  • IE6 Hacks: Getting jQuery tools expose to work properly on my site

    Hi, I am trying to get the jQuery tools 'expose' function to work properly in IE6. The page is http://204.51.246.10:12123/ You will need IE6 to reproduce the bug (obviously :)). If you click 'Sign In' on the top-right corner (below the 'Join Today!' button), you will notice that the sign in panel (fieldset#login-controls) is getting covered by the background of its parent element (.signinPanel), which is very weird. It is not on the top of z-index, and I can't figure out why. Please note that in order to get fieldset#login-controls positioned correctly, I have applied the following hack for IE6: $("#header, #header div, #header table, #header td, #header tr").css("position", "static"); $("fieldset#login-controls *").css("position", "static"); This might be the reason for the above.   • Getting overflow-y:scroll to work with fixed positioning html & css

    I have a Jquery tools scrollable thats set to be fixed to the bottom of the browser window. Ideally i would just like to get a overflow-y:scroll; working for the page as a whole when the browser is < 700px. (so no content gets hidden, as its all fixed place). This feels like it should be simple but its causing me huge headaches. js solutions are fine at this point.     I found a function online for turning a url within a string into a clickable link.   • Defaultifempty seems to work in linq to entities

    I'm new to linq and linq to entities so I might have gone wrong in my assumptions, but I've been unknowingly trying to use DefaultIfEmpty in L2E. For some reason if I turn the resultset into a List, the Defaultifempty() works I don't know if I've inadvertantly crossed over into Linq area. The code below works, can anyone tell me why?     Hi, I found this great Tablesorter plugin for jQuery but I can't make it work with my PHP generated table. Here's the code: <script type="text/javascript"> function table() { $("#container").load("table.php?randval="+Math.random()); } $(document).ready(function() { table(); $("table").tablesorter(); }); </script> Where #container is the div where the table will be and table is the name of the table. I get the table loaded but sorting function is not working. It works if I put the table directly in html in the page.. but I don't see the point in having a static table for sorting. Any help would be very appreciated.

  • Labeling connections using Oracle Universal Connection Pool (UCP) doesn't seem to work

    I'm evaluating the Oracle Universal Connection Pool (UCP) included with their 11.2 JDBC driver, but cannot get the labeling functionality to work properly (which I'd like to use to minimize the amount of ALTER SESSION statements). I'm basically following their sample code to implement the ConnectionLabelingCallback interface. The callback method cost(Properties reqLabels, Properties currentLabels) is called as expected, so the callback seems to be configured correctly. However, the other callback method configure(Properties reqLabels, Object conn) is passed arguments that make it impossible to provide a meaningful implementation: reqLabels is always null, so the callback method has no way of knowing what labels need to be set. conn is of type oracle.jdbc.driver.T4CConnection, which cannot be cast to LabelableConnection, so the callback method has no way of inspecting or manipulating the labels attached to the connection. My code is running on Java 6 and using ojdbc6.jar and ucp.jar version 11.2.0.1.0. The database is actually 10.2, but that should not be a problem according to the docs, since the UCP functionality is completely implemented in the JDBC driver. Thanks in advance!

  • Load nsimage from url but only some url's work

    I have some code that loads an image file off the web and puts it in an image view. The problem is it works with everything but Google Charts. This is frustrating because I was relying on this to graph data for my app. Heres the url I need to load: Click to see my test chart. Im not sure why NSImage seems to refuse to load this when it works with everything elese. If you know why or have a work-around any help is appreciated.   • C# Drag drop does not work on windows 7

    I have had a project for quite a while using C# winforms. I implemented a drag-drop function before windows 7 was release. Worked like a charm. However, when using windows 7 it does not work. The event doesn't even get triggered. AllowDrop is set to true. When subscribing to DragEnter it does not get called in windows 7 (not sure about vista). But on XP it works all the way. The program is run with administritave priviliges. Is there any difference in the drag drop in windows 7 vs xp? Don't know if it's relevant, but I'm using x64

    Hi, I am new to Zend Frame Work. I am using $ajaxContext = $this-_helper-getHelper('AjaxContext'); for adding action contexts. I have one Index.phtml page and all other views are ajax.phtml pages. I have to do some java script methods in the ajax.phtml pages. But i didn't find a way to refer the js files in the ajax.phtml pages. I have tried adding those in the controller init and index action, using $this-view-headScript()-appendFile, though i have the reference added in the page source, none of htese seems to be working on the ajax content. Then i tried to add it in the action for the ajax page, then it is not coming in the page source itself. As far as i understood, $this-view-headScript()-appendFile will append the file reference to the layout page and for the ajax.phtml pages, the layout will be disabled. Is there any way that i can refer my js files in the ajax.phtml pages?

At the moment I have a form with a number of text boxs which would lend themselves well to an autocomplete ability.     This query gives an error: select ep, case when ob is null and b2b_ob is null then 'a' when ob is not null or b2b_ob is not null then 'b' else null end as type, sum(b2b_d + b2b_t - b2b_i) as sales from table where ... group by ep, type Error: ORA-00904: "TYPE": invalid identifier When I run it with group by ep, the error message becomes: ORA-00979: not a GROUP BY expression The whole query works OK if I remove the lines sum(b2b_d+b2b_t-b2b_i) as sales and group by ..., so the problem should be related to SUM and GROUP BY functions. How can I make this work? Thanks in advance for your help.

    Hi .. i have a problem using the "Catch Clipboard Events code" found on this link : http://stackoverflow.com/questions/621577/clipboard-event-c/2487582#2487582 the code works great only if the form stays in the foreground, not minimized to tray BUT: if you add a notifyicon and minimize the form to tray and turn the showintaskbar to false (so that you only have an icon in the tray), the program wont catch any clipboard changes anymore ... even if you maximize the form back, it wont work again ...you have to restart the program .. any idea on how to solve this issue !? how can i catch clipboard changes, even if the form is minimized into the tray !? any help is really appreciated ...   • Weak linking on iPhone refuses to work

    I've got an iPhone app that's mainly targetting 3.0, but which takes advantage of newer APIs when they're available. Code goes something like this: if (UIApplicationDidEnterBackgroundNotification != NULL) [nc addObserver: self selector: @selector(irrelelvantCallbackName:) name: UIApplicationDidEnterBackgroundNotification object: nil]; Now, according to everything Apple's ever said, if the relevant APIs are weakly linked, that will work fine because the dynamic linker will evaluate UIApplicationDidEnterBackgroundNotification to NULL. Except that it doesn't. The application compiles, but as soon as it hits "if (UIApplicationDidEnterBackgroundNotification != NULL)" it crashes with EXC_BAD_ACCESS. Is this simply a matter of a compiler flag I need to set? Or am I going about this the wrong way?

My understanding was that delegates take responsibility for doing certain tasks on behalf of another object. locationManager = [[CLLocationManager alloc] init]; [locationManager setDelegate:self]; [locationManager setDistanceFilter:kCLDistanceFilterNone]; [locationManager setDesiredAccuracy:kCLLocationAccuracyBest]; [locationManager startUpdatingLocation]; Am I right in thinking that in the example code above that the instance of CLLocationManager is created on a new thread so that it can get on with trying to find the location information it needs. When it completes its task (or encounters an error) it calls-back using the appropriate methods located in self e.g. locationManager:didUpdateToLocation:fromLocation: Essentially locationManager sends messages to self (which conforms to the correct delegate protocol) when things happen cheers gary

I've created a ATL Dialag and whenever I try to add a variable for a control the wizard thorws the message "Object required". I've tried the following alternatives: Right click in the control to call "Add variable" from there: this way the wizard does not thorws the message but the variable is not created. This post, but it is for VS2005. Does anyone knows any work-around-around for this problem? Or what the wizard actually does so I can do it manually?
