• Problem setting up DL360G5 with scsi RAID

  I have a problem with reinstalling OS on a DL360G5. The BIOS [F9] do not detect any disc controllers and the HP SmartSetup did not find any compatible controllers. Inside the server, the two SCSI disks are conncted to a RAID controller using BCM8603 chipset. How is disc contoller supposed to be setup? I have tried to do a full BIOS reset. EDIT At the moment we suspect that the Smart Array controller E200i/412205-001 is broken. Are there any status LED's that indicate failure or success during start up? At the moment all LED's are off.

• BugZilla XML RPC Interface

  I am attempting to setup BugZilla to receive but reports from another system using the XML-RPC interface. BugZilla works fine on its own with its own interface. When I attempt to test the XML-RPC functionality by accessing "xmlrpc.cgi" in my browser I get the error: The XML-RPC Interface feature is not available in this Bugzilla at C:\BugZilla\xmlrpc.cgi line 27 main::BEGIN(...) called at C:\BugZilla\xmlrpc.cgi line 29 eval {...} called at C:\BugZilla\xmlrpc.cgi line 29 Following this I install test-taint package from the default perl repository, this installs version 1.04. Re-running "xmlrpc.cgi" gives me an IIS error: 502 - Web server received an invalid response while acting as a gateway or proxy server. There is a problem with the page you are looking for, and it cannot be displayed. When the Web server (while acting as a gateway or proxy) contacted the upstream content server, it received an invalid response from the content server. So I run the checksetup.pl which inform me that: Use of uninitialized value in open at C:/Perl/site/lib/Test/Taint.pm line 334, <DATA> line 558. Installing Test-Taint from CPAN is the same. I assume XML-RPC is relent on Test-Taint, but Test-Taint doesn't seem to run correctly. If I ignore this error and attempt to invoke "bz_webservice_demo.pl" to add an entry the script times out. How can I get the XML-RPC / Test-Taint function working ?   I have Gembird cam68ut. On my Ubuntu 12.10 it shows black screen in cheese and guvcview. I tested it in win7, it works fine. Can I create a symlink? I can't flash this embedded device since it is deployed somewhere, only ssh? Please advise!

  I have hundreds of JPG files in a folder. I want to rename each file so that the file name is replaced with "Modified Date/Time" of that file, namely DD.MM.RRRR.HH.MM.jpg. For example, Before After 001.jpg 11.01.2011.16.58.jpg 002.jpg 12.01.2011.09.32.jpg 003.jpg 14.01.2011.12.41.jpg ... ... Since colon (:) cannot be used in file names, the colon between HH and MM must be replaced with a period. I don't want to use a 3rd party tool. Can you provide me with the code to achieve this in Powershell or command line?

• Can't connect to Wireless Network - Ubuntu 12.04 LTS & Sabrent A111N USB Dongle

  I've been trying to connect to this network for quite some time. I can't directly connect to the router with a Wire, but can access the Router with other wireless devices without any issues. I had previously tried several other Wifi nic's but none of them would load properly. Today, i went and bought a new (supported) Sabrent A111N USB Dongle, which said explicitly that it works with Linux 2.4 +. I popped the Dongle in, and low-and-behold it immediately said that there were Available Wireless Connections. I selected my connection and tried to connect, but it just loops constantly while saying Wireless Disconnected then attempts to connect again over and over. ifconfig and iwconfig both show my device in a ready and working state. However, iwlist wlan0 scan says that there are no results found. I don't get it... At one point, I could see the CPU in the DHCP client list under the router, but it doesn't fully make the connection (something about a timeout?). Any help would be appreciated. • merge two parts of pdf in one

  I have two searchable pdf documents say even.pdf and odd.pdf which contains respectively even and odd pages of a book. I can decompile each pdf to separate files 001.pdf 002.pdf oo3.pdf ....The question is how to merge them? They are both even and odd sequences numbered 1,2,3. If it where other numbering on decompile stage with pdftk for even 1,3,5 and for odd 2,4,6 instead of existing order 1,2,3, 4.. i coulde simple merge them, but i ignore this method of numbering with pdftk. May be i need to do the task in other way?

  I know that the address in ipv6 with prefix range 001 to 111 should use a 64-bit interface identifier that follows the EUI-64 format, which translates the MAC to ipv6 as below. MAC:00-02-b3-1e-83-29 --> 02-02-b3-ff-fe-1e-83-29 --->ipv6 addr: fe80::202:b3ff:fe1e:8329 Then I checked my network status with ipconfig /all on my windows XP, but it seems my ipv6 address doesn't follow the above rule: MAC:00-24-81-XX-XX-XX ipv6 addr:2001:da8:8006:225:0:24:81XX:XXXX Obviously it doesn't follow the EUI-64 format. Instead it just directly use the MAC as the last 8 bytes. Anyone know the reason? Pls Correct me if I am wrong.

  Background: 3 of 9 Barcode Alphabet A simple syntax for 3 of 9 bar codes What is the formula behind the alphabet and digits in a 3 of 9 bar code? For example, ASCII has a relatively clear arrangement. Numbers start at 33, capitals at 65, lowercase at 97. From these starting points you can infer the ASCII code for any number or letter. The start point for each range is also a multiple of 32 + 1. Bar codes seem random and lacking sequence. If we use the syntax from the second link, this is the first six characters in 3 of 9: A 100-01 B 010-01 C 110-00 D 001-01 E 101-00 F 011-00 I see no pattern here; what is it? I'm as much interested in the designer's intended pattern behind these as I am in someone devising an algorithm of their own that can give you the above code for a given character based on its sequence. I struggled with where to put this question; is it history, computer science, information science? I chose Programmers because a StackExchange search had the most barcode hits here, and because I wanted to specifically relate it to ASCII to explain what sort of formula/explanation I'm looking for.

  I just unpacked my new Sony Vaio, with windows 8 pro installed. Everything is nice, so I tried setting my power management options. The "When I close the lid" option only list: Hibernate Sleep Shutdown The "Do nothing" option is not present. I've seen loads of stuff on google where people ask or explain how to set this option to "Do nothing", but in all my power plans this option is absent... Can I use a tool to prevent this, or is there a way to force windows to show me this option (and that it actually works)?   I have bought a DL160 G6 server (Product number: 490427R-001 ) and it does not come with a hardware RAID card. I am trying to set up a VMWare Esxi server and as such I would need a hardware RAID card. I am just wondering if there is any card that would fit into the chassis? Would a P200i fits? How about a P400? Also, would there be any non-HP RAID card that will do the magic too? I have 4 SATA 160GB hard drives already plugged in. Thanks a lot!

• USB webcam just works once and next time I've to reboot

  I'm using Ubuntu 9.10, and a usb webcam that is shown as 'Bus 001 Device 005: ID 0ac8:3450 Z-Star Microelectronics Corp.' by lsusb. The problem is that on connecting the cam, it just works with the first program I start (skype, tokbox, messenger), and if I disconnect it or switch to another program, it stops to work and I have to restart my computer to make it work again. Has anyone else noticed this behaviour? Is there some good solution to reset the camera without rebooting to make it work again?

• How could I compress a folder into splitted archives (individual ZIPs)?

  I have to compress folders into ZIP packages. But the size is limited, only a ~10-15mb is allowed to used per package. Every major application comes with the "Split archive to..." option, which does what I want... except I can't uncompress them one-by-one. (You need them all, and then use the .7z, .rar, .zip file to uncompress.) Here is an example. FolderX is 35 mb. That makes 4 packages, 4 zip files. The normal split function would give me: folderx.zip, folderx.zip.001, folderx.zip.002, folderx.zip.003 What I would really need is: folderx_1.zip, folderx_2.zip, folderx_3.zip, folderx_4.zip (Individually uncompressable files/packs.) I can code this down into an app, but it's a waste of time if such a utility already exists.

I'm a total beginner, and I've added everything I know to add to the coding, but nothing happens when I push the button. I don't know at this point if it's an error in the coding, or a syntax error that makes it not work. Basically I am trying to get this function "Rip It" to go through the list of Dewey decimal numbers, change some of them, and return the new number and a message saying it's been changed. There is also one labeled "no number" that has to return an error (not necessarily an alert box, a message in the same space is okay.) • Printing fails after first print with Centos 6 and HP LaserJet P3015dn printer

  Centos 6 recognises and configures a HP LaserJet P3015dn printer connected via USB. This machine is being configured as a small group file/print server. I can print a test page, which is processed/printed correctly. The next time printing is attempted (say printing a second test page), the page is not printed and the printer is set to disabled.   I have a lovely ancient ergonomic keyboard (no name SK - 6000) connected via a DIN-ps/2 adapter to a ps/2-usb adapter to my docking station. After Grub it stops working. It takes either suspending and waking up or replugging it while Linux is running to get it to work. No extra kernel modules get loaded for this. When it works and I restart without power off, it will work immediately.   What is the magic that makes components cling to the edges of a form? I had thought that one must use the resize event of the form and them force each element in the form to resize. But then I saw some sample code which, even when I am editing the form, the elements seem to adhere to a percentage of the space they take up in the form rather than a set diminsion. In other words, when I am editing the form and resizing it, the panels and the parts inside the form bend their shape such that the edges remain a few pixels from the edges. But in my own program I have not been able to find where I can duplicate this feature. If I replace the LIKE with something such as: SELECT col1, col2 FROM table1 t1 JOIN table2 t2 ON t1.cityid = t2.cityid where t1.cityname = ? order by t1.cityname It works fine. I do open/close the DB before after the above code. Is there a way to troubleshoot exactly why the database can't be opened and what its relationship to my LIKE syntax is?
