    HTTPService has a property resultFormat which can be set to any of the following: array e4x flashvars object text xml I looked at the documentation to understand the difference, but still couldn't understand when to use each. I'm looking for the lightest weight of all of them. P.S. I'm consuming output from my own server, so can change the output format as needed to make it compatible with each.

    How do you render the cursor and create highlighting for selected text in Pango? Also, can I use PangoCairo to render parts of a layout at a time, so I can draw it in different ways (such as with an outline)? Finally, how did you get your understanding of Pango, there doesn't seem to be very many tutorials and the technical documentation only describes the functions. Thanks!

  • Styling buttons of Flex TabNavigator

    I created a TabNavigator with a bunch of NavigatorContent inside it, and want to skin just the buttons of the tabs themselves. So I added a skinClass, but looks like in the documentation, there's no skin part to target the button specifically. Do I have to style the mx:TabNavigator itself to accomplish this? I was hoping not since I don't know how to style mx components and am more comfortable with styling spark. Any other alternatives that I didn't think about?

    i am using amazon simpledb with the aws_sdb gem and aws-sdb proxy as outlined in a documentation from amazon with ruby on rails and a local aws proxy that runs on webrick (providing a bridge with ActiveResource). see http://developer.amazonwebservices.com/connect/entry.jspa?externalID=1242 i am wondering if the aws-sdb-proxy (webrick!) is suitable for high traffic load, since webrick is supposed to be a development server. anyone has comments or experiences?

    I'm using identity specification for a table of sql server 2012. Let we have two Insert and then two Delete operation. After these operation primary key should start from 1, but it will start from 3. I'm worry about this problem causing no place for inserting new item after long time.     I am trying to access the OpenGL capability of the phone before deciding whether to use OpenGL or Canvas for graphics puposes. However, all the functions that I can read documentation on requires you to already have a valid OpenGL context (namely, create a GLSurfaceView and assign it a rendered. Then check the OpenGL parameters in the onSurfaceCreated). So, is there a way to check the extensions, renderer name and max texture size capability of the phone BEFORE having to create any OpenGL views?
