  • Check if folders exist in Git repository... testing if a sub-string exists in bash with NULL as a separator

    I have a common git "post-receive" script for several projects, and it needs to perform different actions if an /app/ or /public/ folder exists in the root. Using: FOLDERS=`git ls-tree -d --name-only -z master`; I can see the directory listing, and I would like to use the RegExp support in bash to run something like: if [[ "$FOLDERS" =~ app ]]; then ... fi But that won't work if there was something like an "app lication" folder... I specified the "-z" option in the git "ls-tree" command so I could use the \0 (null) character as a separator, but not sure how to test for that in the bash RegExp. Likewise I know there is support for specifying a particular path in the ls-tree command, and could then pipe that to "wc -l", but I'd have thought it was quicker to get a full directory listing of the root (not recursive) then test for the 2 (or more) folders with the returned output.     Hi, I'm automating Word with Delphi, but some times I got an error message: The requested member of the collection does not exist It seems that the Item member of the Styles collection class does not always exist and some times causes the above mentioned error. My workaround is to catch the exception and skip it, but is there anyway to detect it instead of using the try...except block? The problem with the try...except block is that when debugging the raised exception is annoying...     I can't get this script to run, because SQL management studio 2008 says the table "NewName" does not exist. However, the script's purpose is to rename an existing database, so that it does exist when it gets to that line. Ideas?     I have a button on my page that changes depending on what radio button is clicked. The button has the same text on it with the same id, but different classes.   • What's a good algorithm for searching arrays N and M, in order to find elements in N that also exist

    I have two arrays, N and M. they are both arbitrarily sized, though N is usually smaller than M. I want to find out what elements in N also exist in M, in the fastest way possible. To give you an example of one possible instance of the program, N is an array 12 units in size, and M is an array 1,000 units in size. I want to find which elements in N also exist in M. (There may not be any matches.) The more parallel the solution, the better. I used to use a hash map for this, but it's not quite as efficient as I'd like it to be. Typing this out, I just thought of running a binary search of M on sizeof(N) independent threads. (Using CUDA) I'll see how this works, though other suggestions are welcome.

  • Do programmable Ethernet devices (think onboard CPU) really exist?

    I've heard from various people that programmable Ethernet cards exist and are easily available. However I have yet to be able to track down one of these mythical devices so I'm wondering if they're just that - a myth. Such a programmable card has a gigabit Ethernet interface, has a programmable CPU and connects to the host system via PCI Express. The problem area these cards address are low latency network applications where the card itself does the work and "reports back" to the operating system. Basically the card acts as a co-processor and handles all the low latency requirements on the card, thus avoiding the issues of writing low latency code in user-land - think 0.4ms - 0.5ms response times. So my question is, do these cards really exist and if so, where can I get my hands on one?

    While putting together some examples of the Solaris 11 Automated Installer (AI), I managed to really mess up my system, to the point where AI was completely unusable. This was my fault as a combination of unfortunate incidents left some remnants that were causing problems, so I tried to clean things up. Unsuccessfully. Perhaps that was a bad idea (OK, it was a terrible idea), but this is Solaris 11 and there are a few more tricks in the sysadmin toolbox. I ran a crontab on another script before and it worked just fine...any ideas??     Hi there, Just built myself a mvvmlight app and if i press f5 TO COMPILE and run all works ok, it displays the wpf window but if i do a BUILD i get an error Error 1 The target "RunCodeAnalysis" does not exist in the project. I am using the visual studio 2010 professional version RTM The only thing i see strange is the target framework which is set to .NET framework 4 client profile Anybody know why this happens??

However, I'd also like to continue using SourceSafe's IDE capabilities for projects that haven't been moved over yet. Can the two co-exist peacefully, or is it one or the other for a specific install of VS?

    Requirement:- File1 has contents like - ABCD00000001,\some\some1\ABCD00000001,Y,,5 (this indicates there are 5 file in total in unit) File2 has contents as ABCD00000001 So what i need to do is check if ABCD00000001 from File2 exist in File1 - if yes{ print the output to Output.txt till it finds another ',Y,,X'} else{ No keep checking} Anyone? Any help is greatly appreciated.
