 123") and search Google and take the first 3 results from Google and put the data into the excel spreadsheet. I don't have that much experience in programming. So what language should I use? I know I have to use REST in the Google custom search API- how would I incorporate this? This might have been done before but all I've been able to find is scripts on how to export all the search results or the number of search results, not the first 3 search results. Thanks.
