  • NetBeans and Eclipse-like "run configurations"

    Is it possible to create anything similar to Eclipse's "run configurations" in NetBeans? I am working on a huge project which is currently not divided into any subprojects in Eclipse. There are in fact many applications in the project which have their own main-methods and separate classpaths. I know, it's a mess. I'm considering about migrating the project to NetBeans. In the long run it would be sensible to create many projects but for now it would be a real life-saver if I could do similar stuff in NetBeans than in Eclipse: create "launchers" which have their own classpaths. Is this possible? If it's easy to emulate this behaviour with "external" projects, hints about that are welcome as well.

Thus, I'll need to set up a cron job with a frequency of 1 minute. I think Google app engine gives free cron job. But i'm very new to it. I downloaded the java SDK and read the document but understood nothing :( So, i cant use Google app engine. From some research i did my problem is unique to my case so i decided to create a new question. Please go read that question before continuing with this one as they are closely related. Running the proposed code blocks the program at the waitFor invocation. After some research i found that the waitFor method blocks if your process has output that needs to be proccessed so you should first empty the output stream and the error stream. I did those things but my method still blocks. I then found a suggestion to simply loop while waiting the exitValue method to return the exit value of the process and handle the exception thrown if it is not, pausing for a brief moment as well so as not to consume all the CPU.     One particular user is getting an exception when connecting an application I created to a third party app using COM. The connection fails with the following error: Source: mscorlib Message: Exception from HRESULT: 0x80040202 This software works fine for other users. Any ideas what could be going on? The error occurs just before the app adds some event handlers to some of the COM objects from the third party app. It is able to successfully instantiate the objects, though.

  • Parse error when trying to install app on Asus eee PC 701 running Android 2.0

    A beta tester of mine has a Asus eee pc 701 running Android 2.0 and he is trying to install an app on it from my web site. He is able to download the app but is getting a "Parse Error: There is a problem parsing the package" error. I don't really know if this problem is with the eee pc or with the apk since he is the first person to try to install it. I built it for 2.0, the manifest has 5 as the minimum API level and I used Eclipse to export and sign it. But this is my first Android app and he is the first to try to install it, so I am not sure what the problem might be? Could just be the Android implementation too. I'd like to move to a more structured approach, so I have two options: Use custom SectionHandlers in the app.config Scrap app.config and use XAML instead.   • 'memcache-client' problem - app can't load the gem

    Hi all - i'm trying to get memcached and the Interlock plugin working with a new rails app. The weird thing is that they both work fine in another app on the same machine and i can't figure out the difference that's stopping this app. The new app is rails 2.3.4 and the old one is 2.2.2 in case that's a factor. When the app starts, i get a warning from interlock: `install_memcached':Interlock::ConfigurationError: 'memcache-client' client requested but not installed. Try 'sudo gem install memcache-client'. Now, i have memcache-client installed: $> gem list | grep memcache memcache-client (1.7.8) The gem is in /var/lib/gems/1.8, which is in my GEM_PATH variable. On a bit of further investigation, the above error is raised by interlock when it refers to the MemCache class, which doesn't exist and so raises an 'anonymous module' error. So, ultimately, the problem is that MemCache isn't loaded. I have a memcached.yml in my config folder (below) however.   • ASP.NET 32-bit machine compiled now trying to run on 64-bit machine

    I have an ASP.NET app that was compiled on a 32-bit machine. There are many different assemblies that are referenced. I opened the web site's main dll with ILDASM and looked at the .corflags. It stated it was ILONLY. However, when I run the web site locally on the 64-bit machine (Windows XP Pro 64-bit), I get "is not a valid Win32 applciation". Shouldn't the app run as 64-bit since it was compiled with "AnyCPU"? How can I get this to work? I am using .NET 3.5.

  • Configure JBOss cache to run on JBoss server 4.2.3.GA

    Our commercial application used to run on different application server and letely we started adjust it to run on JBoss server. The problem is that that application runs JBoss cache and as part of the integration with this framework, the web-inf\lib contains the follwing jars: jboss-aop.jar, jbosscache-core.jar, jboss-common.jar, jboss-common-core.jar, jboss-j2ee.jar, jboss-jmx.jar, jboss-logging-spi.jar This causes a problem to use JNDI through the application because the jboss-common-core.jar contain naming package that cause JBoss JNDI to work incorrect. So I need to find a way to organise my jars that on one hand jboss cache will keep working and on the other hand not to interfere to the work of JNDI Perhaps it include moving the some or all those jars from the web-inf\lib to the /server/default/lib Looking for someone who is familiar in this subject (continue of this thread: http://stackoverflow.com/questions/2847375/problem-configure-jboss-to-work-with-jndi3 )

  • How to highlight clicks in app widget?

    Hi everyone, I have an app widget which runs neatly. However, I am unable to highlight a click on a linked item. I've seen it in the standard app widgets like 'Music' and 'Power Control', for instance. Moreover, I've also been studying the Music app widget's source at album_appwidget.xml. The only thing I could think of is the LinearLayout defined at lines 23-35 which states android:clickable="true" Unfortunately, this does not work for me. So does anyone have a hint on how to highlight a click on an app widget? I've tried the LinearLayout, TextView and Button. None of them displayed a border as a highlight. Thanks in advance, Steff
