  • Telerik RadWindow does not fire ClientCallBackFunction after a ajax an __DoPostBack

    HI, I have a Telerik radwindow that allows our users to upload files. When the user first opens the radwindow and sees the upload fields, they can happily select a file and upload it. The window then returns the id of the uploaded file back to the parent page via the ClientCallBackFunction. This function then passes in the ID to a javascript function that calls __DoPostback so that we can populate the list of uploaded files. First time around it works a treat. However all subsequent times it fails to call ClientCallBackFunction unless i refresh the entire page. I also note that any other control on the parent page to uses an ajax postback also stops the ClientCallBackFunction begin called, even on the first time. any ideas? Thanks Richard

  • Rebinding events in jQuery after Ajax update (updatepanel)

    I have several input and option elements on my page, each (well almost) have an event attached to update some text on the page once they change. I use jQuery which is really really cool :) I also use Microsofts Ajax framework, utilizing the UpdatePanel. The reason why I do that is that certain elements are created on the page based on some server-side logic. I don't really want to explain why I use the UpdatePanel - even if it could (it can with quite some effort) be rewritten to use only jQuery I still want that UpdatePanel. You probably guessed it - once I have a postback on the UpdatePanel the jQuery events stops working. I actually was expecting this, since the "postback" is not really a new postback so my code in document.ready that binds the events won't be fired again. I also confirmed my suspicion by reading up on it in the jQuery help libraries. Anyway I'm left with the problem of rebinding my controls after the UpdatePanel is done updating the DOM. I preferably need a solution that does not require adding more .js files (jQuery plug-ins) to the page but something as simple as being able to catch the UpdatePanel's 'afterupdating' where I can just call my method to rebind all the form elements.

The listbox displays the data perfectly but when I add a new record using the data entry form, the listbox is not updated until I reopen the window. Is there a way to automatically update the listbox through binding or something?     Hi, I'm trying to print out raw ascii data to a thermal printer. I do this by using this code example: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/322091 but my printer prints always only one character and this not until I press the form feed button. If I print something with notepad the printer will do a form feed automatically but without printing any text. The printer is connected via usb over a lpt2usb adapter and Windows 7 uses the "Generic - Generic / Text Only" driver. Anyone knows what is going wrong? How is it possible to print some words and do some form feeds? Are there some control characters I have to send? And if yes: How do I send them? Thanks!

  • MetadataException: Unable to load the specified metadata resource

    All of a sudden I keep getting a MetadataException on instantiating my generated ObjectContext class. The connectionstring in App.Config looks correct - hasn't changed since last it worked - and I've tried regenerating a new model (edmx-file) from the underlying database with no change. Anyone have any... ideas? Edit: I haven't changed any properties, I haven't changed the name of any output assemblies, I haven't tried to embed the EDMX in the assembly. I've merely waited 10 hours from leaving work until I got back. And then it wasn't working anymore. I've tried recreating the EDMX. I've tried recreating the project. I've even tried recreating the database, from scratch. No luck, whatsoever. I'm truly stumped.

    I'm trying to use Environment.(...) in my Xamarin app. It complains that "Environment is an ambiguous reference between System.Environment and Android.OS.Environment" I can fix it by using the fully qualified name System.Environment.(...) but not with Android.OS.Environment.(...). For example: // Obviously ambiguous with error above using System; using Android.OS; // ... // OnCreate uses Bundle also in Android.OS //... string path = Environment.GetFolderPath(Environment.SpecialFolder.Personal); // Can be fixed by prefixing Environment with "System." But I can't fix it with any variation of possibilities using Android.OS including removing it and explicitly using it.     Scenario I have a DevExpress DataGrid which is bound to a DataSet in C#. I want to populate each dataset row to contain a string in the first column and a checkbox in the second. My code below doesn't work quite how I want it to, and I'm not sure why..... The Code As you can see I've declared a dataset, but when I try and pass in a new checkbox object to the 2nd column it just displays the system name for the checkbox.     Basics Hi all, I have see the tableToGrid method (by Peter Romianowski) defined as tableToGrid(selector, options) on the jqGrid wiki, but cannot find anywhere that has documentation of the options Does anyone know about these or where to find them? More What Im actually trying to do is encase the resulting jqGrid in a form, which will submit the checkbox values that are in a column of the table. My problem is that the tableToGrid method appears to be removing the name property from the checkbox elements and hence they are not being submitted with the form post.

    Dear experts, I would like to combine a the mousedown and mousemove and mouseup events together. Basically the application of this would be making a UI for selecting elements. Like selecting icons in windows when the mouse is clicked down and as you move it, a dotted border dynamically moves with it. I know this is possible with the predefined UI of Jquery. But I am building a web application that requires the integration of this and would like to know the technique.     I'm trying to set up jsTree to dynamically accept JSON data from django. This is the test data i have django returning to jstree: result=[{ "data" : "A node", "children" : [ { "data" : "Only child", "state" : "closed" } ], "state" : "open" },"Ajax node"] response=HttpResponse(content=result,mimetype="application/json") this is the jstree code I'm using: jQuery("#demo1").jstree({ "json_data" : { "ajax" : { "url" : "/dirlist", "data" : function (n) { return { id : n.attr ? n.attr("id") : 0 }; }, error: function(e){alert(e);} } }, "plugins" : [ "themes","json_data"] }); All I get is the ajax loading symbol, the ajax error response is also triggered and it alerts "undefined". I've also tried simpleJson encoding in django but with the same result. If I change the url so that it is receiving a JSON file with identical data, it works as expected. Any ideas on what the issue might be?
