  • Making text align equally in both IE and Chrome

By adding a &nbsp; after the text within the <h2>in IE, the text will automatically move up, which is consistent with Chrome. But I don't quite like this hack, so I would like to know if anybody knows what problem this is and recommends a better way to fix it if possible. Many thanks to you all. Note: this problem does not appear if the text is english only.

  • JQuery Cycle Plugin hover when paused issue, activeSlide

    Almost all is dialed in except then I click the pause/play button, the current activeSlide div doesn't fade in on rollover like the other slides do. Bit at a loss to figure out why it's not allowing hover even though it works when the cycle is not manually paused (i.e. when just rolling over the pager numbers).     The ContainsText method finds the text only in specific area in the html but fails to find id in other parts of the page. The text that located under 'div id="content"' can be found But the text in other area of the html is not found (f.e 'form id="aspnetForm"') Browser b = new FireFox("http://localhost:8668/login.aspx"); b.Button("login.login.button")).Click(); bool blah = b.ContainsText("Hello"); I'm using the latest watin release. The issue is reproduced with FF3.0, FF3.5 and FF3.6 In IE it's working fine for the tested text.

  • Can't find a Wordpress image/photo gallery plugin

    I've been looking at Wordpress plugins for photo galleries (so maybe this is for superuser.com), and I've been very frustrated so far. It seems like what I'd like to do would be a very common use case: Admin: Be able to upload multiple pictures (at a time) Admin: Be able to assign a "gallery" to those pictures as I upload them User: Be able to go to a page with a (paged) list of all galleries User: Be able to click on gallery and view the images (again, probably paged) in that gallery User: Be able to click on an image to get larger/largest sizes User: Be able to leave comments on individual pictures (this is a "nice to have") The images/galleries could be totally independent of posts/pages, but it would be nice to be able to embed those images/galleries into posts/pages when necessary. Is there anything out there like this that I'm missing? I've tried a handful of plugins and none of them seem to be for a use case anywhere close to what I'm looking for. One of the reasons I'm trying to use Wordpress is to reduce time spent coding everything I want.

    I'm writing a jQuery plug-in so I can reuse this code in many places as it is a very well used piece of code, the code itself adds a new line to a table which has been cloned from a hidden row, it continues to perform a load of manipulations on the new row. I'm currently referencing it like this: $(".abc .grid").grid(); But I want to include a callback so each area the plug-in is called from can do something a bit more unique when the row has been added. I've used the jQuery AJAX plug-in before, so have used the success callback function, but cannot understand how the code works in the background.   • Can I fire a Text Changed Event for an asp.net Text Box before it loses focus?

    I have an asp.net TextBox in which I want to check if the text entered into the TextBox is > 0. It works once I tab out or click out of the TextBox, but if I keep focus on the TextBox, it won't fire the Text Changed Event, so I have the following scenario, I want to enable something if and only if the TextBox.Text.Length = 0. Now, if I put my caret in the TextBox and delete all the characters and then leave the caret in the TextBox so it still has focus and take my mouse and click a button, it will not do what it was supposed to do because it never fired the Text Changed Event. How would something like this be handled?

    Is there a way to detect when a specific device is plugged into a usb port, what I would like to happen is when I plug my laptop into my docking station it run up several apps to account for my different keyboard, mouse and monitors. Specifically I have an issue with some software for my G15 keyboard stopping media player closing properly. Hopefully in .NET but if not any suggestions appreciated.

    Using the following XPath derived rule, I am able to select a list of events from a Plone site (similar to Plone Community events) and display them in my Deliverance themed site: <replace content="//*[@id='parent-fieldname-title' or @class='explain' or @id='parent-fieldname-location' or @id='parent-fieldname-text']" theme="#center-content-to-replace-one" /> However, two separate, but related, problems now rear their heads. I can't work out how to: Re-order elements within the replaced theme, such as moving images originally held within #parent-fieldname-text to before #parent-fieldname-title Put arbitrary text before elements. Such as 'Page Title:' before #parent-fieldname-title I could do both if I was just dealing with one record, as place holders(1) or text before place holders(2) could be specified in the template - but I can't see a away for that template behaviour to repeat across multiple items in one page. (if that is indeed the solution) Is this a job for pyQuery?

  • How do I send text to a UITextView?

    I'm new to iphone development. I'm a VB programmer who is trying to convert a VB application to an ipad app. I need some help with sending text to a UITextView. I want to first have a UIPickerView and then once the user hits a UIButton, a UITextView appears and the text is then generated by my source code code, line by line. The code would constantly be concatenating strings to the text. It would sort of go like this-- 1) User makes selections with UIPickerView. 2) User then hits UIButton. 3) UIPickerView is replaced on the screen with a UITextView. 4) The code does stuff. 5) The code adds the 1st line of text into the UITextView. 6) The code does more stuff. 7) The code then adds the 2nd line of text into the UITextView, retaining the 1st line that was already there. Steps 6 and 7 are repeated until the code is done. Does anyone know of any examples of this that I could look at? I am mostly interested in finding something like a youtube video, a webpage that explains the code or even a good book that covers this particular topic. I am finding that the sample codes that Apple has on this site goes over my head. In fact, I could probably benefit from a good book. But, I am looking for one that I would already know covers this particular topic, since it is so essential to the app that I am trying to build.

  • Issue with button text shifting

    I'm having this odd issue. I have these buttons where the button's text is shifted downward upon certain actions. For example, I have a spinner with choices and one of the choices makes some buttons invisible while others are made visible. When I choose these, the buttons made visible all have their text shifted downward. Nothing else is shifted, just the text on the buttons. I've tried this on 1.5 and it works fine, no text is shifted, but I have issues with 2.1 and I really cannot figure it out. Any ideas or help would be great. Thanks.
