  • Why are Facebook Likes Insisting on using Wrong Product Image...?

    - by Joan Kent
    Firstly, I'm not a web developer so please be patient. I have read the other posts but I think i have everything covered. My website http://www.joaniesgifts.co.uk includes the like button on the product pages. However, I've found that certain product pages are using the incorrect image when a user likes the page. For example - http://www.joaniesgifts.co.uk/terramundi-money-pots/terramundi-money-pot-holiday-fund I think this may have been down to an original incorrect setup which is now corrected. However, the problem remains... The only thing I have to go on :- if i use the facebook url linter (developers.facebook.com/tools/debug) on the above product page, I receive the following error :- Object at URL 'http://www.joaniesgifts.co.uk/terramundi-money-pot-holiday-fund' of type '213689662010141:product' is invalid because the domain 'www.joaniesgifts.co.uk' is not allowed for the application id '213689662010141' which owns the specified object type. If you are the owner of this application, you can verify your configured 'Site Domain' at developers.facebook.com/apps/213689662010141. (I have verified my site's domain) Everything else appears fine except it is also showing the wrong image!! However, under Raw Open Graph Document Information it has the correct link! If I then click graph api - graph.facebook.com/10150450766583352 it again shows the wrong image was linked! I've no idea what else to do - can you help me? Kind Regards, Joan PS Graph API shows the incorrect image after a scrape only minutes ago { "url": "http://www.joaniesgifts.co.uk/terramundi-money-pot-holiday-fund", "type": "website", "title": "Terramundi Money Pot - Holiday Fund", "image": [ { "url": "http://www.joaniesgifts.co.uk/index.php?route=product\u00252Fproduct\u00252Fcaptcha" } ], "updated_time": "2011-11-11T18:54:38+0000", "id": "10150450766583352" }

  • How should I structure my turn based engine to allow flexibility for players/AI and observation?

    - by Reefpirate
    I've just started making a Turn Based Strategy engine in GameMaker's GML language... And I was cruising along nicely until it came time to handle the turn cycle, and determining who is controlling what player, and also how to handle the camera and what is displayed on screen. Here's an outline of the main switch happening in my main game loop at the moment: switch (GameState) { case BEGIN_TURN: // Start of turn operations/routines break; case MID_TURN: switch (PControlledBy[Turn]) { case HUMAN: switch (MidTurnState) { case MT_SELECT: // No units selected, 'idle' UI state break; case MT_MOVE: // Unit selected and attempting to move break; case MT_ATTACK: break; } break; case COMPUTER: // AI ROUTINES GO HERE break; case OBSERVER: // OBSERVER ROUTINES GO HERE break; } break; case END_TURN: // End of turn routines/operations, and move Turn to next player break; } Now, I can see a couple of problems with this set-up already... But I don't have any idea how to go about making it 'right'. Turn is a global variable that stores which player's turn it is, and the BEGIN_TURN and END_TURN states make perfect sense to me... But the MID_TURN state is baffling me because of the things I want to happen here: If there are players controlled by humans, I want the AI to do it's thing on its turn here, but I want to be able to have the camera follow the AI as it makes moves in the human player's vision. If there are no human controlled player's, I'd like to be able to watch two or more AI's battle it out on the map with god-like 'observer' vision. So basically I'm wondering if there are any resources for how to structure a Turn Based Strategy engine? I've found lots of writing about pathfinding and AI, and those are all great... But when it comes to handling the turn structure and the game states I am having trouble finding any resources at all. How should the states be divided to allow flexibility between the players and the controllers (HUMAN, COMPUTER, OBSERVER)? Also, maybe if I'm on the right track I just need some reassurance before I lay down another few hundred lines of code...

  • Dynamic DNS with Comcast

    - by colithium
    I've just recently moved across town. Previously, I had Dynamic DNS set up so I could remotely connect to my desktop (primarily to use TightVNC). My ISP was Comcast and I'm in the Denver, Colorado area. Currently, I'm still with Comcast and still in Denver. My router connects to the internet just fine and my Dynamic DNS record over at DynDNS did get updated with my router's current external IP address. So my router, DynDNS, and public DNS records all agree what my IP address is. However, I can't actually connect to anything from the outside world. My trace route to Google looks something like: Tracing route to google.com [74.125.19.147] 1 3 ms 1 ms 1 ms 192.168.1.1 (this is the internal IP address of my router) 2 * * * Request timed out. 3 9 ms 8 ms 10 ms te-8-2-ur02.wheatridge.co.denver.comcast.net [68.85.221.177] 4 12 ms 12 ms 19 ms te-0-8-0-2-ar02.aurora.co.denver.comcast.net [68.86.103.97] 5 16 ms 13 ms 11 ms pos-0-3-0-0-cr01.denver.co.ibone.comcast.net [68.86.91.1] 6 28 ms 28 ms 27 ms pos-0-9-0-0-cr01.dallas.tx.ibone.comcast.net [68.86.85.174] 7 29 ms 27 ms 28 ms pos-0-1-0-0-pe01.1950stemmons.tx.ibone.comcast.net [68.86.86.94] 8 66 ms 108 ms * 75.149.231.70 9 65 ms 68 ms 93 ms 72.14.233.77 10 67 ms 66 ms 66 ms 72.14.233.111 11 67 ms 67 ms 69 ms 216.239.43.144 12 68 ms 71 ms 73 ms 209.85.249.30 13 66 ms 66 ms 68 ms nuq04s01-in-f147.1e100.net [74.125.19.147] This is what the trace route looks like from an outside source to my DynDNS domain name: traceroute to 98.245.67.65 (98.245.67.65) 1 illuminati-130 138.67.130.61 2 138.67.63.253 138.67.63.253 3 vermiculite 138.67.253.20 4 csm-ct-gw 138.67.253.244 5 138.67.253.2 138.67.253.2 6 ge-7-24-ar01.denver.co.denver.comcast.net 68.86.128.17 7 te-0-4-0-0-ar02.denver.co.denver.comcast.net 68.86.179.21 8 te-9-3-ur01.wheatridge.co.denver.comcast.net 68.86.103.18 9 * * * {Times Out} Now my guess is, whatever is sitting just beyond my router (what the modem connects to) is gumming things up. Even though the routes aren't EXACTLY the same, that appears to be the spot that the trace route either stops or doesn't get a response. My question is, for Comcast networks (particularly in Denver), what would be the device that typically sits there? Is there anything I can do about it? That device seems to not respond to PING but does forward it along when I'm going outwards. But it looks like it eats it when the request is coming in. It's hard to prove that from these logs but I'm assuming that's the case because my router used to accept connections from the outside and I haven't changed anything on it.

  • HTTP responses curl and wget different results

    - by Fab
    To check HTTP response header for a set of urls I send with curl the following request headers foreach ( $urls as $url ) { // Setup headers - I used the same headers from Firefox version 2.0.0.6 $header[ ] = "Accept: text/xml,application/xml,application/xhtml+xml,"; $header[ ] = "text/html;q=0.9,text/plain;q=0.8,image/png,*/*;q=0.5"; $header[ ] = "Cache-Control: max-age=0"; $header[ ] = "Connection: keep-alive"; $header[ ] = "Keep-Alive: 300"; $header[ ] = "Accept-Charset: ISO-8859-1,utf-8;q=0.7,*;q=0.7"; $header[ ] = "Accept-Language: en-us,en;q=0.5"; $header[ ] = "Pragma: "; // browsers keep this blank. curl_setopt( $ch, CURLOPT_URL, $url ); curl_setopt( $ch, CURLOPT_USERAGENT, 'Googlebot/2.1 (+http://www.google.com/bot.html)'); curl_setopt( $ch, CURLOPT_HTTPHEADER, $header); curl_setopt( $ch, CURLOPT_REFERER, 'http://www.google.com'); curl_setopt( $ch, CURLOPT_HEADER, true ); curl_setopt( $ch, CURLOPT_NOBODY, true ); curl_setopt( $ch, CURLOPT_RETURNTRANSFER, true ); curl_setopt( $ch, CURLOPT_FOLLOWLOCATION, true ); curl_setopt( $ch, CURLOPT_HTTPAUTH, CURLAUTH_ANY ); curl_setopt( $ch, CURLOPT_TIMEOUT, 10 ); //timeout 10 seconds } Sometimes I receive 200 OK which is good other time 301, 302, 307 which I consider good as well, but other times I receive weird status as 406, 500, 504 which should identify an invalid url but when I open it on the browser they are fine for example the script returns http://www.awe.co.uk/ => HTTP/1.1 406 Not Acceptable and wget returns wget http://www.awe.co.uk/ --2011-06-23 15:26:26-- http://www.awe.co.uk/ Resolving www.awe.co.uk... 77.73.123.140 Connecting to www.awe.co.uk|77.73.123.140|:80... connected.   • Email forwarding via spf record

    - by Y.G.J
    I have old-domain.co.il with several emails and a new-domain.co.il with the same email addresses. I don't want to connect my domain to a server via mx to make that transfer via email server. Is it possible to have a SPF record that get an email like user@old-domail.co.il and transfer it to user@new-domain.co.il? The new domain is on google apps and the old domain can be connected to the same apps, but how to do it, so emails will arrive only to the new one?

  • CNAME Wildcards Server 2003

    - by Sean.C
    Hi Gents, I'm looking to set up a wildcard cname on a FQDN but cant seem to get it to work. This is what i'm trying to achive: A Record : domain.co.uk : my.ip.address.1 A Record : en.domain.co.uk : my.ip.address.1 cname : www.*.en.domain.co.uk : --> uk.domain.co.uk I'm reasonably new to all this kind of thing, so it's pretty probably pretty straight forward. The number of sites forbids the use of multiple IP addresses. Thanks for any assistance.

  • Nginx redirect one path to another

    - by SteveEdson
    I'm sure this has been asked before, but I can't find a solution that works. A website has switched CMS services, but has the same domain, how do I set up an nginx rewrite for a single page? E.g. Old Page http://sitedomain.co.uk/content/unique-page-name New page http://sitedomain.co.uk/new-name/unique-page-name Please note, I don't want everything within the content page to be redirected, but literally just the url mentioned above. I have about 9 redirects to set up, non of which fit in a pattern. Thanks! Edit: I found this solution, which seems to be working, except for the fact that it redirects without a slash: if ( $request_filename ~ content/unique-page-name/ ) { rewrite ^ http://sitedomain.co.uk/new-name/unique-page-name/? permanent; } But this redirects to: http://sitedomain.co.uknew-name/unique-page-name/

  • SSH: one user logs in, other don't

    - by Co Lega
    Some users can ssh correctly, others don't. I have an admin user, which is in wheel. I used vsftpd for allowing FTP. I created a nologin user for FTP. Call this user "ftpuser". Now I want to allow sftp. It allows me to connect using admin user. I remove the nologin, by giving the user a shell via usermod -s /bin/bash ftpuser. It still doesn't allow me to connect from the ftpuser via sftp. The content of /home/ftpuser/.ssh is just the known_hosts file which contains "localhost" entry only. User permissions are (in theory) ok: ls -la /home working (admin) : drwx------ 18 admin admin 4096 Feb 6 15:33 admin non-working(ftpuser): drwx------ 3 ftpuser ftp 4096 Mar 26 15:25 ftpuser I haven't configured anything special on openssh. Does the ftpuser need anything extra than shell to enter via ssh?

  • Exchange 2010 remote access

    - by evesirim
    Does anyone know how to configure more addresses for remote access to Outlook on our SBS 2008? Currently you can go to either 'https://remote.site.co.uk/remote' to acces the remote web workspace or 'https://remote.site.co.uk/owa' to go straight to remote exchange access. I would like to set it up so that by going to 'https://remote.site.co.uk/exchange' it takes you to same place that '/owa' would. Does anybody know if this is possible, and if so how? Many thanks

  • Avoid access to www subdomain on secure server

    - by user44654
    I have an SSL certificate that is valid for mysite.co.uk but not www.mysite.co.uk it seems. If I use mod_rewrite or .htaccess to redirect from one to the other will this prevent browsers from displaying an invalid certificate security warning if someone tries to access www.mysite.co.uk? (I've tried redirection but still get the warning if I type https://www.mysite.co.uk directly into the address bar of my browser. I want to know if this is because the redirection isn't working or if the browser will display the warning anyway.) I hope that makes sense.

  • WSUS moved how to reset the database and check the folders?

    - by Matthew Zielonka.co.uk
    I have a bit of a problem with a WSUS box, I backed up the WsusContent folder (about 180 gig) to a second machine, wiped the first machine then realized I don't have the database folder! I can not find any articles / guidance on this, I have re installed WSUS however it does not find the other files which where previsously downloaded (I guess the database being the reason). If I do a reset it will force it to download the ones it has again I guess and does not check what is still to be downloaded? Sigh... love / hate WSUS at the moment with a passion :) Thanks for any help.

  • Error data: line 2 column 1 when using pycurl with gzip stream

    - by Sagar Hatekar
    Thanks for reading. Background: I am trying to read a streaming API feed that returns data in JSON format, and then storing this data to a pymongo collection. The streaming API requires a "Accept-Encoding" : "Gzip" header. What's happening: Code fails on json.loads and outputs - Extra data: line 2 column 1 - line 4 column 1 (char 1891 - 5597) (Refer Error Log below) This does NOT happen while parsing every JSON object - it happens at random. My guess is I am encountering some weird JSON object after every "x" proper JSON objects. I did reference how to use pycurl if requested data is sometimes gzipped, sometimes not? and Encoding error while deserializing a json object from Google but so far have been unsuccessful at resolving this error. Could someone please help me out here? Error Log: Note: The raw dump of the JSON object below is basically using the repr() method. • Help setting up wireless in Ubuntu 13.04

    - by James
    I'm having problems connecting my WIFI in Ubuntu 13.04 . So I was wondering if filling in the data manually ie: the IPv4, IPv6, the SSID and BSSID info etc. I did try this before but maybe I put in the wrong data or maybe not enough. Would that make it work? I just don't know how to find out some of the data you need to put in? I'm new and it's confusing. Does anyone know the solution?
