  In the dictionary file, which I am editing I often need to insert character "?" on place of <. Is there a way to map "?" to some key so that I press "r" for replace and then my_shortcut to have < replaced by "?"? I found a way to make imap mapping in .vimrc: :imap <> ? But changing to inset mode is sub-optimal, would that be possible to make it all in replace mode and what should I write in .vimrc for that?

• How to prevent the copying of text from a textarea?

  I have an online typing software, which I'm currently working on. In the typing software, all is running good but I have come across the problem of dishonest users who might possibly type the text into the textarea, copy it, then reload the page (therefore resetting the timer) and pasting it in straightaway. So I was thinking along the lines of using something like evt.preventDefault(); when javascript detects the pressing of the ctrl / cmd button. But then again I realized that the user could go to the menu bar to press copy. So is there a cross-browser method to do both methods of disabling? • While Loop Taking Alot of CPU Usage

  I am creating a keystroke logger for my personal interest, as well wanting to know how to capture and use them as functions (like key shortcuts). I got the code to learn how keylogger and GetAsyncKeyState() work: http://www.rohitab.com/discuss/index.php?showtopic=9931 I got it to run under Code::Blocks, but the weirdest things is that when I check my task manager, my CPU Usage rises to 100%. When I close the program, it goes back down, and goes back up to 100 when I turn it back on. I presume it's because of the infinite while loop, constantly checking for inputs, but I wanna know if there's anyway to decrease the CPU usage, without losing function. P.S How would I make a key shortcut? Like press (Ctrl + E) to make the program exit?

  Hi, I have a Windows Phone 7 application with the following listbox and every item contains 2 textblocks and a HyperlinkButton. <ListBox.ItemTemplate> In the ViewModel constructor I have the following code: GetCommand = new RelayCommand(() ={some code}); where GetCommand is a property : public RelayCommand GetCommand { get; private set; } My problem is that GetCommand = new RelayCommand(() ={some code}); is not executing when I press the button. I must say that if dont place the HyperlinkButton insise the itemTemplate, everything works fine. • Generating a Grid of NSTextField Objects From NSDictionary Items

  I'm trying to create an vocabulary study application using Obj-C and the Cocoa frameworks. I have about two week's experience in both areas and have reached an edge of my current knowledge. Here's where I'm stuck. When I press a checkbox, a corresponding plist is loaded into memory as an NSDictionary. I want to generate a "Label: Textfield" pair for each key:value pair, where the Label is the key. When the text typed into the Textfield matches the key's value, I want the Label's text to turn green. So how would I generate this grid, and once generated, how would I make the text green upon correct input? Thanks!

  Hi, I am struggling to create a certain kind of application my Mac, using Xcode and Interface Builder (RubyCocoa). As I am a nuby (but understand some Ruby), I would like to know how I could let my interface appear only if a key is pushed (a toggle), while the program is running in the background. Similar behavior like when I'd press the F4-key to show Dashboard. Really neat would be if the program wouldn't be showing as running in the Dock, but as a funky icon in the top bar, like well "Growl". Thank you so much for your help, comments and feedback!

  I have MOSS. I want to make a page where a user, say administrator, could send some instructions to a server, for example using standard library and make task for a group of users forcing them to read files. After the reading users would press "already read it" and administrator would know who did it/who did not. I created simple workflow in office designer and choose assigne task to Group1, which is in the sharepoint server. After WF run everyone who is in Group1 get message about a task, that's great. However this task is general for group and if we go to the site section "current tasks", we can see it, while I want this task for every person in Group1. Futher question, is it possible to create form where administrator will choose users for this task, 'cause now I munualy set group in WF.

The instructions I am following suggest that if I click the item, the properties window will appear (it does), and then I can click ColumnDefinitions (which is a Collection) to bring up the Collection Editor and add some columns. However, the ColumnDefinitions property looks like this: The ColumnDefinitions ellipsis you'd normally press is gone, or invisible, or something. Any idea why?

  I am looking for the equivalent of running "File - Save All" before certain Rake macros. If I make a copy of a file in the solution explorer, that file is not included in the project file (.CSPROJ) after Pre_Rake() runs. I would still have to press CTRL-SHIFT-S or File - Save All. So, how to Save All with a Visual Studio Macro?

  has the HTML version changed lately (like from ie7 to IE8?) I notice the following change that cause me some troulbe - I am having a code that is similar to this: <form method="POST" action="/admin/modify"> <input type="text"/> <button onclick="dosomething()">Press</button> </form> <script type="text/javascript"> function doSomething(){ // doesn't matter what actually } </script> What is weired to me in this code is that by pressing the button inside the form, all I want is to perform some javascript action but eventaully it causes the form to be submitted too, even when I am not willing to do it. So - is it true? and if so how can I perform some java script actoin inside a from but prevent the form from being submitted automatically?

  Do you know of any Eclipse plugin to run a system shell in the included console? It would be awesome. Dolphin, KDE's file navigator, has this feature, you can press F4 and a console shows located on the directory you are standing. It would be awesome to have a similar feature on Eclipse, with the shell located on the directory of the project/file you are working on. Does this plugin exist? If not, would it be too complicated to code such a plugin? I have no idea about eclipse plugin development (yet).

  My android application get restarted when I take the application from home screen, but this not a consistent. Some time it works perfectly (resume with the last visited activity). My application contains a splash screen activity and 5 activities in tab layout. Usage Start application After splash screen the application shows one of the activity in tab Press home button Try to invoke application from home screen Application gets restarted, it is not happening always. I am working on actual device.   Recently switched to Textmate on Mac for coding. On PC when ever I want to tab in or out a block of code I just highlight and press tab or shift+tab to move it in our out. It's very useful when you are adding an extra loop or conditional statement to a block of code to keep everything tidy and neatly indented. On Textmate however when I try this it just replaces my selected text with a tab. So is there a way to do tab and de-tab lines of code in textmate?

  Google the phrase "Humans vs zombies" (just used for an example here, phrase doesn't matter). When you see the search results, put your fingers on the keyboard, and press tab until you get to the first result. It takes me over 10 tabs to get through the "images", "videos", "maps", "advanced search" and other links. (Do you get the same results?) How can I get it so pressing the tab key the first time takes me to the first link? I'm using FF 3.6. How might I be able to greasemonkey this?

  I have a python script which makes a GUI. When a button 'Run' is pressed in this GUI it runs a function from an imported package (which I made) like this from predictmiP import predictor class MiPFrame(wx.Frame): [...] def runmiP(self, event): predictor.runPrediction(self.uploadProtInterestField.GetValue(), self.uploadAllProteinsField.GetValue(), self.uploadPfamTextField.GetValue(), \ self.edit_eval_all.Value, self.edit_eval_small.Value, self.saveOutputField) When I run the GUI directly from python it all works well and the program writes an output file. However, when I make it into an app, the GUI starts but when I press the button nothing happens. predictmiP does get included in build/bdist.macosx-10.3-fat/python2.7-standalone/app/collect/, like all the other imports I'm using (although it is empty, but that's the same as all the other imports I have). How can I get multiple python files, or an imported package to work with py2app?

• Events doesn't fire when using UpdatePanel

  Hi, What I did is, I have made 2 user controls. One control is inside the other. NoW one control has a buttton and a data grid and datalist in it. When pressing button I am filling datagrid while datalist visiblity false. This is working fine. But now when I press some link button in datalist data, it should call item_command event but it is not calling. I have also used a Updatepanel as a wrapper(all controls are inside it). Please suggest what may be the reason for that. Thanks

• How to preload local javascript everytime a new tab or page is opened?

  I would like to autoload a local javascript file, everytime a new page/tab is opened in a browser. I tried the bookmarklet approach, but it gets tiresome as the button needs to be pressed everytime a new page/tab is opened. Chrome extensions also seem to work along the same lines (where you have to press an icon to run the js). Googling for javascript and preload seems to return everything except what I am looking for. Is there a browser indepent way of autoloading (no user action required) a local js file? If not, any browser specific info to do this would be appreciated (even if they mean reducing security by turning off required options). Thanks!

  Hi, I'm trying to create a PHP based game where you have to do all sorts of simple but un-obvious tasks in order to progress to the next level (eg. refresh browser, press keyboard combination, ...) Kinda like the game "this is the only level" (if anyone has ever heard of it) Now I was thinking: Would it be possible to create a level where they'd have to sign up at a different page in order to progress to the next level? So say for example they need to sign up to goal.com and if they're signed up they proceed to the next level. The page would need to constantly check if the signup process on the other site is completed. Is this even possbible? And if so, any thoughts on how? Thanks!
