    I've windows 8.1 pro Build 9600 x64 installed, I have recently installed Windows Movie Maker 2012 (Latest) via Windows Live Essential, Now when I run Movie Maker it disable Movie Maker sound as well as all windows sound and keeps it mute until I close Movie Maker, as per their suggestion Huge Problems With Movie Maker Sound I have also updated my audio drivers, I'm using Dell Inspiron 15R 5520, and I have this audio device/driver Conexant HD CX20672-21Z Audio Driver with Version 8.54.37.0,A03 Last Updated 12/20/2013 I need to edit and create a video by this weekend and this is the only tool I know how to use,

    Hi people, i recently buy WD Mybook Essential HDD 1 TB. I downloaded and install Smartware software in both my desktop (windows xp) and laptop (Windows 7) but in both case the s/w is not able to detect the external hard disc. It shows desktop/laptop (Whichever is apt) on left hand side of software but not the hard drive on right side. Why so? i need to install smartware s/w as my friend had gave me which i suppose had deleted the software. please help me thanks

    I can enable a Local Area Network interface for my machine with the command netsh interface set interface "Local Area Connection" ENABLED Is there an equivalent command to connect a bluetooth network connection? I've tried netsh interface set interface "Bluetooth" ENABLED but it seems to have no effect, the connection remains disconnected. I also tried netsh interface set interface "Bluetooth" connect=CONNECTED but this returns One or more essential parameters not specified I know this Bluetooth connection is otherwise ok since I am able to connect using Control Panel Network Connections, right-clicking on Bluetooth Connect.

    Hey all, I'm in need of some software that will allow me to make annotations on the screen to ease the frustration of using a piece of low-quality software to verify some data. I've tried a few programs out, but so far none of them have one essential feature: I must be able to switch between the annotation software and the program without losing the annotations that I've previously made.     Hi Everyone, Is it possible to somehow setup an ssh server that doesn't require a username,password or cert to login? If that's not possible, if I were to give all customers the same public key, would each connection be encrypted individually? (i.e. user A coudn't decrypt the payload of user B's connection) I wish to provide access to a single program, which will prompt for a username and password. Encryption is essential though, and users must not be able to snoop in on each other Thanks

    I am looking for a Windows utility that can copy the currently selected filename, including the path, to the clipboard, ideally through the right-click menu. Some degree of flexibility would be useful, like the ability to copy just the filename, path+filename, filename minus extension, etc. This isn't essential, though, as long as it can copy the path+filename. Must be compatible with XP, Vista and Win7. Free and/or open source would be ideal. Thanks!

    Hi, I am trying to install TeamCity but it was stopped by the malware that keep generating ns??(??=random digit).tmp file. I found that out because the setup process stay still. But when ever I kill the process of the ns??.tmp file, the process continues. I found on google that the ns??.tmp was actually caused by a malware called zlob and I used both Symantec and MS securities essential to scan the whole machine, but nothing was found by that. Anyone have any suggestion?

The two servers on the top of my wish list are: IBM x3550 M2 Express Followed by Dell R610 Ultimately I want to have a Dual Quad Xeon (2 Ghz+) server with loads of RAM for a top notch DB server. The database is likely to keep growing indefinitly so a snappy Raid 5 array of Harddrives will be essential. Which would you purchase?

    I hate putting shortcuts/files on desktop as well as crawling through "All Programs" menu any frequently (and I only pin some essential every-day applications to the task bar). So, I put all the programs I occasionally use to the start menu itself (above the automatic recently used programs section). But even though I've switched it to use small icons, I run out of vertical space in it (just about 16 shortcuts fit there at maximum).

I'm particularly thinking of moving windows using Alt + Drag and drop (which can be changed to Win + drag and drop).     Are you a sys admin that uses emacs? What tools/plugins do you find essential? In my organization the programmers tend to use emacs whereas the sys admins gravitate towards vim. Since we have 4:1 programmers:sys admins, the global emacs config has a lot more goodness but it doesn't fit nicely into my workflow since I'm used to starting/stopping vim on remote hosts 1000 times a day Does emacs have a place in your sys admin workflow?
