• Export from EndNote into MySQL database

  I would like to export some records from an EndNote (reference management software) library and import into a MySQL database. Does anyone have any experience with this? I've tried creating custom EndNote "output styles" containing either comma-delimited values or even SQL code, but have had mixed results, either because EndNote filters out some characters (like `) or because EndNote doesn't (or I can't work out how to make it) escape text, which might include characters like ' and ". I realize this might be a bit off-topic but any help would be appreciated.

• Setting zoom level on mobile browser

  I am designing website for mobile access and I want to set page width, height and button sizes, so they display filling up the screen. For example if user is using HTC HD , the whole screen would be 480x800 with button sized 240x200. However IE mobile as well as Opera load the page with some zoom level, so the buttons display either too large or too small. How can I either read current zoom level in javascript or set it from javascript?

  Hi, I'm experiencing performance inconsistencies with regards to build duration when building a VS2008 solution file with either devenv or msbuild from command line. My solution contains both C# and C++ projects, and I have these results: devenv.exe (either command line or within the ide): 7 minutes msbuild.exe: 14 minutes I tried tuning the msbuild switches passing /maxcpucount and /p:VCBuildAdditionalOptions=m# but with no luck so far. Any idea?

  I'm trying to migrate a MySQL DB to SQL Server using MS's SQL Server Import Export Wizard. It isn't going so well... The wizard either tells me that the MySQL syntax is invalid or crashes depending on its mood. Here is the query that it executes against MySQL before failing: select * from "_account" Anyway to change so either MySQL likes the quotes or the wizard doesn't use them?

  For building a document generation engine what would be the primary .NET framework to be used in production. The 2 main ones I see are NVelocity and StringTemplate. NVelocity in all forks to be almost unsupported at this point where as ST been active atleast as of this year. Are either or both of these stable for use in production (if nv which fork)? Has anyone had any particularly good success with or failures using either of those frameworks?

  I have a Google Spreadsheet with 3 columns which are either blank or have a value. I want to get the count of the number of rows that has A and either B or C populated. If I were writing a SQL query it would be select count(*) from Table where A is not null and (B is not null or C is not null) But I can't for the life of me figure out how to get this in a Google Spreadsheet

I'm told that when the print dialog is displayed and the user selects a page size that I should be either able to detect the change event or be able to check the size just before printing.   I'm currently using the JPGEncoder from the AS3 core lib to encode a bitmap to JPEG var enc:JPGEncoder = new JPGEncoder(90); var jpg:ByteArray = enc.encode(bitmap); Because the bitmap is rather large (3000 x 2000) the encoding takes a long while (about 20 seconds), causing the application to seemingly freeze while encoding. To solve this, I need either: An asynchronous encoder so I can keep updating the screen (with a progress bar or something) while encoding An alternative encoder which is simply faster Is either possible?

• Is the foobar:finished:context: method of UIView animations delegate really giving a BOOL for finish

  Althoug I read everywhere that the method signature has a BOOL for finished, I do never get a false. It is always true. And now the strange thing: When I NSLog that out with %d, it is always either 32 or 40. Other BOOLs I have are either 1 or 0. That makes no sense. So: Not a bool, right? What's that instead, really?

  Flash has a scrollbar class, documented here: http://help.adobe.com/en_US/AS3LCR/Flash_10.0/fl/controls/ScrollBar.html However, besides listing functions and variables, there's no real explanation of how to hook an instance of this class to a textfield. Everything I've tried either ends up in errors or the scrollbar not showing. The documentation lacks a clear way of how you should bind the textfield and the scrollbar toghether, and CS4 isn't providing any help either.   I have this procedure i my package: PROCEDURE pr_export_blob( p_name IN VARCHAR2, p_blob IN BLOB, p_part_size IN NUMBER); I would like for parameter p_blob to be either BLOB or CLOB. When I call this procedure with BLOB parameter, everything is fine. When I call it with CLOB parameter, I get compilation error: PLS-00306: wrong number or types of arguments in call to 'pr_export_blob' Is there a way to write a procedure, that can take either of those types as parameter? Some kind of a superclass maybe?
