  • How to generate sample XML documents from their DTD or XSD?

    We are developing an application that involves a substantial amount of XML transformations. We do not have any proper input test data per se, only DTD or XSD files. We'd like to generate our test data ourselves from these files. Is there an easy/free way to do that? Edit There are apparently no free tools for this, and I agree that OxygenXML is one of the best tools for this.

  • How to externalize web.xml servlet init-param? Spring DelegatingFilterProxy for Servlets?

    I have a 3rd-party servlet that I cannot modify. It accepts an init-param that I would like to externalize (from web.xml). I can externalize a servlet filter init-param using DelegatingFilterProxy. This effectively moves the servlet filter definition into Spring where there are much more powerful externalization tools (eg: PropertyPlaceholderConfigurer, environment variables, etc.) How can I do this for a servlet?

  • netsh wlan add profile not importing encrypted passphrase

    I exported a wireless network connection profile from a Windows 7 machine correctly connected to a WiFi network with a WPA-TKIP passphrase. The exported xml file shows the correct settings and a keyMaterial node which I can only guess is the encrypted passphrase. When I take the xml to another Windows 7 computer and import it using netsh wlan add profile filename="WiFi.xml", it correctly adds the profile's SSID and encryption type, but a balloon pops up saying that I need to enter the passphrase. Is there a way to import the passphrase along with all other settings or am I missing something about adding profiles? Thanks. Update: It seems if I export the settings using key=clear, the passphrase is stored in the file unprotected and I can import the file on another computer without issue. I've updated my question to reflect my findings.

It does however have the facility to: Run DOS commands and capture the output Run simple macros XML Note Pad 2007 is excellent if you need to data values from attributes or elements. Notepad++ has various add-ons available for it. - When you download it, be sure to run its internal update function. Needless to say, all three are better than Notepad!

    In my previous revision game engine I deported major functions for the game editor for C#. Now, I'm beginning to revise the game engine with a static library. There's a already dynamic library created in C++ to use DLLEXPORT for C#. Just now I want to test out the newer functions and created a DLL file from C++. Because the DLL contains classes I was wondering how would I be able to use DLL Export. Would I do this: [DLLEXPORT("GameEngine.dll", EntryPoint="SomeClass", Conventional=_stdcall)] static extern void functionFromClass(); I have a feeling it's probably DLLImport and not DLLExport. I was wondering how would I go about this? Another way I was thinking was because I already have the DLL in C++ prepared already to go the C# Class Library. I could just keep the new engine as a lib, and link the lib with the old DLL C++ file. Wouldn't the EntryPoint be able to point to the class the function is in?

    I'm thinking of writing a small text-based adventure game, but I'm not particularly sure how I should design the world from a technical standpoint. My first thought is to do it in XML, designed something like the following.     I've got a pretty substantial XLS file a client provided 830 total tabs/sheets. I've designed a multi table database with PHPMyAdmin (MySQL obviously) to house the information that's in there, and have populated about 5 of those sheets by hand to ensure the data will fit into the designed database. Is there a piece of software or some sort of tool that will help me format this XLS document and map it to the right places in the database?

  • JMonkey Engine (JME) load Blender scene with textures?

    I am having the hardest time trying to accomplish the simplest task. I have created a floor and 4 walls (not that complicated) in Blender. I added a basic material and cloud texture so they have something to look at other than gray. When I import them into JMonkey they show up as solid white objects with no shading or depth. White silhouettes. I thought this may be a lighting issue, but I have ambient light added to the scene. I can remove that light or adjust its intensity and it has no affect on the scene. I exported all Blender files into OgreXML format, then converted them to .j3o format in JMonkey. I renamed the textures to match their corresponding mesh and this didn't do anything. Does anybody know how to create a flat object and put it into JMonkey with a texture? This sounds simple and there is absolutely no information on this. This should be step 1!
