• How to determine MIME Type set by htaccess in PHP

  I have a .htaccess file set up to define specific MIME types in directory root/a/b/, and all of the files are in the same directory. I have a php file that wants to serve those files, in directory root/c/, and needs to determine the content-type as defined by the .htaccess file. Is there any way to do this? PHP version is 5.1.6. mime_content_type returns text/plain, and I'd rather not try to parse the .htaccess file manually. I can move the file if necessary.

  I have a SQL 2008 table with a field called RecDate of type DateTimeOffset. For a given record the value is '2010-04-01 17:19:23.62 -05:00' In C# I create a DataTable and fill it with the results of "SELECT RecDate FROM MyTable". I need to get the milliseconds, but if I do the following the milliseconds are always 0: DateTimeOffset dto = DateTimeOffset.Parse(dt.Rows[0][0].ToString()); What is the proper way to get the value in the RecDate column into the dto variable? • Would it be simply better to use the system's functions rather than use the language?

  There are many scenarios where I've questioned PHP's performance with some of its functions, and whether I should build a complex class to handle specific things using its seemingly slow tools. For example, Complex regular expressions with sed and processing with awk would seemingly be exponential in performance rather than making PHP's regular expression and seemingly excessive functions parse and in time manage to finish it. If I were to do a lot of network tasks such as MX lookups/DIGging/retrieving simultaneously I would rather pass it via system() and let the OS handle it itself. There are simply too many functions in PHP, that are inefficient and result in slow pages or can be handled easier by the OS. What are your opinions? Do you think I should do the hard work with the OS in its own/custom functions?

  Hi, I am trying to parse a valid xaml file using the XamlXmlReader. It looks like it is 'skipping' some elements when when Read() is called. for example on the following xaml snippet: <UserControl.Resources> <Converters:AnyDbTypeToDisplayNameConverter x:Key="anyDbTypeToDisplayNameConverter" /> </UserControl.Resources> when reading I first get a XamlNodeType.StartObject on UserControl.Resources - makes sense then another XamlNodeType.StartObject on Converters - also cool. but then i do not get a XamlNodeType.EndObject on the Converters and immediately jump to the next line and does not report a XamlNodeType.StartObject. Any Idea if this is working as design ? looks like a bug to me

  I would like to create a page where all images which reside on my website are listed with title and alternative representation. I already wrote me a little program to find and load all html files, but now I am stuck at how to extract src, title and alt from the html < img src="/image/fluffybunny.jpg" title="Harvey the bunny" alt="a cute little fluffy bunny"/ I guess this should be done with some regex, but since the order of the tags may vary, and I need all of them, I don't really know how to parse this in an elegant way (I could do it the hard char by char way, but thats painful).

  I've been using C++ for quite a long time now but nevertheless I tend to fall back on scanf when I have to parse simple text files.   I have a string called 'raw'. I am trying to parse it in ruby in the following way: raw = "HbA1C ranging 8.0—10.0%" raw.scan /\d*.?\d+[ ](-+|\342\200\224)[ ]\d*.?\d+/ The output from the above is []. I think it should be: ["8.0—10.0"]. Does anyone have any insight into what is wrong with the above regex statement? Note: \342\200\224 is equal to '—'. The piece that is not working is: (-+|\342\200\224) I think it should be equivalent to saying, match on 1 or more '-' OR match on the string \342\200\224. Any help would be greatly appreciated it!

• CF - DataGrid onClick event (or similar) for the cell / row ?

  I want to use DataGrid. I parse the data from an XML. In the XML for each row i have a tag that holds a specific command. I want that the user can click on any cell of the row (or a specific one), and i need to catch the click event execute the command and redirect to another form... I can do this with custom control made of panels and buttons and such ... but can u use DataGrid to achieve this? Also i tested Datagrid and i noticed that on some emulators (like 6.5 VGA) clicking the cells dont work. I can click the first cell in a row, but i cannot click the second... third... etc. Any suggestions?

• Setting many key/value pairs

  Hi, I'm working on a rake task which imports from a JSON feed into an ActiveRecord called Person. Person has quite a few attributes and rather than write lines of code for setting each attribute I'm trying different methods. The closest I've got is shown below. This works nicely as far as outputing to screen but when I check the values have actually been set on the ActiveRecord itself it's always nil. So it looks like I can't use .to_sym to solve my problem? Any suggestions? I should also mention that I'm just starting out with Ruby, have been doing quite a bit of Objective-c and now need to embrace the Interwebs :) http = Net::HTTP.new(url.host, url.port) http.read_timeout = 30 json = http.get(url.to_s).body parsed = JSON.parse(json) if parsed.has_key?   OKay I am at loss how to name this question. I have some HTML files, probably written by lord Lucifier himself, that I need to parse. It consists of many segments like this, among other html tags <p>HeadingNumber</p> <p style="text-indent:number;margin-top:neg_num ">Heading Text</p> <p>Body</p> Notice that the heading number and text are in seperate p tags, aligned in a horizontal line by css. the css may be whatever Lucifier fancies, a mixture of indents, paddings, margins and positions. However that line is a single object in my business model and should be kept as such. So How do I detect whether two p elements are visually in a single line and process them accordingly. I believe the HTML files are well formed if it helps.

• Asking for input without stopping the script in python.

  I am (trying) to make a simple IRC client in python (as kind of a project while I learn the language). I have a loop that I use to receive and parse what the IRC server sends me, but if I use raw_input to input stuff, it stops the loop dead in its tracks until I input something (obviously). How can I input something without the loop stopping? Thanks in advance. (I don´t think I need to post the code, I just want to input something without the while 1 loop stopping.)

• Java BufferedReader behavior in CSV vs TXT file

  If i try to read a CSV file called csv_file.csv. The problem is that when i read lines with BufferedReader.readLine() it skips the first line with months. But when i rename the file to csv_file.txt it reads it allright and it's not skipping the first line. Is there an undocumented "feature" of BufferedReader that i'm not aware? • Java - Unknown characters passing as [a-zA-z0-9]*?

  Hello, I'm no expert in regex but I need to parse some input I have no control over, and make sure I filter away any strings that don't have A-z and/or 0-9. When I run this, Pattern p = Pattern.compile("^[a-zA-Z0-9]*$"); //fixed typo if(!p.matcher(gottenData).matches()) System.out.println(someData); //someData contains gottenData certain spaces + an unknown symbol somehow slip through the filter (gottenData is the red rectangle): In case you're wondering, it DOES also display Text, it's not all like that. For now, I don't mind the [?] as long as it also contains some string along with it. Please help. [EDIT] as far as I can tell from the (very large) input, the [?]'s are either white spaces either nothing at all; maybe there's some sort of encoding issue, also perhaps something to do with #text nodes (input is xml)

  I'm adopting Castle Windsor for my WCF project and feel really amazed about this. However, I'm having a scenario that I don't really know if Castle Windsor supports. For example I have the following chained Interceptors Interceptor 1 > Interceptor 2 > Interceptor 3 > Interceptor 4 > Real method Interceptor 1 returns some data and I want that to be available in Interceptor 2 Interceptor 2 in turn does it work and returns the data that I want to make avaialbe in the 3,4, interceptor. The real case scenario is that we're having a WCF service, Interceptor 1 will parse the request header into a Header object(username, password, etc.). The latter interceptors and real method will ultilize this Header object. I know that I can use Session variable to transport data, but is it a built-in, more elegant, more reliable way to handle this?

If so, what would the code for that look like if I used an EditText view to allow user input? If not, then is my only other option directly linking to my app in the Market (i.e. the user clicks the link in my app, or a button, and the Market app launches with my app page displayed)? • Comparing two xml files

  I have two large xml files. Almost 1.4 mb each. I want to compare them and see the differing part. I am using linux. Is there any free tool which can do this for me ? Or any other technique ? I used "diff" command in linux and tried to output the result in another file. (diff file1.xml file2.xml result.xml) But the resulted file showed "Could not parse the xml". However it showed something on screen. I would like the differ part to be stored somewhere if possible. (or atleast I should be able to see it properly) Thanks Ragini
