    i'm trying to put large amount of data in a java me application for a BlackBerry mobile and i noticed that the max file size to be accepted in BlackBerry is 150 KB, by the way i'm developping the application in arabic language so i'm converting every litter to his corresponding unicode so every char gets to 6 chars so its another big problem, some ppl told me that i can write arabic as arabic letters without the need to write its unicode, by viewing the mobile form as an html page, my problem is that i dont know how to view the page as html page and what is XMLParser ?? can anyone help me to get all this together, cos i really need some serious help thank you alot Hesham

  • Increasing JRE Memory Usage in Eclipse

    I read in another question that you can increase the JRE memory allowance for an app through Window - Preferences in Eclipse, but I can't seem to find anything related to heap memory allocation. Editing -xms/xmx values in eclipse.ini doesn't help since those are for Eclipse itself.

  • Multiple gcc on Mac OS X

    I did a port install for gcc version 4.7.1 (MacPorts gcc47 4.7.1_2) I named the executable as g+ and placed it in one my $PATH. I use gcc 4.7.1 when I need c++11 standard. I haven't changed the original g++ so as not messup XCode. I am using eclipse-cdt and running the make all from the window.   • Nexus One USB freezes Vista SP2 Quad Core

    My Nexus One (N1) will occasionally freeze my Vista 32bit SP2 Quad Core 2.4GHz during POST. MB is ASUS P5N-E SLI with 4GB of RAM. The PC will be booting and when I connect the N1 via USB, the boot sequence will freeze, then continue once I unplug the N1 USB link. It happens whether the N1 is in USB debugging mode and when it is not. I'm not sure whether this is an N1 hw/fw issue, system interaction with my PC, or a result of my N1 development environment (I'm using the Eclipse Galileo IDE for Java Developers, primarily compiling to API Level 7. Eclipse has also occasionally frozen although I haven't established N1 USB cause-and-effect on that issue). Is anyone else experiencing these symptom?

  • Designing web-based plugin systems correctly so they don't waste as many resources?

    Many CMS systems which rely on third parties for much of their code often build "plugin" or "hooks" systems to make it easy for developers to modify the codebase's actions without editing the core files. This usually means an Observer or Event design pattern. However, when you look at systems like wordpress you see that on every page they load some kind of bootstrap file from each of the plugin's folders to see if that plugin will need to run that request. Its this poor design that causes systems like wordpress to spend many extra MB's of memory loading and parsing unneeded items each page. Are there alternative ways to do this? I'm looking for ideas in building my own. For example, Is there a way to load all this once and then cache the results so that your system knows how to lazy-load plugins? In other words, the system loads a configuration file that specifies all the events that plugin wishes to tie into and then saves it for future requests? If that also performs poorly, then perhaps there is a special file-structure that could be used to make educated guesses about when certain plugins are unneeded to fullfil the request. Any ideas?   • Standalone XULRunner app not loading the Flash player plugin

    Hi, I have created a standalone XUL application, and I copied "NPSWF32.dll"(flash plugin dll) to the "plugins" folder under the browser. When I launch the application, flash content is not getting displayed. If I set the MOZ_PLUGIN_PATH to the "plugins" directory before launching the application, everything is working as expected. Could someone tell me, what I needs to do in order to load the flash plugin automatically from the "plugins" folder. Thanks, Rajeesh
