  Can the locale configuration of a system OR the keyboard type configuration of that system in anyway affect which API is called at the Kernel level? To be specific, if a program is invoking 'CreateFile()' API then the windows API documentation says that the call gets delegated to either CreateFileA or CreateFileW. If that program is being run on a system present in China with a Chinese Keyboard then which of the two functions will be called?

The icons signals are handled by the following method def entry_icon_event(self, widget, position, event) I'm trying to differentiate between the two of them: <enum GTK_ENTRY_ICON_PRIMARY of type GtkEntryIconPosition> <enum GTK_ENTRY_ICON_SECONDARY of type GtkEntryIconPosition> How can I do this? I've been digging through the documentation of PyGTK but there's no object GtkEntryIconPosition nor any definition for this enums. Thanks

  Hi, I made a query to an address and I got the readyState = 4, and the status = 0. After I read the documentation for the XMLHttpRequest, it says if the status = 0 and readyState = 4, then check the associated error flag. How can I see whats in this error flag to determine the cause of the status not being set to 200? Thanks.

  Hi, I'm pretty useless when it comes to math and I have a problem I need help with. This has nothing to do with schoolwork, it's in fact about alcatel and the ticketextractor. I have two values that needs to be calculated in a c# application according to a formula specified in their documentation: "The global callid is equal to: callid1 multiplied by 2 power 32 plus callid2" As I said I'm not big with maths so that statement says nothing to me.   So I've got an IKBrowserView all wired up and happily dragging my custom datatype (provided lazily via PasteboardItem) from one window to another, but now I'm interested in detecting when the user drops some data onto the trashcan. Cocoa's documentation says to check the return type of the drag operation itself, but how exactly do I do this with an IKBrowserView? Once I call imageBrowser:writeItemsAtIndexes:toPasteboard: I don't seem to get any notifications other than the request for the pasteboard contents, which doesn't provide a pointer to the drag operation that invoked it.

  I just want to clear this up once and for all, is it ok to subclass a UIWebView? Will I ever have to be nervous about apple rejecting the app because of a UIWebView subclass? The documentation states: Subclassing Notes The UIWebView class should not be subclassed.
