• Activiti Engine: Task Event - User is null

  I have a problem, which should be simple to solve, but i can't find the method to call to solve this problem: My problem is, that every Task Event (org.activiti.engine.task.Event) returnes null by calling Event.getUserId(); If I take a look into the database I see that the database table ACT_HI_COMMENT has null as value for the column USER_ID_ for every row. I generate these TaskEvents programmatically by calling (for example) processEngine.getTaskService().addComment(task.getId(), null, commentMessage); processEngine.getTaskService().addUserIdentityLink(task.getId(), user.getId(), IDENTITY_LINK_OBSERVER); I guess there is a simple method that I must call to solve this problem, something like processEngine.setCurrentUser(authenticatedUser.getId()); Any suggestions?

• Sharepoint 2010 Calendar Event Receiver

  I have been tasked with creating a calendar in a root site that get's updated from child site calendar events. I am able to access the Calendar List from the parent site in the child site's to add an event. However, I'm having trouble finding a way to create a uniqueIdentifier for the event so that when the child calendar's event is updated or deleted, the parent site calendar get's updated as well. The ListItem ID field appears to be only unique among the site. I did find a UniqueItemId field, but apparantly it's read-only in the SP LIstitem object. Can someone please give me some guidance here? Many thanks!

  I'm working with Youtube API and Jquery. With a certain script I can get Youtube Feeds as an image, take a look at the example: JsFiddle I'm trying to do a Jquery click event which will have to invoke another script called 'embedly' like this: $("a").click(function(event) { event.preventDefault(); $(this).embedly({ chars: 220, nostyle: true, key:':41f042ec20b04dda84448dc4a46d357d' }); }); It doesn't seem to work. When I do this from my desktop the click does not invoke the embedly part and also goes to the url regardless of the prevent default.

Now problem occurs when i execute the page, it executes javascript but server side code doesnot fire, but if i remove this line onchange="javascript:return ChangeHeader();" then server side code fires. when i checked source page it shows me two onchange events associated one for javascript and other for server side. i think that it is picking client side code and neglects server side. I am not pretty sure, so i want to know the behavior reason. And what is the way out for this. i want server and client side code to be executed. i have searched for solutions but i have not found any correct reason. please reply for the same.   I just implemented Clone from ICloneable and realized that the event subscriptions from my source instance also followed. Is there a good way to clear all those? Currently I am using a couple of these loops for every event I have to clear everything. foreach (var eventhandler in OnIdChanged.GetInvocationList()) { OnIdChanged -= (ItemEventHandler) eventhandler; } foreach (var eventhandler in OnNameChanged.GetInvocationList()) { ... This works fine but clutters the code a bit. Mostly worried to get event dangling.

  I have a Silverlight control on page which has a upload control. the silverlight exposes some events such as StartUpload() = To start the file upload, StopUpload() = To stop the file upload if running, CheckFileStatus() = to check the status of the file upload. The page has aspx Submit button with onclientclick event and ocClick event. <asp:Button ID="btn_upload" Text="External Upload" runat="server" OnClientClick="Javascript:StartUpload();" OnClick="btn_upload_Click" /> When I click on the aspx Submit Button, the file selected in Silverlight control should be uploaded and after the completion of upload, the Server side event should get called. I tried for it but was not able to do so. Please help me out!....

• IE7 and IE8 change event not being thrown for text input

  I have a form that I auto focus at startup of the page with jquery. I also have change event handlers in place for whenever an input changes. If I change the value of the first field that was autofocused, and then move to the next field, the change event handler doesn't fire. If I remove the autofocusing, and just focus manually, then change it then move to the next field, the change event does fire. This only happens on IE. It works fine on firefox and chrome. Anyone experience this before?

  I have the following simplified html: <div class="foo" style="width:200px; height:200px;"> <input type="checkbox" /> </div> <script type="text/javascript"> $('.foo').click(function(){$(this).find('input:checkbox')[0].click();}); </script> Clicking the 200x200 div 'foo' works well, and raises the click event for the checkbox inside it. However when I exactly click the checkbox itself, it fires its 'normal' event, plus the jquery bound event above, meaning the checkbox checks itself, then unchecks itself again. Is there a tidy way to prevent this from happening?

• Problems with the Enterframe Event

  Hey guys, I have been developing a game using Flex, and used the Timer class to keep the main loop going. However, when I tried using the enterFrame event to do the main loop, there were a few problems. First of all, physics simulation seemed way too fast. Is the enterFrame event called more than once per frame? I set the application's global frame rate to 24, so shouldn't the application set off the event every 1/24 of a second? And the second problem is that when the game runs like this, some MXML components that are added are not shown. I have absolutely no idea why this happens. Help me please?!? Thanks.

• How to avoid oscillation by async event based systems?

  Imagine a system where there are data sources which need to be kept in sync. A simple example is model - view data binding by MVC. Now I intend to describe these kind of systems with data sources and hubs. Data sources are publishing and subscribing for events and hubs are relaying events to data sources. By handling an event a data source will change it state described in the event. By publishing an event the data source puts its current state to the event, so other data sources can use that information to change their state accordingly. The only problem with this system, that events can be reflected from the hub or from the other data sources, and that can put the system into an infinite oscillation (by async or infinite loop by sync). For example A -- data source B -- data source H -- hub A -> H -> A -- reflection from the hub A -> H -> B -> H -> A -- reflection from another data source By sync it is relatively easy to solve this issue. You can compare the current state with the event, and if they are equal, you don't change the state and raise the same event again. By async I could not find a solution yet. The state comparison does not work by async event handling because there is eventual consistency, and new events can be published in an inconsistent state causing the same oscillation. For example: A(*->x) -> H -> B(y->x) -- can go parallel with B(*->y) -> H -> A(x->y) -- so first A changes to x state while B changes to y state -- then B changes to x state while A changes to y state -- and so on for eternity... What do you think is there an algorithm to solve this problem? If there is a solution, is it possible to extend it to prevent oscillation caused by multiple hubs, multiple different events, etc... ? update: I don't think I can make this work without a lot of effort. I think this problem is just the same as we have by syncing multiple databases in a distributed system. So I think what I really need is constraints if I want to prevent this problem in an automatic way. What constraints do you suggest?

  Having started to upgrade our PCs to Windows 7 we have noticed that we are getting group policy warnings in Event Viewer such as: "The user 'Word.qat' preference item in the 'a_Office2007_Users {A084A37B-6D4C-41C0-8AF7-B891B87FC53B}' Group Policy object did not apply because it failed with error code '0x80070533 Logon failure: account currently disabled.' This error was suppressed." 15 of these warnings appear every two hours on every Windows 7 PC, most of which are to do with core office applications and two are for plug-ins to out document management system. These warnings aren't afecting the users, but it would be nice to track down the source of them before we rollout Win7 to the rest of the Organisation. Any ideas as to where the login issue could be comming from (All users are connecting to the domain and proxy, etc fine)?

  I get the following error logged into the Event Log every 5 minutes: The SSP Timer Job Distribution List Import Job was not run. Reason: Logon failure: the user has not been granted the requested logon type at this computer In addition, OWSTimer.exe periodically gets into a state where its consuming almost all the CPU and only killing the process or restarting the Sharepoint services fixes it (although I'm not sure if this is a related or seperate issue). I have tried the following (based on various suggestions floating around the web), all to no avail: iisreset (no affect) Added the Sharepoint and Sharepoint Search service accounts to Log on as a batch job and Log on as a service policies in the Group Policies for the domain. I went into the Local Computer Policy on the Sharepoint server and verified that those policies had actually been applied Verified that the Sharepoint and Sharepoint Search service accounts are both in the WSS_WPG group Verified in dcomcnfg that the WSS_WPG group (and indeed the Sharepoint and Sharepoint search service accounts) has local activation rights for SPSearch. Any more suggestions would be valued. Thanks

  I've installed libevent on my server in the directory root/data/ and have i'm about to install memcached with ./configure –with-lib-event=/data/; make; make install However, after running a bit I get this error saying i'm pointing to the wrong directory for libevent. checking for libevent directory... configure: error: libevent is required. You can get it from http://www.monkey.org/~provos/libevent/ If it's already installed, specify its path using --with-libevent=/dir/ make: *** No targets specified and no makefile found. • Subversion gives Error 500 until authenticating with a web browser

  We used to use Collabnet SVN/Apache combo on a Windows server with LDAP authentication, and whilst the performance wasn't brilliant it used to work perfectly. After switching to a fresh Ubuntu 10 install, and setting up an Apache/SVN/LDAP configuration, we have HTTPS access to our repositories, using Active Directory authentication via LDAP. We're now having a very peculiar issue. Whenever a new user accesses a repository, our SVN clients (we have a few depending on the tool, but for arguments sake, let's stick to Tortoise SVN) report "Error 500 - Unknown Response". To get around this, we have to log into the repo using a web browser and navigate 'backwards' until it works E.G: SVN Checkout https://svn.example.local/SVN/MyRepo/MyModule/ - Error 500 (bad) Webbrowse to https://svn.example.local/SVN/MyRepo/MyModule/ - Error 500 (bad) Webbrowse to https://svn.example.local/SVN/MyRepo/ - Error 500 (bad) Webbrowse to https://svn.example.local/SVN/ - Forbidden 403 (correct) Webbrowse to https://svn.example.local/SVN/MyRepo/ - OK 200 (correct) SVN Checkout https://svn.example.local/SVN/MyRepo/MyModule/ - Error 500 (bad) Webbrowse to https://svn.example.local/SVN/MyRepo/MyModule/ - OK 200 (correct) SVN Checkout https://svn.example.local/SVN/MyRepo/MyModule/ - OK 200 (correct) It seems to require authentication up the tree, starting from the svnparentpath up through to the module required. • Is browser based wireless authentication secure?

  Our wireless network previously used a preshared WPA/WPA2 key for guest access, which allows them access to the Internet. (Our employee access uses 802.1x authentication). We just had a wireless consultant come in to fix various wireless issues we had; one of the things he wound up doing was changing our guest access to HTML-based instead of the preshared key. So now that guest SSID is open (instead of using WPA) and users are presented with a browser-based login screen before they can get on the Internet. My question is: Is this an acceptable method from a security standpoint? I would assume that having an open network is necessarily a bad idea, but the consultant said that the traffic is still using PEAP, so it's secure. I didn't get a chance to question him further on this because we ran late and a bunch of other things came up. Please let me know what you think about the advantages/disadvantages of using HTML-based wireless authentication as opposed to using a preshared WPA key. Thanks...

• Apache 2.2.21 installation on Linux 6 but got error while accessing in browser

  I am very new to linux. I have install apache 2.2.21 on linux 6 platform. While i am using ./apachectl start or ./apachectl -k start command it shows that apache is started. But while i am trying to to access apache default page in any browser using " http://:8080 " it shows page cannot be displayed. Can any one help me on this issue ??????? Plz its urgent.. I need to go to Histories in Google chrome (ctrl + shft + del) and select "Del Cokies and Other datas" for entering into gmail again. My gmail page is workin just once. I nedd to log in. • No internet through a web browser but Skype still works

  We get our office broadband through a BT Business Broadband WiFi router. We have a mixture of macs and windows PC/laptops connecting to it at any one time. All devices are able to connect to the wireless signal with pretty much full signal. However, only two computers (one windows, one os x) are able to consistently connect to the internet. The other three (one windows, two os x), while they can always connect to the wifi, exhibit one of three characteristics. No internet at all. Programs like Skype work, but no internet through a browser. Internet works, but with intermittent lag when switching between different sites. I'm assuming while trying to resolve different addresses. Ignoring point 1 for moment, my gut is telling me DNS. It is an up to 20MB line that usually gets to between 13MB and 15MB downstream. The router is capable of dealing with the amount of wireless devices that we're throwing at it. Has anyone got any suggestions for how I might further diagnose this problem (preferably in OS X)? • ASP.NET MVC Page - Viewstate for Confirm email field is getting erased on Registration Page if valid

  Hi I have a Registaration page with the following fields Email, Confirm Email, Password and Confrim Password. On Register Button click and post the model to the server, the Model validates and if that Email is already Registered, it displays the Validation Error Message "User already Exists. Please Login or Register with a different email ID". While we are displaying this validation error message, I am loosing the value of "Confirm Email" field. So that the user has to reenter again and I want to avoid this. Here I don't have confirm_Email field in my Model. Is there something special that has to be done to remain Confirm Email value on the Page even in case of Validation failure? Appreciate your responses.
