  • How to rename multiple files in multiple folders with 1 command

    We want to rename our *.html files to *.php but (sadly enough) have not enough knowledge to do it with a dos batchfile and/or cmd prompt command. The problem is that each file is in seperat folder and yes talking about 1500+ different folder names. Using wildcards for the files I know is the '*' but using also a wildcard for folders is unknown to me. We probably need to use the (MSDOS) 'FOR' command but there I am stucked. Folder structure we use is: parent-folder/child-folder/grandchild-folder/file.html sample: games/A/game_name/file.html, games/B/game_name/file.html, games/C/game_name/file.html and so on. The parent folder is for all files the same, the child & grandchild folders are different for most files. After renaming these files to .php I assume following in the .htaccess will make a permanent redirect. RedirectMatch 301 (.).html$ http://oursite.com$1.php Looking forward to suggestions/answers, thnx in advance.

  • What database options do I have for the Blackberry?

    I notice most of the discussions about Blackberry database options are old, and generally not too informative. As of today, March 31st, 2010, what is the best, most universally supported, free database option available for Blackberry developers? I heard SQLite is available for JDE v5, but last I checked, that was still in beta, and I didn't want to commit to developing on a system that is not supported by most of the phones in service. Thing is, I don't see any dates on these claims. For all I know, the announcements I am reading are from 2008. So, I am still on v 4.7. I need to use a relational DB for the app I am developing, but there aren't many resources for DB handling available - or at least resources that are useful to me. I find a lot of "tutorials" that assume you know everything there is to know about Blackberry development, or Java. But no complete classes or anything. Many of these examples don't even work. Eclipse gives warnings and errors from code copied and pasted from other people's examples. I can answer any questions that may assist in this case. Hopefully, this thread will help many BB developers in the future.

  • Why is this UL and inline JS giving errors during HTML validation?

    I've just run the homepage of a site I'm working on through the w3c HTML validator and it's come back with 3 errors and 2 warnings. I've taken a look at them but can't see why they would be causing a problem. I've pasted them in below (I've removed URL's/strings etc as the site isn't quite ready to be made public yet). This is being validated against XHTML Transitional by the way.   • Resources access problem from JAR

    I have the following directory structure of a project: Folder "project" in Eclipse: --folder "src" --folder "resources" ----trayicon2.png --folder "db" ----test.db --folder "bin" I'm accessing the image with: Image image = Toolkit.getDefaultToolkit().getImage("resources/trayicon2.png"); and from Eclipse that is not a problem. Then I generate an "executable jar file", and add the dirs, making a directory structure of: Folder "project" --folder "db" ----test.db --folder "resources" ----trayicon2.png --project.jar And now the image is no more accessible. Also, the database is no more accessible; while in Eclipse I used to access it with: Connection conn = DriverManager.getConnection("jdbc:sqlite:db/test.db"); How can I access the resources (images and db) after generating the jar file "project.jar"?

    I have a model class MyModel(models.Model): name = models.CharField(max_length=80, unique=True) parent = models.ForeignKey('self', null=True, blank=True) I want to render a ModelChoiceField for that model that looks like: <select name="mymodel" id="id_mymodel"> <option value="1" title="Value 1" class="">Value 1</option> <option value="2" title="Value 2" class="Value 1">Value 2</option> </select> The differences between this output and the default output for a ModelChoiceField are the title and class elements in the OPTION tag. They don't exist in ModelChoiceField's default output. For my purposes: The title element is supposed to be the Option Name. The class element is supposed to be self.parent.name. (this is my problem) So, in the HTML snippet above, Value 1 has no parent and Value 2 has a parent of Value 1. What is the best mechanism to change ModelChoiceField's default HTML output? EDIT: I understand how to create a new Widget for rendering HTML. The problem is how to render a value from the underlying model in each of the options.

    Yahoo Mail is sending our server's transactional emails to the Spam folder, even though we have taken quite a few anti-spam steps. By contrast, Gmail allows the messages through to the inbox just fine. Here are the things which are in place: SPF is set up for the domain holsteinplaza.com. Yahoo reports spf=pass in the message headers. DKIM is set up for the domain holsteinplaza.com. Yahoo reports dkim=pass in the message headers. We have a proper reverse DNS entry for the sending mail server. Name - IP matches IP - Name. Neither Domainkeys nor SenderID are set up. From what I can tell, DKIM is the way of the future, and there is not much to be gained from adding Domainkeys or SenderID. Following are the headers. Any ideas what more I should do to get Yahoo to stop flagging the emails as spam?     Why only one nautilus window manager is opens when clicking on the 'Files' icon on the unity bar? I need to open two or more HomeFolder windows by clicking on the 'files' icon on the unity pane. I cannot create more than one nautilus window manager unless i tap superkey(windows key) and type homefolder,videos etc or typing the same in gnome-do. Is there any way to open more than one folders(Home folder, videos etc..) by clicking the 'files' icon on the unity bar??

  • Confused as to how to validate spring mvc form, what are my options?

    Latest spring mvc, using freemarker. Hoping someone could tell me what my options are in terms of validating a form with spring mvc, and what the recommend way would be to do this. I have a form that doesn't map directly to a model, it has input fields that when posted, will be used to initialze 2 model objects which I will then need to validate, and if they pass I will save them. If they fail, I want to return back to the form, pre-fill the values with what the user entered and display the error messages. I have read here and there about 2 methods, once of which I have done and understand how it works: @RequestMapping(...., method = RequestMethod.POST) public ModelAndView myMethod(@Valid MyModel, BindingResult bindingResult) { ModelAndView mav = new ModelAndView("some/view"); mav.addObject("mymodel", myModel); if(bindingResult.hasErrors()) { return mav; } } Now this worked if my form mapped directly to the form, but in my situation I have: form fields that don't map to any specific model, they have a few properties from 2 models. before validation occurrs, I need to create the 2 models manually, set the values from the values from the form, and manually set some properties also: Call validate on both models (model1, model2), and append these error messages to the errors collection which I need to pass back to the same view page if things don't work. when the form posts, I have to do some database calls, and based on those results may need to add additional messages to the errors collection Can someone tell me how to do this sort of validation? Pseudo code below: Model1 model1 = new Model1(); Model2 model2 = new Model2(); // manually or somehow automatically set the posted form values to model1 and model2. // set some fields manually, not from posted form model1.setProperty10(GlobalSettings.getDefaultProperty10()); model2.setProperty11(GlobalSettings.getDefaultProperty11()); // db calls, if they fail, add to errors collection if(bindingResult.hasErrors()) { return mav; } // validation passed, save Model1Service.save(model1); Model2Service.save(model2); redirect to another view Update I have using the JSR 303 annotations on my models right now, and it would great if I can use those still.   • Delphi LoadLibrary Failing to find DLL other directory - any good options?

    Two Delphi programs need to load foo.dll, which contains some code that injects a client-auth certificate into a SOAP request. foo.dll resides in c:\fooapp\foo.dll and is normally loaded by c:\fooapp\foo.exe. That works fine. The other program needs the same functionality, but it resides in c:\program files\unwantedstepchild\sadapp.exe. Both aps load the DLL with this code: FOOLib := LoadLibrary('foo.dll'); ... If FOOLib <> 0 then begin FOOProc := GetProcAddress(FOOLib , 'xInjectCert'); FOOProc(myHttpRequest, Data, CertName); end; It works great for foo.exe, as the dll is right there. sadapp.exe fails to load the library, so FOOLib is 0, and the rest never gets called. The sadapp.exe program therefore silently fails to inject the cert, and when we test against production, it the cert is missing, do the connection fails. Obviously, we should have fully-qualified the path to the DLL. Without going into a lot of details, there were aspects of the testing that masked this problem until recently, and now it's basically too late to fix in code, as that would require a full regression test, and there isn't time for that. Since we've painted ourselves into a corner, I need to know if there are any options that I've overlooked. While we can't change the code (for this release), we CAN tweak the installer. I've found that placing c:\fooapp into the path works. As does adding a second copy of foo.dll directly into c:\program files\unwantedstepchild. c:\fooapp\foo.exe will always be running while sadapp.exe is running, so I was hoping that Windows would find it that way, but apparently not. Is there a way to tell Windows that I really want that same DLL? Maybe a manifest or something? This is the sort of "magic bullet" that I'm looking for. I know I can: Modify the windows path, probably in the installer. That's ugly. Add a second copy of the DLL, directly into the unwantedstepchild folder. Also ugly Delay the project while we code and test a proper fix. Unacceptable. Other? Thanks for any guidance, especially with "Other". I understand that this issue is not necessarily specific to Delphi. Thanks!

Models for hierarchical data: slides with good explanations of tradeoffs and example usage Representing hierarchies in MySQL: very good overview of Nested Set in particular Hierarchical data in RDBMSs: most comprehensive and well organized set of links I've seen, but not much in the way on explanation Options Ones I am aware of and general features: Adjacency List: Columns: ID, ParentID Easy to implement. Cheap node moves, inserts, and deletes. Expensive to find level (can store as a computed column), ancestry & descendants (Bridge Hierarchy combined with level column can solve), path (Lineage Column can solve). Use Common Table Expressions in those databases that support them to traverse. Nested Set (a.k.a Modified Preorder Tree Traversal) First described by Joe Celko - covered in depth in his book Trees and Hierarchies in SQL for Smarties Columns: Left, Right Cheap level, ancestry, descendants Compared to Adjacency List, moves, inserts, deletes more expensive. Requires a specific sort order (e.g. created). So sorting all descendants in a different order requires additional work. Nested Intervals Combination of Nested Sets and Materialized Path where left/right columns are floating point decimals instead of integers and encode the path information. Bridge Table (a.k.a. Closure Table: some good ideas about how to use triggers for maintaining this approach) Columns: ancestor, descendant Stands apart from table it describes. Can include some nodes in more than one hierarchy. Cheap ancestry and descendants (albeit not in what order) For complete knowledge of a hierarchy needs to be combined with another option. Flat Table A modification of the Adjacency List that adds a Level and Rank (e.g. ordering) column to each record.     Hello Again, I posted a question on here and got an answer within minutes I'm hoping the wizards on here can help me again. Okay so I'm using a script I found online to try and add this function to a shopping cart form. Here's the setup. I have a payment method dropdown with Visa, Mastercard and Bank Withdrawal as the options. For the credit cards I have one hidden div with a certain set of fields, and for the bank I have another hidden div.   • Setting up apache to view https pages

    I am trying to set up a site using vmware workstation, ubuntu 11.10, and apache2. The site works fine but now the https pages are not showing up. For example if I try to go to https://www.mysite.com/checkout I just see the message Not Found The requested URL /checkout/ was not found on this server. I dont really know what I am doing and have tried a lot of things to get the ssl certificates in there right. A few things I have in there, in my httpd.conf I just have : ServerName localhost In my ports.conf I have : NameVirtualHost *:80 Listen 80 <IfModule mod_ssl.c> # If you add NameVirtualHost *:443 here, you will also have to change # the VirtualHost statement in /etc/apache2/sites-available/default-ssl # to <VirtualHost *:443> # Server Name Indication for SSL named virtual hosts is currently not # supported by MSIE on Windows XP.     I cant seem to open a new view from an options menu item. The program keeps crashing as it applies the intent and listener to the item. I am just beginning, so please be nice.     We recently moved to a webfarm and setup dfs, only to find a beta application was creating files like there was no tomorrow. 1.2 million files were replicated across the farm, and since then we have prevented the application from creating new files, but every time we try to remove the files, it replaces them on each server because of replication. The process of replacing them actually causes to server to run slowly and in some cases stall. Is there any way we can stop replication at a folder level?

  • Microsoft Windows 64-bit application development best practises installation folder.

    My problem is that a vendor is providing me with a 64bit application (packed in a 64bit installer) but it goes and installs to the x86 (Program Files) Folder and he keeps telling me its OK but I want it to install in the Program Files directory; as the 32 bit version does that and scripts for the app are developed based on this assumption. Can someone direct me to the Microsoft recommended best practices for 64bit applications(links). Thanks in advance.
