    Some time in the near future I will need to implement a cross-language word count, or if that is not possible, a cross-language character count. I'd love it if I just had to look at English, but I need to consider every language here, Chinese, Korean, English, Arabic, Hindi, and so on.     I am creating a multilingual site that will need to support at minimum five different languages, including Korean and Chinese. The site language is ColdFusion, so Java is the native language. I want to make the site as easy as possible for the next programmer to update, and for third-party translators to use tools that will work easier for them than digging through a SQL database. So far I have come across Resource Bundles, GNU's GetText, and TMX. Which do you recommend and why?

    I have an option for a user to select his/her own theme while logged into the system and this theme is set in a MYSQL Database and called each time the user logs in, this is called by: <?php $_SESSION['SESS_THEME_NAME']; ?> Now, I had this working in a PHP file but I need it to work in Javascript instead unfortunately. And I need some help. I looked at the code using the developers tools on Google Chrome and looks like the above code is not resolving within the javascript file. Which makes sense because you can't access session variables within a javascript file (as I found by searching Google.) The code is basically supposed to set the specific stylesheet based on the value extracted from the MYSQL database. So if the database says Default the script needs to tell the webpage to use the default.css file. And so on and so forth. If I do the above then words like eété will still be picked but I don't want them to be picked: "été".match(/^[a-zA-Z]+/) => #nil good I didnt want that word "eété".match(/^[a-zA-Z]+/) => #not nil tricked into picking something i did not want

    Hi, I am having trouble with an cups installation. It seems to be in a broken state. When i try to reinstall it it stalls, the same if i try to remove it completely. When i try to start the cups daemon with the following command sudo service cups start It just stays there and nothing happens.
