  • Cache aspx page returning an asset on client?

    How do you cache an aspx page call on the client? The aspx page returns an asset and looks like this: http://srv-edu-build/edumatic3/dev/RetrieveBlob.aspx?assetId=31809&assetFileId=9823 We have tried with Output Cache, with caching in the code behind, but the only result we get is server side caching (by IIS7). In the header of the response cache-control is set to public and expiration time is set (to 14800 as set in output cache profile).

  • iPhone: Prevent View from Rotation

    Hi, I use a UITabBarController with 4 views. The first of those 4 views should be able to rotate, the other three not. And now the problem is, when having a tab bar controller you have to set all used views to rotatable (i.e. returning TRUE in shouldAutorotateToInterfaceOrientation). So, my question is now, can I prevent the three views from rotation even though the shouldAutorotateToInterfaceOrientation method returns TRUE? Thanks for your help. Regards Matthias

  • phpThumb cannot find ImageMagick / Imagick

    Hi, I'm having a problem with phpThumb. It says in the documentation that to get the best out of it, use ImageMagick / Imagick. I've got this installed on the Server (running Centos 5.1), and can run convert --version and get the right info back. I can also run which convert which returns /usr/bin/convert However, phpThumb can't location the convert program - the demo's show that: (requires ImageMagick, this server is running "n/a" so it will not work) Does anyone have any pointers on how to fix this? A WCF service gives me true or false when I enter a login and a password. Then, if it returns true, I want to remember the logged user. How can I do it? Using cookies or global variable or something else?

  • Why does this thumbnail generation code throw OutOfMemoryException on large files?

    This code works great for generating thumbnails, but when given a very large (100MB+) TIFF file, it throws OutOfMemoryExceptions. When I do it manually in Paint.NET on the same machine, it works fine. How can I improve this code to stop throwing on very large files? In this case I'm loading a 721MB TIF on a machine with 8GB RAM. The Task Manager shows 2GB used so something is preventing it from using all that memory. Specifically it throws when I load the Image to calculate the size of the original.   • NSCollectionView draws nothing

    I'm trying to set up an NSCollectionView (I have done this successfully in the past, but for some reason it fails this time). I have a model class called "TestModel", and it has an NSString property that just returns a string (just for testing purposes right now). I then have an NSMutableArray property declaration in my main app delegate class, and to this array I add instances of the TestModel object. I then have an Array Controller that has its Content Array bound the app delegate's NSMutableArray. I can confirm that everything up to here is working fine; NSLogging: [[[arrayController arrangedObjects] objectAtIndex:0] teststring] worked fine. I then have all the appropriate bindings for the collection view set up, (itemPrototype and content), and for the Collection View Item (view). I then have a text field in the collection item view that is bound to Collection View Item.representedObject.teststring. However NOTHING displays in the collection view when I start the app, just a blank white screen. What am I missing? I can verify that the Array Controller has the objects in it by NSLogging [arrayController arrangedObjects], and it returns the correct object. Its just that nothing displays in the NSCollectionView. UPDATE 2: If I log [collectionView content] I get nothing: 2009-10-21 08:02:42.385 CollViewTest[743:a0f] ( ) The problem is probably there. UPDATE 3: As requested here is the Xcode project: http://www.mediafire.com/?mjgdzgjjfzw Its a menubar app, so it has no window. When you build and run the app you'll see a menubar item that says "test", this opens the view that contains the NSCollectionView. Thanks

    I'm having a problem with svn, where running 'svn up' produces the following error: svn: Unexpected end of svndiff input Ironically, running 'svnadmin verify repository_path' also returns the same error. It happens on existing working copies and brand new working copies too. Anybody had and solved this problem before? We've been using svn for a number of years and know our way around pretty well, but this one has us stumped!

    I'm having some trouble unit testing the model returned by DefaultModelBinder. I want to feed in a fake form collection and check the model that it returns to make sure model properties are being bound properly. In my research, I'm not turning up -any- resources on testing the DefaultModelBinder. Maybe I'm missing something. Maybe I shouldn't be testing this part of MVC? Your thoughts?

  • Objective C: Initalizing static variable with static method call

    The Compiler claims an error saying: "initializer element is not constant", when I try to initialize a static variable inside a method with a call to a static method (with + in its definition). Anyway I can tell him that this method always returns the same value. I know this is not the same as static method, but there seems to be no constant methods in Objective-C (other than macros which won't work here because I am calling UI_USER_INTERFACE_IDIOM() from inside the method).
