  • Silverlight DataGrid vertical scrollbar issue

    I have a DataGrid in my silverlight application and I'm wondering how to get the same behavior for the vertical scrolling as the horizontal scrolling. When I resize the browser horizontally, The app will bunch up all the controls and the horizontal scrollbar will appear, however when I resize it vertially, the controls at the bottom of the app just move out of view. Does anyone know any tricks to handle something like this?

    Hi I created a new DataGridCell style for my wpf datagrid (Red Border brush). When I scroll down vertically the selected cells disappear which is ok. When I scroll up I see the selected cells but few of them missing their style and it appear in wrong cells. It look like the data grid remember the selected cells but "forget" their style. Any idea? haim

    I want to assign a background color to my programmatically created Dojo DataGrid's header row. I've tried to override the defaults by adding .dojoxGridHeader or .dojoxGrid-Header to my style sheet, but these have no effect. Is there another way, such as with a Dojo event or property? If my style sheet is the only way to go, am I using the wrong class? Thanks! Alan

    I am trying to make one field in a datagrid editable with a numeric stepper. My current attempts look like they are working, but the dataProvider is not actually being changed. Based on what I have read in a billion different places, the syntax should be < mx:DataGridColumn dataField="a" itemRenderer="mx.controls.NumericStepper" rendererIsEditor="true" editorDataField="value" / > I have tried several variations on this theme, and nothing seems to work. What am I missing?

    Hi Is there a way for a right click event to select a row in toolkit datagrid? I'm using toolkit context menu which works nicely, but the problem is, only left click is able to select rows, and I need right click to be able to do that if I want my context menu to work properly.     If i have DataGrid which looks like: Col 1 Col 2 ------- ------- 1 a 2 b 3 c ... ... n n Can the order be reversed easily without sorting? So that n is first, and 1 is last. I have custom sort implemented from this article, but sorting the same column twice in a row calls sorting function twice (which is slow), so just reversing the order should be faster and have the same effect.

    I'm having a heck of a time trying to get a silverlight datagrid to properly sort, and do so quickly (sub 1/10 second). Here's the scenario: -WCF callback every 1/5 of a second -Take the callback, match up to the existing record in an ObservableCollection -Update the ObservableCollection's properties -Bind the grid. I've tried a linq query, PagedCollectionView, and observablecollection.select(), all are waaaaaaay too slow, and introduce 12+ second delays in processing. Anyone else experience this?
