  • PHP Fatal error on line number that doesn't exist

    Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 134217728 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 523800 bytes) in /Library/WebServer/Documents/XMLDataStore.class.php on line 981 The curious thing about this error is not the memory leak, which would be easy enough to troubleshoot. Rather, it is the fact that XMLDataStore.class.php is only 850 lines long, which I have verified in multiple text editors. This is with the PHP 5.3 bundled with Snow Leopard. I'm not using an opcode cache. Here is my php.ini: allow_url_fopen = Off error_reporting = -1 display_errors = 1 display_startup_errors = 1 date.timezone = 'America/Los_Angeles' output_buffering = Off realpath_cache_size = 0k XMLDataStore.class.php has recently been refactored and it used to be longer than 981 lines. It's almost as if PHP has cached a 2-week-old version and is reading that. I'm positive that the current version at /Library/WebServer/Documents/XMLDataStore.class.php is only 850 lines long, though.

  • Java Servlet says file does not exist

    Hello World! I have developed a java servlet that monitors a folder on a network drive for new files then does some actions on them depending on what kind of file it is. It worked in Eclipse when Eclipse and Tomcat were running with each other, but now that I have deployed it onto a server(different machine), the servlet keeps logging that it cannot find the folder to be mapped. The exact same network drive is mapped, and the folder definitely exists. This problem only occurs when the servlet is run on the server, not on the development machine. Thanks! PS: It is a Windows Server 2003 Enterprise Server with Tomcat v6 installed.

    I am trying to use mod_rewrite to generate cleaner urls. I have the following in my .htaccess Options +FollowSymLinks RewriteEngine on RewriteBase / RewriteRule ^mypage.php$ https://%{HTTP_HOST}/mypage [R=301,L] The objective is to go from https://mysite.com/mypage.php to https://mysite.com/mypage This gives me a 404 error. I don't actually have the directory mypage/ existing. But from my understanding, I don't need to actually have mypage for mod_rewrite to work. What am I doing wrong?

    There is one server with multiple clients. The clients are viewing subsets of the servers entire data. If the data that a client is viewing changes, the client should be informed of the changes so that it displays the current data. Example: Two clients are viewing a list of users in an administration screen. One client adds a new user to the list and modifies the permissions of another user. The other client sees the changes propagated to their view. In the client side code I would like the users list to be updated by the framework itself, raising changed events such that it will be redrawn - similar to 'cells' or dataflow. I am looking specifically for a .NET or java implementation.

  • python open does not create file if it doesnt exist

    I am using Python. What is the best way to open a file in rw if it exists, or if it does not, then create it and open it in rw? From what i read, file = open('myfile.dat', 'rw') should do this, no? it is not working for me (python 2.6.2) and im wondering if it is a version problem, or not supposed to work like that or what. The bottom line is, i just need a solution for the problem. I am curious about the other stuff, but all i need is a nice way to do the opening part. thanks in advance

EDIT: found System.Data:Linq, no difference Here is my method: public void deleteStudienummer(int studienummer) { dbcontent = new DBEntities(); var dQry = from members in dbcontent.Medlemmer where members.Studienummer == studienummer select members; foreach (var member in dQry) { dbcontent.*** } dbcontent.AcceptAllChanges(); Console.WriteLine("delete member should have occured"); } The * was supposed to be DeleteOnSubmit, but i only have DeleteDatabase and DeleteObject, i tried with object but it doesnt work.. Have also tried dbcontent.Medlemmer.* but still not present. And AcceptAllChanges() was supposed to be .submitChanges() but that wasnt present either.

  • Laravel4: Checking many-to-many relationship attribute even when it does not exist

    This is my first time with Laravel and also Stackoverflow... I am developing a simple course management system. The main objects are User and Course, with a many-to-many relationship between them. The pivot table has an additional attribute, participant_role, which defines whether the user is a student or an instructor within that particular course. class Course extends Eloquent { public function users() { return $this->belongsToMany('User')->withPivot('participant_role')->withTimestamps(); } } However, there is an additional role, system admin, which can be defined on the User object. And this brings me mucho headache. In my blade view I have the following: @if ($course->pivot->participant_role == 'instructor') { // do something here... } This works fine when the user has been assigned to that particular $course and there is an entry for this user-course combination in the pivot table. However, the problem is the system administrator, who also should be able to access course details. The if-clause above gives Trying to get property of non-object error, apparently because there is no entry in the pivot table for system administrator (as the role is defined within the User object). I could probably solve the problem by using some off-the-shelf bundle for handling role-based permissions. Or I could (but don't want to) do something like this with two internal if-clauses: if (!empty($course->pivot)) { if ($course->pivot->participant_role == 'instructor') { // do something... } } Other options (suggested in partially similar entries in Stackoverflow) would include 1) reading all the pivot table entries to an array, and use in_array to check if a role exists, or even 2) SQL left join to do this on database level. However, ultimately I am looking for a compact one-line solution? Can I do anything similar to this, which unfortunately does not seem to work? if (! empty ($course->pivot->participant_role == 'instructor') ) { // do something... } The shorter the answer, the better :-).     This is really annoying...and I know it is something extremely simple... 1. I create a new Dynamic Data project. 2. I add a LINQ-to-SQL class and drag and drop some tables onto the class. 3. I open the global.asax.vb and uncomment the line: DefaultModel.RegisterContext(GetType(YourDataContext), New ContextConfiguration() With {.ScaffoldAllTables = True}) I remove YourDataContext and replace it with the DataContext from my LINQ-to-SQL class: DefaultModel.RegisterContext(GetType(NorthwindDataContext), New ContextConfiguration() With {.ScaffoldAllTables = True}) I then try to debug/build/etc. and receive the following error: Type 'NorthwindDataContext' is not defined Why is it not defined? It seems like its not recognizing I created the DBML file.

    hi. i am writing a cache module in php. it tries to write a cache with a $string+timestamp as a filename. i dont have problem with writing the cache. the problem is i do a foreach loop to get the cache that i want. this is the logic that i use for getting the cache foreach ($filenames as $filename){ if(strstr($filename,$cachename)){//if found if(check_timestamp($filename,time())) display_cace($filename); break; } } but when it tries to get and read the cache, it slows the server down. imagine that i have 10000 cache file in a folder, and i need to check for every file in that cache folder. so how do you think the best way of doing this. here i explain again, because even me still dont understand my written question.. :D i write cache file with this format filename_timestamp.. e.g cache_function_random_news_191982899010 in a folder ./cache/ when i want to get the cache, i only pass "cache_function_random_news_" and check recursively on that folder. if i find something with that needle on a file name, display it, and break. but checking recursively on a 10000 files in a folder is not a good thing yeah? please give me your opinion ok, that would clarify more. thanks.

    Hi Everyone, I'm trying to write code that uses a member typedef of a template argument, but want to supply a default type if the template argument does not have that typedef. A simplified example I've tried is this: struct DefaultType { DefaultType() { printf("Default "); } }; struct NonDefaultType { NonDefaultType() { printf("NonDefault "); } }; struct A {}; struct B { typedef NonDefaultType Type; }; template<typename T, typename Enable = void> struct Get_Type { typedef DefaultType Type; }; template<typename T> struct Get_Type< T, typename T::Type > { typedef typename T::Type Type; }; int main() { Get_Type::Type test1; Get_Type::Type test2; } I would expect this to print "Default NonDefault", but instead it prints "Default Default". My expectation is that the second line in main() should match the specialized version of Get_Type, because B::Type exists. However, this does not happen. Can anyone explain what's going on here and how to fix it, or another way to accomplish the same goal? Thank you.

    I just upgraded to 12.10 on my Lenovo B570 laptop. NetworkManager isn't displaying a submenu for wireless connections at all, even though I downloaded the update through the wireless connection. This displeases me.     It pains me to write this post as I feel like an idiot for having wasted my time on this “problem.”  Hopefully in posting this, I can keep some other poor lost soul working at 4 AM in the morning from spending wasteful minutes scratching his head and getting frustrated.  The Visual Studio designer will work fine in resolving namespaces, but when you build you will get the “Type or namespace ‘xyz’ does not exist error.  If you see this error please take a look at your Errors List window and ensure that you have the “Warnings” option enabled.  It is very likely that you will see that there is a missing dependent reference.  Technorati Tags: Visual Studio
