  • Get Process ID of Program Started with C# Process.Start

    Thanks in advance of all of your help! I am currently developing a program in C# 2010 that launches PLink (Putty) to create a SSH Tunnel. I am trying to make the program able to keep track of each tunnel that is open so a user may terminate those instances that are no longer needed. I am currently using System.Diagnostics.Process.Start to run PLink (currently Putty being used). I need to determine the PID of each plink program when it is launched so a user can terminate it at will. Question is how to do that and am I using the right .Net name space or is there something better?   • Very strange client/browser issue

    One of our clients has logged a very strange issue with us- We launched a preview for their website, but when it's viewed on their main PC, peculiar things start to happen... At first, the stylesheet wasn't being found, and so accessing any page resulted in one void of all styles. We sent them a direct link to the stylesheet, which was viewable from all our computers in the office - but gave a "File Not Found" error on their side. I then deleted the file, and replaced it with a new blank file, which he could then access. Copy-pasted screen.css contents into this file, and he could then view it fine, and stylesheets magically worked on the site again. Now, he can view styles, but not the referenced header images. The strange thing is that this problem doesn't exist on any other PC we've tested, or on any other site on the problem computer, but obviously we'd like our client's site to work for them. The strange thing is, they can view other sites of ours, hosted on the same server, built on top of the same CMS (and so most of the files are the same) without problem - but are getting 404s for files that most definitely do exist. Stylesheets are not turned off, nor is anything specifically deactivated on their browser (as other sites are fine) Reloading with CTRL+F5 doesn't help The client is using the latest version of firefox Any ideas here on what to try / how to narrow the problem down?

    I'd like to setup a RegularExpressionValidator to ensure users are entering valid windows IDs in a textbox. Specifically, I'd like to ensure it's any three capital letters (for our range of domains), followed by a backslash, followed by any number of letters and numbers. Does anyone know where I can find some examples of this type of validation...or can somebody whip one up for me? :)

    We have a client that has been configured to connect to an asmx service. We don't want to ask our customers to update their configuration, but we would like to upgrade our service to use WCF. Does anyone know if WCF supports this? If so, what would the configuration file look like?     I have some textboxes on a webform that have ids like this: txtFinalDeadline_1 txtFinalDeadline_2 txtFinalDeadline_3 txtFinalDeadline_4 In my jQuery how do I find all of those in order to assign a value to them. Before I had the underscore and they were all named txtFinalDeadline I could do this and it worked. $(this).find("#txtFinalDeadline").val(formatDate); However, that was when they were all named the same thing. Now I have the _x after the name and I'm not sure how to go about assigning that same value as before to them. Thanks.

    Hey Everybody I'm trying to understand better how windows sessions work, so if I have some weird mistakes in the question, please, let me know :-) . I use LsaEnumerateLogonSessions() to get all the logged on sessions in the system. Now I have LUID that represents a log-on, and if I understand correctly, it represents a user that logged on or a build it user like SYSTEM. Now, if user X starts a process, windows gives that process a token that represents X. So here comes my question: Is there a way (in a windows service) to get the user's token from LUID? I know I can get it from a process HANDLE, but that is not what I want... Thanks a lot!

    I have two tables detail and head. The detail table will be written first. Later, the head table will be written. The head is a summary of the detail table. I would like to keep a reference from the detail to the head table. I have a solution but it is not elegant and requires duplicating the joins and filters that were used during summation. I am looking for a better solution. The below is an example of what I currently have. In this example, I have simplified the table structure.   • rabbitmq-erlang-client, using rebar friendly pkg, works on dev env fails on rebar release

    I am successfully using the rebar-friendly package of rabbitmq-erlang-client for a simple Hello World rebarized and OTP "compliant" app and things work fine on the dev environment. I am able to fire up an erl console and do my application:start(helloworld). and connect to the broker, open up a channel and communicate to queues. However, then I proceed to do rebar generate and it builds up the release just fine, but when I try to fire up from the self contained release package then things suddenly explode. I know rebar releases are known to be an obscure art, but I would like to know what are my options as far as deployment for an app using the rabbitmq-erlang-client.   • Service reference not generating client types

    I am trying to consume a WCF service in a class library by adding a service reference to it. In one of the class libraries it gets consumed properly and I can access the client types in order to generate a proxy off of them. However in my second class library (or even in a console test app), when i add the same service reference, it only exposes the types that are involved in the contract operations and not the client type for me to generate a proxy against. e.g. Endpoint has 2 services exposed - ISvc1 and ISvc2. When I add a service reference to this endpoint in the first class library I get ISvc1Client andf ISvc2Client to generate proxies off of in order to use the operations exposed via those 2 contracts. In addition to these clients the service reference also exposes the types involved in the operations like (type 1, type 2 etc.) this is what I need. However when i try to add a service reference to the same endpoing in another console application or class library only Type 1, Type 2 etc. are exposed and not ISvc1Client and ISvc2Client because of which I cannot generate a proxy to access the operations I need. I am unable to determine why the service reference gets properly generated in one class library but not in the other or the test console app.
