  • How to Create the Upload File for Application Loader?

    When I use Application Loader, I get to the point where it asks me to "Choose..." the file to be uploaded. If I understand correctly, it supposes to be the appName.app file I see under "Products" on my app bundle (I right click it and select "Show in Finder" to get to the specific file in library; then I'm supposed to ZIP it and the ZIP file is what I will choose in Application Loader). First, am I correct with this assumption? if yes... What should I define different in XCode than the way I used to build the application for testing (on simulator and on my personal iPhone)? Should I change the Info---Command-line build use from Debug to Release? How should I define the Build Settings---Code Signing section (in which field should I select the "iPhone Developer" option and in which should it be "iPhone Distribution")? Are there any other important Info/Build Settings/p.list/etc... fields I should relate to? any help will be appreciated...

  • PHP sleep accuracy

    Hello all, I use the following code to see how long a user is on a particular page. I use a hidden image with a src attribute to this script: $timer_seconds = 1; while(!connection_aborted()) { echo "\n"; flush(); sleep(1); $timer_seconds++; } I sometimes find this can be off by 5-10 seconds! I am guessing its the load of the server that effects the timing?? Is there anyway I can make this accurate? Thanks all for any help.

  • Where should the line between property and method be?

    For many situations it is obvious whether something should be a property or a method however there are items that might be considered ambiguous. Obvious Properties: "name" "length" Obvious Methods: "SendMessage" "Print" Ambiguous: "Valid" / "IsValid" / "Validate" "InBounds" / "IsInBounds" / "CheckBounds" "AverageChildValue" / "CalcAverageChildValue" "ColorSaturation" / "SetColorSaturation" I suppose I would lean towards methods for the ambiguous, but does anyone know of a rule or convention that helps decide this? E.g. should all properties be O(1)? Should a property not be able to change other data (ColorSaturation might change R,G,B values)? Should it not be a property if there is calculation or aggregation? Just from an academic perspective, (and not because I think it's a good idea) is there a reason not to go crazy with properties and just make everything that is an interrogation of the class without taking an argument, and everything that can be changed about the class with a single argument and cant fail, a property?

  • How to convert dates to numbers in Matlab

    I have some variables like these: a(1)=00:26:00 a(2)=744:32:00 a(3)=8040:33:00 I want to convert them to numbers, so I use the datenum command. The biggest number should be 8040:33:00, but look what happens. datenum(a([1 2 3])) ans = 1.0e+005 * 7.3487 7.3485 7.3486 But if I don´t calculate a(1): datenum(a([2 3],51)) ans = 1.0e+005 * 7.3490 7.3520 That´s the results that I want to get. I think that the problem is that a(2) and a(3) have more than 24hours but I haven´t found any way to solve this problem. Thanks.

    Hi guys, i have the following code below: const char* timeformat = "%Y-%m-%d %H:%M:%S"; const int timelength = 20; char timecstring[timelength]; strftime(timecstring, timelength, timeformat, currentstruct); cout << "timecstring is: " << timecstring << "\n"; currentstruct is a tm*. The cout is giving me the date in the correct format, but the year is not 2010, but 3910. I know there is something to do with the year cound starting at 1900, but im not sure how to get strftime to recognise this and not add 1900 to the value of 2010 that is there, can anyone help.   • What is the absolute fastest way to implement a concurrent queue with ONLY one consumer and one producer?

    java.util.concurrent.ConcurrentLinkedQueue comes to mind, but is it really optimum for this two-thread scenario? I am looking for the minimum latency possible on both sides (producer and consumer). If the queue is empty you can immediately return null AND if the queue is full you can immediately discard the entry you are offering. Does ConcurrentLinkedQueue use super fast and light locks (AtomicBoolean) ? Has anyone benchmarked ConcurrentLinkedQueue or knows about the ultimate fastest way of doing that? Additional Details: I imagine the queue should be a fair one, meaning the consumer should not make the consumer wait any longer than it needs (by front-running it) and vice-versa.

I tried to use <meta http-equiv="refresh" content="120;url=./login.html"> tag. This works only when I click on any link but not automatically after 2 mins(120secs).     When I try to put a value into a DATE field which is invalid, MySQL seems to use 0000-00-00 instead. Is there a way I can do this "check" without updating a DATE field? And to do it from for example PHP? Like, is there a way I can query the MySQL server and ask "Hey, is this DATE, TIME or DATETIME valid to you?" Or is there maybe an even better way of doing it?

    Can someone explain this behaviour? test.c: #include <stdio.h> int main(void) { printf("%d, %d\n", (int) (300.6000/0.05000), (int) (300.65000/0.05000)); printf("%f, %f\n", (300.6000/0.05000), (300.65000/0.05000)); return 0; } $ gcc test.c $ ./a.out 6012, 6012 6012.000000, 6013.000000 I checked the assembly code and it puts both the arguments of the first printf as 6012, so it seems to be a compile time bug.

    On my wordpress site I have tweet blender plugin to show twitter tweets. Everything is ok except for some resason it takes a long time to show the tweets on my site. When tweet it takes anything between 15-70 minutes to show on my site. Any idea why is that? Everything should setted right.
