  Hi All I have a custom module I made for Magento. From the admin, there is a multi-select list of store products. The selected products from this are output in the form of a comma separated list of SKU's - for example: // Get Featured Products from list $configData = Mage::getStoreConfig('featured_products'); $featuredlist = $configData['settings']['featuredlist']; This gives the output in the following format if I < ?php echo $featuredlist ?: cn,asc,ken,steve,nine,ecco,ana Is it possible to output a collection from a category in the same way, as a comma separated list of SKU's?   I have a recursive method that reversed a string (HW assignment, has to be recursive). I did it....but its only returning the value of the string after the first pass.   I'm looking for options that allow very high-level web site development with these special characteristics: not requiring the user to program in a complex programming language not requiring the user to use GUI-like administration areas allow the user to "program" in a lightweight markup language The last point is not only about look and structure of the output but also about creating simple dynamic output. For example: listing pages fetching the content of other pages doing a site search and displaying its output dynamically show or hide parts of the page depending on login status Of course, I am not expecting a solution that provides the same possibilities like a Ruby, Python or PHP web framework. Rather I am looking for support of the "basics" that are common for web sites.   I'm having trouble with the MyClass::function(); style of calling methods and can't figure out why. Here's an example (I'm using Kohana framework btw): class Test_Core { public $var1 = "lots of testing"; public function output() { $print_out = $this->var1; echo $print_out; } } I try to use the following to call it, but it returns $var1 as undefined: Test::output() However, this works fine: $test = new Test(); $test->output(); I generally use this style of calling objects as opposed to the "new Class" style, but I can't figure out why it doesn't want to work.

• Application compiled by Flex Builder 3 does not trace

  I've built a simple application in Flex Builder 3 with some trace() calls. It's an "ActionScript Project", no MXML or AIR involved. I don't run the app from within Eclipse, I just open the generated html file with Firefox. I'm using the Flash Player 10 Debug version. I've correctly set mm.cnf to log trace output, following the official instructions. A flashlog.txt file is generate in the appropriate location. Despite all that, trace output is not shown in the log file. What am I doing wrong? (I suspect it's a compiler option, but I can find no such option in the project options in FlexBuilder) (If I do run the app from Eclipse, by pressing F11, I can see trace output but only inside Eclipse, not in the log file)

• Substring and its reverse in a string

  My professor was talking about this in a Dynamic programming class and asked us to think over it. She gave us some examples as well. Given a string, we were to find the longest continuous subsequence whose reverse is also a subsequence present in the given string. Example: INPUT: pqrstuvtsrv OUTPUT: i=3, k=2 rst -> tsr (rst found first at i=3 and for 2 more positions) INPUT: mpqrsrqp OUTPUT: i=2, k=6 pqrsrqp in reverse INPUT: mmpqssss OUTPUT: i=5, k=3 I thought of putting the string and its reverse into 2 different arrays and comparing character by character. But I'm sure this is not the best way to do it. Any suggestions as to what could be the most efficient ?

  Hi there, I'm a (complete) php noob and need a little help with something. I'm working on a project whereby a user can select up to 6 categories via a form (I'm using ExpressionEngine). The output is like this: "Cat1","Cat2","Cat3" ...and so on. The user can select up to 6 categories on that form. What I need: even if my result is 3 categories I need to have 6 'cells' - for want of a better word - even if they're empty: "Cat1","Cat2","Cat3","","","" I've tried this: <?php $str = '(output goes here)'; print_r(explode(',', $str, 6)); ?> ...but the output give me: Array ( [0] => Cat1 [1] => Cat2 [2] => Cat3 [3] => [4] => [5] => ) How do I get from that to this: "Cat1","Cat2","Cat3","","","" Does this make sense? • Help with linq to sql compiled query

  Hi I am trying to use compiled query for one of my linq to sql queries. This query contains 5 to 6 joins. I was able to create the compiled query but the issue I am facing is my query needs to check if the key is within a collection of keys passed as input. But compiled queries do not allow passing of collection (since collection can have varying number of items hence not allowed). For instance input to the function is a collection of keys. Say: List<Guid> InputKeys List<SomeClass> output = null; var compiledQuery = CompiledQueries.Compile<DataContext, IQueryable<SomeClass>>( (context) => from a in context.GetTable<A>() where InputKeys.Contains(a.Key) select a); using(var dataContext = new DataContext()) { output = compiledQuery(dataContext).ToList(); } return output; Is there any work around or better way to do the above?

For example, let's say I have the output of an awk statement with the following contents red green blue In this scenario, the output can change at any time. I'm trying to then execute different logic if a value is included in this awk output.   I'm trying to pull the field names in the header of some JSON output. The following is a sample of the JSON header info: {"HEADER":{"company":{"label":"Company Name"},"streetaddress":{"label":"Street Address"},"ceo":{"label":"CEO Name","fields":{"firstname":{"label":"First Name"},"lastname":{"label":"Last Name"}}} I'm able to loop through the header and output the field and label (i.e. company and Company Name) using the following code: obj = JSON.parse(jsonResponse); for (var key in obj.HEADER) { response.write ( obj.HEADER[key].label ); response.write ( key ); } but can't figure out how to loop through and output the sub array of fields (i.e. firstname and First Name). Any ideas?

• Where do you include FirePHP in Wordpress?

  I'm using require_once() in header.php to include the FirePHP library. In the page.php I'm doing the usual... $firephp = FirePHP::getInstance(true); $firephp->log($categories); Getting these errors.. 'Headers already sent....' and Cannot send log data to FirePHP. You must have Output Buffering enabled via ob_start() or output_buffering ini directive... I figured the using require_once in the template's header.php (above all HTML output) would be safe (pre header output). Guess this is not the case. Anyone have experience with this? (P.S. I tried the WP FirePHP plugin, wasn't working right)

  I am trying to parse this xml document in which a newline is required for certain fields and must be inserted into the database with the newline. But I've been running into problems. 1)First Problem: \n Character The first problem I had was using the \n like below. <javascript>jquery_ui.js\nshadowbox_modal.js\nuser_profile.js\ntablesorter.js</javascript> The problem was in the database the field came out ot be jquery_ui.js\nshadowbox_modal.js\n... and when output into html it was jquery_ui.jsnshadowbox_modal.jsn............... 2) Then I tried actually having newlines in the xml <javascript>jquery_ui.js shadowbox_modal.js user_profile.js tablesorter.js</javascript> The problem was the output become %20%20%20%20%20%20%20%20%20%20shadowbox_modal.js, and so forth. So how can I get a newline to hold from xml when entered into a database and then output with the newline still?

• Converting app to MVC and running it in both console and gui

  I have a simple java gui calculator, with 3 number systems (there are some bugs but that doesn't matter now). Currently all code is in one file. My task is to rewrite it as MVC, and add possibility to run it in either gui or console mode. How should I divide this program to organise it as M-V-C ? Is it written properly enough to add console functionality to it? (guess I'll have to change all methods invoking to JLabel Output to something simply storing an output String as a model argument and then having View to get it).   I have the following script that I run as a custom build step in Qt Creator: git ls-files . | egrep "\.cpp$|\.h$" | xargs vera++ Which then gives output: foo/bar.cpp:1: no copyright notice found Another script I also use is: cppcheck . --template gcc -q --enable=style,unusedFunctions With the output: apple.h:8: style: The class 'MyPie' has no constructor. Member variables not initialized. I would love to double-click on the error and go to the source in the Compile Output window. It seems that only gcc errors are detected and these custom ones are ignored even though they have the same format.

• Deployment project not updating .exe

  I have a Winforms project with a single .exe file as the primary output. I'm using a deployment project to distribute it, but the .exe file is not being updated when the new version is installed, meaning I have to ask the users to manually uninstall and then install the new version. Here's what I'm doing: I increment the assembly version on the output project (which is the primary output of the deployment project) I increment the deployment project version (and update the product code when prompted) The deployment project is set to remove previous versions the 'Permanent' property on the .exe is set to False I'm sure I've done this before successfully, but I can't seem to do it now. What am I doing wrong? Edit: I got it to work by changing the file version in the project properties, as in this answer

  i plan to use neurodotnet for my phd thesis, but before that i just want to build some small solutions to get used to the dll structure. the first problem that i want to model using backward propagation is height-weight ratio. I have some height and weight data, i want to train my NN so that if i put in some weight then i should get correct height as a output. i have 1 input 1 hidden and 1 output layer. Now here is first of many things i cant get around :) 1. my height data is in form of 1.422, 1.5422 ... etc and the corresponding weight data is 90 95, but the NN takes the input as 0/1 or -1/1 and given the output in the same range. how to address this problem

  In Microsoft TTS 5.1 or newer. The SpVoice.AudioOutputStream property says: The AudioOutputStream property gets and sets the current audio stream object used by the voice. Setting the voice's AudioOutputStream property may cause its audio output format to be automatically changed to match the text-to-speech (TTS) engine's preferred audio output format. If the voice's AllowAudioOutputFormatChangesOnNextSet property is True, the format change takes place; if False, the format remains unchanged. In order to set the AudioOutputStream property of a voice to a specific format, its AllowOutputFormatChangesOnNextSet should be False. It means a engine's always has a preferred audio output format. So, how can i get it.. i have not found any interface to get that attribute.
