  • Need url's to be non secure when moving away from a secured link (without hardcoded url's in html)?

    I have an asp.net site. It has an order form which is accessible at https://secure.example.com/order.aspx. The links on the site do not include the domain name. So for example the home page is 'default.aspx'. The issue is that if I click on a link like the home page from the secure page, the url becomes https://secure.example.com/default.aspx instead of http://www.example.com/default.aspx. What's a good way to handle this? The scheme should automatically work using any domain name based on where it's launched from. So if the site is launched from 'localhost', moving away from the secured page, the url's should be http://localhost/... The navigation links are in a master page.

  • jQuery .load() call doesn't execute javascript in loaded html file

    This seems to be a problem related to Safari only. I've tried 4 on mac and 3 on windows and am still having no luck. What I'm trying to do is load an external html file and have the Javascript that is embedded execute. The code I'm trying to use is this: $("#myBtn").click(function() { $("#myDiv").load("trackingCode.html"); }); trackingCode.html looks like this (simple now, but will expand once/if I get this working): <html> <head> <title>Tracking HTML File</title> <script language="javascript" type="text/javascript"> alert("outside the jQuery ready"); $(function() { alert("inside the jQuery ready"); }); </script> </head> <body> </body> </html> I'm seeing both alert messages in IE (6 & 7) and Firefox (2 & 3). However, I am not able to see the messages in Safari (the last browser that I need to be concerned with - project requirements - please no flame wars). Any thoughts on why Safari is ignoring the Javascript in the trackingCode.html file? Eventually I'd like to be able to pass Javascript objects to this trackingCode.html file to be used within the jQuery ready call, but I'd like to make sure this is possible in all browsers before I go down that road. BUT i want to retrieve above values. @@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@ readOnly is an option but it changes the FONT COLOUR from gray to black, but i want gray colored text in readOnly textbox any help!!!! thanx !!!

  • Can i rename a file when the user does save as? HTML

    I use url rewriting and one of my urls is /blah/file ILLEGAL CHARS.jpg ILLEGAL CHARS are names not valid on windows such as * and may confuse servers even after escaping such as ? and /. I know i still cant save filenames as / and ? but certain characters i would like to let through. How can i give a new filename when the user right clicks and selects save as? i'm using asp.net

    How would I go about parsing incoming form data where the name changes based on section of site like: <input type="radio" name="Motorola section" value="Ask a question"> where 'Motorola section may be that, or Verizon section, or Blackberry section, etc. I do not have any control over changing the existing forms unfortunately, so must find a way to work with what is there. Basically, I need to be able to grab both the name="" data as well as its coresponding value="" data to be able to populate the email that gets sent properly.

    I am working on a html project, which will eventually package by Phonegap. So I am trying to encode the data from html form to JSON format, then use ajax send to a php file resides on server, and receive the response to do something else. Now I use <a href='login.html'> in my index.html to open the login page. However, when I use <script> function loadLogin(){ location.href='login.html'; } </script> to open the login page, everything works well. So what cause this? How can I modify this piece of code to make it better?

    Hi, I have a JS date that is being converted by Dojo into RFC822 format. The function call - dojo.date.toRfc3339(jsDate), generates the following date - 2007-02-26T20:15:00+02:00. I have an application that uses a Java date SimpleDateFormat to parse in the dates generated above. I am having problems parsing this date format due to the timezone. I have attempted to use yyyy-mm-DD'T'hh:mm:ssZ This fails as the 'Z' for timezone doesn't expect a ':' character. Does anyone know how I would specify a pattern to handle a RFC822 date with the ':'?     Alright, so here's my dilemma. I've got these two "slides" lined up, one ready to be passed into view. I have it working and all, but I can scroll over to the right to see the second slide! How could I have it you can only view the one slide? But. If you reload, you can see that you can scroll to the right of the screen and view the second slide prematurely, which is just not going to work for me. I still need to achieve the same seamless transition, but you must only be able to view one slide at a time. Also, I plan to expand with more slides, so if you're feeling lucky today, I'd really love to see an example of how I could support multiple frames. I'm very new to JavaScript (yet I know syntax rules, and general coding knowledge from other languages), so the better you explain, the more knowledgeable I can be, and I'd be very grateful for that. What I want is for it to be lined up like this: Name: [Textbox] Age: [Textbox] BlahBlahCatfish: [Textbox] Ordinarly I would use a Table but I am trying to get out of that habit and use lovely CSS. Ideas of how to do this without billions of divs and stuff?

    I'm new to parsing XML and am having an issue with entities. (Am doing this on Android, if it makes a difference). Is there a way to have it turn an entity into the character it represents? I have this in the child of an element: "isn&#39;t" (minus quotes). I would prefer it parse it and the end result be a single text node. However, right now this is turned in to TEXT, ENTITY, TEXT. Is there a way to automatically have it parse the entity into text, or a manual way to do it?
