Could you please recommend me one that can do the following: The site I'm trying to build requires an extensive product catalogue, which will have around 600 products. Because there are so many products they will be uploaded using a CSV file or spreadsheet. Users must be logged in to see prices Users can add products to an order form, which they can then email to admin. (NO payment processing whatsoever) They will just add products to a cart, review the cart's content and click a button to send the order The order email to admin must have the order details attached in a CSV file. • Does DFP Small Business allow geotargeting?

  I'm working with a blog that has an advertiser who can only show ads for US/UK... so I'd like to set up an ad server that will show those advertiser's ads for US/UK customers, and then show Google Adsense ads for all other countries. It seems like DFP Small Business (Google's free ad server product) will do the job for all of this, but I'm not 100% certain it allows geotargeting as I've described. Is that possible?

  Possible Duplicate: Which Content Management System (CMS) should I use? I am looking to start a new forum, with a traditional forum layout (like webhostingtalk, for example). In this space, I know phpBB and SMF are strong contenders. I do not know for sure the names of other great forum software that might exist... My most important need is that it should be easy to modify the display area, at the least, without having to dig too much into the core. Drupal excels in this area with its templating system, but the forum module doesn't look like the forum interface most people are used to... It would be a great plus if the software has alternative Captchas like question based or invisible Captcha. If it doesn't, I would like to be able to code it in without much trouble (that is, the software exposes a good API)

• Using multiple A-records for my domain - do web browsers ever try more than one?

  If I add multiple A-records for my domain, they are returned in a round robin order by DNS-servers. E.g: 1.1.1.1 A example.com 1.1.1.2 A example.com 1.1.1.3 A example.com But how does webbrowsers react if the first host (1.1.1.1) is down (unreachable)? do they try the second host (1.1.1.2) or do they return a error message to the user? Are there any difference between the most popular browsers? If I implement my own application, I can implement so that the second is used in case the first is down, so it's possible. And this would be very helpful to create a fault tolerant website.

• Should I add a "nofollow" attribute to download links, or disallow the URLs in robots.txt?

  I have a download link very similar to Opera's one - it's just a script that sends the file. It doesn't have an extension and there's no obvious way to tell that it's actually a download link. So since I don't want robots to crawl this link, do I need to add it to robots.txt or maybe add a "nofollow" attribute to it? I see that on Opera's website they didn't do either of this, so perhaps it's not necessary?

• How can I find unused/unapplied CSS rules in a stylesheet?

  Hello, I've got a huge CSS file and an HTML file. I'd like to find out which rules are not used while displaying a HTML file. Are there tools for this? The CSS file has evolved over few years and from what I know no one has ever removed anything from it--people just wrote new overriding rules again and again. EDIT: It was suggested to use Dust-Me Selectors or Chrome's Web Page Performance tool. But they both work on level of selectors, and not individual rules. I've got lots of cases where a rule inside a selector is always overridden--and this is what I mostly want to get rid of. For example: body { color: white; padding: 10em; } h1 { color: black; } p { color: black; } ... ul { color: black; } All the text in my HTML is inside some wrapper element, so it is never white. body's padding always works, so of course the whole body selector cannot be removed. And I'd like to get rid of such useless rules too. EDIT: And another case of useless rule: when it duplicates existing one without changing anything: a { margin-left: 5px; color: blue; } a:hover { margin-left: 5px; color: red; } I'd happily get rid of the second margin-left... again it seems to me that those tools does not find such things. • host and share files in my hosting

  I currently have a domain+hosting with unlimited hosting space for our website. On the other hand, I use Dropbox to share our organizational files and photos between about 10 users. The thing is that sharing photos uses too much space for what a free Dropbox account offers. So I am thinking of taking advantage of my hosting space, but using FTP seems not to be ideal for users who are not too skilled with computers. In addition, it doesn't handle versions in case some user makes a mess of it. And using a public FTP to upload and giving them only download permission doesn't seem a good idea as I am only the CTO. So what I want is basically to implement a local Dropbox for a few users, but I'd prefer something that is not too complex to install/mantain. Thank you a lot.

  I have used the css style sheet as font-family:arial,helvicta,sans-serif,etc... in a php file when i checked it in browser i dont know which font it is using from the font-family . i wanted to know the exact font used by the browser to display. i.e whether it is using arial or helvicta or sans-serif for the text i have displayed. please any one let me know to find this. i have checked by putting this in wordpad but it is taking my default system font. Then i thought it might be my friends clicking thinking that that will help me (i didn't tell them to do it and don't know if they did) or something like that but than it couldn't be that because everyone can organize 10 people and get anyone who is a start-up banned? right?   I have a HTML5 based page, and I inculded the OpenGraph tags according to it's documentation. Also I checked with Facebook Debug, and it can parse the metadata. But when I use W3C Validator, it reports the OG tags as error: Attribute content not allowed on element meta at this point. <meta property="fb:admins" content="...." /> Attribute content not allowed on element meta at this point. <meta property="og:url" content="http://www...."> They are all in the <head>. I would need my page be "valid" HTML5 and OG tags, as well. Could you help me giving a hint how can it be achieved? UPDATE: The name version also invalid: <meta name='fb:admins' content=''>

• Are there any good reasons to intentionally serve a new web site in Quirks mode?

  I was a little surprised that Amazon's site doesn't specify a doctype, and is rendered in quirks mode. What could possibly be the reason for this? I understand what quirks mode is and why doctypes were introduced, but I can't understand why this would be intentionally left off. I guess it might simplify markup if they're trying to support ancient browsers, but isn't that like shooting yourself in the foot when it comes to modern browsers, especially when their site is so Javascript rich? Does this level the playing field when it comes to supporting really old browsers? Is there something else I'm missing?

• Admin form that generates an email confirmation ends up in SPAM [duplicate]

  This question already has an answer here: How can I prevent my mail from being classified as spam? 10 answers I have an admin form that I have setup for a client, that generates an email confirmation from a template I have designer... It works really well but it ends up in spam some of the time, and this is real frustrating as it is just confirming some details for the customer of what they have just booked, not at all spam, and is accessed via a page where the admin requires login. Any suggestions as to why this may end up in spam. It does have dollar signs ($$) as it is confirming a price, im assuming this is one problem, the rest of it is just general dates and info about the confirmation. Is there any suggestions on how to get this out of spam? thanks in advance

• multiple godaddy domains to home router then reverse proxy to multiple internal servers [closed]

  I need someone to steer me correctly... advising on all required components. I have multiple domains with godaddy, say site1.com , site2.com, site3.net I have multiple home LAMP servers... one on say, lampsrv1 = 192.168.0.2:8080 (windows) and lampsrv2 = 192.168.0.3:9080 (linux srv2) I would like to have server1.site1.com point to lampsrv1 and server2.site1.com point to lampsrv2 . I may also want server1.site2.com also point to my lampsrv1 as an option. My thinking is - I have a dedicated linux srv1 with a reverse proxy server behind the router, ie Apache or NGINX or equivalent directing to appropriate LAMP server. It's the godaddy subdomains, cnames or redirections, etc I'm having a challenge with for starters... I have tested apache with virtual servers but can't get proxying to work based on host header info... seems to go to one address making me think its actually the apache reverse proxying that's not quite working. Finally to add to this, my router has a dynamic IP but does lease for quite a while but that would be my final piece. So, I'm sure this might be a popular question but can't seem to piece this together. I need someone who has actually configured this scenario to advise but will take other suggestions.... please indicate if you have successfully configured this.

  My development team is considering implementing an eCommerce site using end-to-end SSL -- that is, every page on the site is accessed via an https:// URL -- rather than the more traditional "mixed mode" where most pages are accessed via http:// and only "secure" pages such as login and credit card entry are redirected to https://. Pros of doing such a "pure SSL" approach include avoidance of some session-hijacking attacks such as Firesheep; cons include performance considerations. My question is: Is anyone aware of a list of eCommerce websites (especially USA-based sites), or even specific websites, that use this end-to-end SSL approach? I'm especially interested in "regular" eCommerce sites rather than banks or other "financial" sites.

• Pointing a subdomain to Github Pages

  I set up an Octopress blog on Github Pages at myusername.github.com. I now want blog.myusername.me (which currently has a Wordpress blog set up) to point to this Octopress blog. So I followed the instructions here on setting up a custom domain: I ran echo 'blog.myusername.me' >> source/CNAME in my Octopress repository, and then ran rake generate and rake deploy to deploy it to Github. I went to Namecheap, and added a new CNAME under my myusername.me domain: "blog - myusername.github.com - CNAME". Waited a couple hours. However, now when I go to myusername.github.com, it redirects me to blog.myusername.me (which is my old Wordpress blog), which seems like the inverse of what I want. (Going to blog.myusername.me directly still shows my Wordpress blog.) I checked http://www.whatsmydns.net/#CNAME/blog.myusername.me and it seems like my DNS has propagated (myusername.github.com shows up in the right-hand side). Any ideas what I'm doing wrong?

  Should I be using WAI-ARIA in my website builds? Will it have any benefit? Is anyone adding 'role' to their code at the moment? The tab, link, checkbox and slider roles, plus many more, aren't available yet for HTML5. From looking at the list of what is available (see below), and what will be coming in the future, it looks like we might be applying roles to a huge amount of tags on our pages. Its not an issue especially if it brings benefit to users using readers etc Also, a side question, will search engines give any benefits to sites using WAI-ARIA? • Google analytics - drop in traffic

  Bit of a general question here. We are in the process of converting a number of our clients from older web sites to new ones. The problem we are getting, and sorry for being so general here, is we are getting a sharp decline in traffic as reported on Google Analytics. It's not a gradual decline, it seems to hit almost as soon as the new site goes live. I've just got a few questions to see if there is something we are doing wrong: a) We are using the same analytics accounts going from old to new site. Is this a bad idea? b) The actual analytics code is integrated into the pages using a server-side include. IS this a bad idea? c) We structure our sites differently to our old site. IE. The old sites would pretty must have all the web pages in the root directory, and hyperlinks would be linked to the page files: EG. <a href="somepage.aspx">Link</a> Our new sites now have a directory structure that pretty much reflects the navigation structure, and hyper links link to the pages directory instead of the actual page: EG. <a href="/new-items/shoes/">New shoes</a> Is this a bad idea. I'm really searching for a needle in a haystack here. Would appriciate any help or advice as to why we are getting such a sharp and sudden drop in traffic. Again, so this is such a general question. • MODX based site has been compromised, and tagged by Google as malware

  I'm the webmaster (inherited the site from the developer) for a site called kenbrook.org. The site is currently being tagged as malware infected by Google, and gives the following details: http://www.google.com/safebrowsing/diagnostic?site=kenbrook.org Sadly, this is the second time it has occurred. I posted the issue when it happened last year originally on Stackoverflow on this post, shortly after I inherited the site. At the time the fix was a simple removal of a few lines of code from a .js file, but I never did discover or resolve the vulnerability. The site is built on MODX, which neither I, nor the original builder, have any familiarity with. I've tried to check for security updates from MODX, but updating that software has been a real pain also. Sooo...what's my next step to getting this whole issue resolved? Or steps?

So my question is, is it possible for me to update my modules on a VPS and if so how would I do this, or is this something I'll need to try get my host to do? Thanks in advance.

• I have done everything correct on my asp.net website, re: SEO; why aren't google backlinks showing?

  I recently implemented many SEO techniques for a company on their asp.net website; in 6 months, we jumped from a PR1 to a PR3. But I'm having issues with google backlinking. Here are some of the things I've done: Not only did I set up their own Google+ page 6 months ago, I update it pretty much daily with links, pictures, etc., and I blog about it on my own personal Google+ page and post links, etc. ... They have their own Twitter, Facebook, YouTube, and all are updated almost daily. I've listed in as many quality, relevant directories as possible 6 months ago; I've avoided link farms. The site is solid SEO-wise. Key-phrase rich URLs, schema.org & rich snippets. No duplicate content ... www or non-www 301's, trailing slashes, etc. ... all taken care of. Probably a ton of other things, but basically, the site is all set, SEO-wise. Here's what's confounding: When I do a link:www.example.com in Bing/Yahoo, it shows many backlinks. When I do a link:www.example.com in google, it shows up 0 links. Or when I use a site-ranker like Web Site Rank Tool it's showing 0 backlinks from Google. Any suggestions would be appreciated!
