  • FitNesse doesn't call setters in my fixture

    - by Maurits Rijk
I have copied a trivial example from the FitNesse Two-Minute example: package com.mrijk; import fit.ColumnFixture; public class Foobar extends ColumnFixture { private double numerator; private double denominator; public void setNumerator(double numerator) {this.numerator = numerator;} public void setDenominator(double denominator) {this.denominator = denominator;} public double quotient() {return numerator/denominator;} } However all test fail with: "Could not find field: denominator.", so obviously the setDenominator is not found/used. When I make the the variables numerator and denominator public instead of private, the tests run successfully. I must be overlooking something, but can't see it yet. Anyone?

  • Testing sample code in python modules

    - by Andrew Walker
I'm in the process of writing a python module that includes some samples. These samples aren't unit-tests, and they are too long and complex to be doctests. I'm interested in best practices for automatically checking that these samples run. My current project layout is pretty standard, except that there is an extra top level makefile that has build, install, unittest, coverage and profile targets, that delegate responsibility to setup.py and nose as required. projectname/ Makefile README setup.py samples/ foo-sample foobar-sample projectname/ __init__.py foo.py bar.py tests/ test-foo.py test-bar.py I've considered adding a sampletest module, or adding nose.tools.istest decorators to the entry-point functions of the samples, but for a small number of samples, these solutions sound a bit ugly. This question is similar to http://stackoverflow.com/questions/301365/automatically-unit-test-example-code, but I assume python best practices will differ from C#

  • PHP: How to dynamically add to http_build_query?

    - by oni-kun
I have a scraping object basically. I want to be able to add POST variables to it like $obj->addvar('Name', 'Value'); What I have now is this: function addvar($var, $val) { $postvars[] = Array($var=>$val); } function initiate() { $this->q = $postvars; } if(!empty($this->post)) { $this->params = http_build_query($q); } I haven't tested because it's too incomplete, But would my addvar() function work? How on earth do I append a key+value to the array so http_build_query would accept it? IE (this is what I want): $obj->addvar('username', 'abc'); $obj->addvar('password', 'foobar'); $obj->send(); //..

  • How to Force a Method Call on a Property or Method of an Object in PHP?

    - by Noah Goodrich
In my View (using Zend_View so the the view is an object), I make calls to object properties and methods to populate the template like so: <?= $this->user->name ?> // Outputs John Doe <br/> <?= $this->user->getCompany()->name ?> // Outputs Acme <br/> <?= $this->method() ?> // Outputs foobar If I make it so that all property requests (like for 'user') go through __get() is there any way that I can catch the subsequent calls so that I can force a method call on the final outputted value? For example so that I could do automatic escaping of output. As I see it right now, I either have to escape the input as it goes into the database or use compiled templates like Smarty does, or switch to assigning every variable to the View object so that it has direct control to force escaping before outputting the data.

  • How to dynamically compose a bitmask?

    - by mystify
Lets say I have to provide an value as bitmask. NSUInteger options = kFoo | kBar | kFooBar; and lets say that bitmask is really huge and may have 100 options. But which options I have, depends on a lot of situations. How could I dynamically compose such a bitmask? Is this valid? NSUInteger options; if (foo) { options = options | kFoo; } if (bar) { options = options | kBar; } if (fooBar) { options = options | kFooBar; } (despite the fact that this would probably crash when doing that | bitmask operator thing to "nothing".

  • Killing HTML nodes from shell

    - by hendry
Need a solution to kill nodes like <footer>foobar</footer> and <div class="nav"></div> from many several HTML files. I want to dump a site to disk without the menus and footers and what not. Ideally I would accomplish this task using basic unix tools like sed. Since it's not XML I can't use xmlstarlet. Could anyone please suggest recipes, so I can ideally have a script running kill-node.sh 'div class="toplinks"' *.html to prune the bits I don't want. Thank you,

  • Replace string in one file with contents of a second file

    - by jag7720
I have two files: fileA: date >> /root/kvno.out kvno serverXXX\$ >> /root/kvno.out fileB: foobar I need to create a new file, fileC, with the same contents as fileA, except with the string XXX being replaced with the contents of fileB: date >> /root/kvno.out kvno serverfoobar\$ >> /root/kvno.out I'd like to do this using sed. I tried some of the examples I found but I only get the contents of fileB in fileC.

  • Word Jumble Algorithm

    - by MasterMax1313
Given a word jumble (i.e. ofbaor), what would be an approach to unscramble the letters to create a real word (i.e. foobar)? I could see this having a couple of approaches, and I think I know how I'd do it in .NET, but I curious to see what some other solutions look like (always happy to see if my solution is optimal or not). This isn't homework or anything like that, I just saw a word jumble in the local comics section of the paper (yes, good ol' fashioned newsprint), and the engineer in me started thinking.

  • Persist url parameter throughout grails app

    - by avelis
Essentially I am looking to have a url query parameter persist throughout the life of the grails application (POST or GET). ex. http://localhost:8080/demo/controller/action/?myParam=foobar I have tried a couple routes. Dynamic method overriding redirect and customizing application tags for createLink. However, since I also use grails webflows it doesn't quite get every single URL. I also tried using a groovy servlet (groovlet) to capture every URL and append the query parameter. The last attempt hasn't been very successful. Am I missing an obvious component to grails? Am I on the right track? Is there another avenue I haven't explored yet? Thanks in advance

  • Match beginning of words in Mysql for UTF8 strings

    - by ankimal
Hi, I m trying to match beignning of words in a mysql column that stores strings as varchar. Unfortunately, REGEXP does not seem to work for UTF-8 strings as mentioned here So, select * from names where name REGEXP '[[:<:]]Aandre'; does not work if I have name like Foobar Aándreas However, select * from names where name like '%andre%' matches the row I need but does not guarantee beginning of words matches. Is it better to do the like and filter it out on the application side ? Any other solutions?

  • My ASP.NET Web Application cannot 'find' any of my classes in the App_Code folder .. ??

    - by Pure.Krome
Hi folks, I'm trying to make a new asp.net web application .. so I'm copying my files from one site to the new one, in the same solution. Now, any of my classes in the App_Code directory ... they are not getting 'picked up' by the rest of my project. Can someone please help? this is killing me :(

  • Can grep be used on a Perl variable?

    - by Structure
Is it possible one way or another to, within a Perl script, effectively execute grep against a Perl variable? An equivalent Perl function would be equally acceptable, I just want to keep the solution as simple as possible. For example: #!/usr/bin/perl #!/bin/grep $var="foobar"; $newvar="system('grep -o "foo" $var'); sprintf $newvar; Where I expect sprintf $newvar to output foo. Would also welcome any feedback on best practice here. I am not extremely familiar with Perl.

  • Racket regular-expression matching

    - by Inaimathi
I'm trying to create a regex that matches the inverse of a certain string type (so, strings not ending in ".js", for example). According to the documentation, that should be the expression #rx"(?!\\.js$)", but it doesn't seem to work. To test it out, I have this function: (define (match-test regex) (map (lambda (text) (regexp-match? regex text)) '("foo.js" "bar.css" "baz.html" "mumble.gif" "foobar"))) (match-test #rx"\\.js$") returns (#t #f #f #f #f) as expected, but (match-test #rx"(?!\\.js$)") returns (#t #t #t #t #t), where I would expect (#f #t #t #t #t). What am I doing wrong, and how do I actually get a regex in Racket to express the idea "match anything which does not contain [x]"?

  • HLSL: Enforce Constant Register Limit at Compile Time

    - by Andrew Russell
In HLSL, is there any way to limit the number of constant registers that the compiler uses? Specifically, if I have something like: float4 foobar[300]; In a vs_2_0 vertex shader, the compiler will merrily generate the effect with more than 256 constant registers. But a 2.0 vertex shader is only guaranteed to have access to 256 constant registers, so when I try to use the effect, it fails in an obscure and GPU-dependent way at runtime. I would much rather have it fail at compile time. This problem is especially annoying as the compiler itself allocates constant registers behind the scenes, on top of the ones I am asking for. I have to check the assembly to see if I'm over the limit. Ideally I'd like to do this in HLSL (I'm using the XNA content pipeline), but if there's a flag that can be passed to the compiler that would also be interesting.

  • as3 formatting a textfield

    - by duckofrubber
Hi, I'm dynamically creating textfields in as3, and formatting them with the TextFormat class. I'm having some issues though with selecting the exact "style" of font to apply to the textfields. My code so far looks like: formatT = new TextFormat( ); formatT.bold = false; formatT.color = 0x000000; formatT.font = "TradeGothic"; formatT.size = 16; var textItem = new TextField(); textItem.text = "foobar"; textItem.setTextFormat(formatT); addChild(textItem); This works ("Trade Gothic" is applied to the enclosed text), however I can't figure out how to apply a specific style of "Trade Gothic", for instance "Light Oblique". Is there some way that I can specify this using the TextFormat class? Thanks.

  • ASP.NET MVC: Routing

    - by JamesBrownIsDead
Let's say I have this Controller: public class GlobalizationController : Controller { public JavaScriptResult GlobalizedLabels(string virtualPath) { return new JavaScriptResult(); } } I want the controller to handle (i.e. invoke from) any of the relative URLs below: /globalization/~Enlargement/Controls/Container.ascx /globalization/test/foobar.aspx /globalization/HappyTimes/Are/Right/Now What would my entry in global.asax routes.MapRoute() entry look like? As in... routes.MapRoute("Globalization", "globalization/{virtualPath}", new { controller = "Globalization", action = "GlobalizedLabels" }); The URL pattern "{virtualPath}" is wrong. What should it be?

  • Problem With View Helpers

    - by Richard Knop
    I wrote few custom view helpers but I have a little trouble using them. If I add the helper path in controller action like this: public function fooAction() { $this->view->addHelperPath('My/View/Helper', 'My_View_Helper'); } Then I can use the views from that path without a problem. But when I add the path in the bootstrap file like this: protected function _initView() { $this->view = new Zend_View(); $this->view->doctype('XHTML1_STRICT'); $this->view->headScript()->appendFile($this->view->baseUrl() . '/js/jquery-ui/jquery.js'); $this->view->headMeta()->appendHttpEquiv('Content-Type', 'text/html; charset=UTF-8'); $this->view->headMeta()->appendHttpEquiv('Content-Style-Type', 'text/css'); $this->view->headMeta()->appendHttpEquiv('Content-Language', 'sk'); $this->view->headLink()->appendStylesheet($this->view->baseUrl() . '/css/reset.css'); $this->view->addHelperPath('My/View/Helper', 'My_View_Helper'); } Then the view helpers don't work. Why is that? It's too troublesome to add the path in every controller action. Here is an example of how my custom view helpers look: class My_View_Helper_FooBar { public function fooBar() { return 'hello world'; } } I use them like this in views: <?php echo $this->fooBar(); ?> Should I post my whole bootstrap file? UPDATE: Added complete bootstrap file just in case: class Bootstrap extends Zend_Application_Bootstrap_Bootstrap { protected function _initFrontController() { $this->frontController = Zend_Controller_Front::getInstance(); $this->frontController->addModuleDirectory(APPLICATION_PATH . '/modules'); Zend_Controller_Action_HelperBroker::addPath( 'My/Controller/Action/Helper', 'My_Controller_Action_Helper' ); $this->frontController->registerPlugin(new My_Controller_Plugin_Auth()); $this->frontController->setBaseUrl('/'); } protected function _initView() { $this->view = new Zend_View(); $this->view->doctype('XHTML1_STRICT'); $this->view->headScript()->appendFile($this->view->baseUrl() . '/js/jquery-ui/jquery.js'); $this->view->headMeta()->appendHttpEquiv('Content-Type', 'text/html; charset=UTF-8'); $this->view->headMeta()->appendHttpEquiv('Content-Style-Type', 'text/css'); $this->view->headMeta()->appendHttpEquiv('Content-Language', 'sk'); $this->view->headLink()->appendStylesheet($this->view->baseUrl() . '/css/reset.css'); $this->view->addHelperPath('My/View/Helper', 'My_View_Helper'); } protected function _initDb() { $this->configuration = new Zend_Config_Ini(APPLICATION_PATH .   • Show only one validation error-message using replaceWith

    - by timkl
I am currently working with the jQuery validation plugin, and I want to show only one error-message before the form itself. Right now the validation shows all the error-messages on top of each others as they stack up, as you can see in my live example: http://timkjaerlange.com/foobar/stack-stuff/validate-test.html This is my jQuery: $(document).ready(function() { $("form").validate({ rules: { // bunch of rules here, left out to keep it simple }, messages: { // messages goes here }, errorElement: 'div', errorClass: 'error', errorPlacement: function(error, element) { error.insertBefore('form'); // this is what I've got $('div').replaceWith(error); // trying to replace the prev error } }); }); Anybody know how to this? Is this the best way to show only one error-message? Any help is highly appreciated.

  • On site load, how do you wrap all images in a link dynamically using Javascript?

    - by akaii
I have barely any experience working with DOM and using Javascript, and I have a very specific task that I'm trying to accomplish. Let's say I have an image in my HTML: <img src="foo.jpg" /> When the site loads, I want to take that image (all images in the document, actually), and wrap them in a link: <a href="http://www.foobar.com"><img src="foo.jpg" /></a> What could I use to accomplish this? Google hasn't turned up much for me with regards to this specific task. On load, I can access and iterate all the images in the document... but I'm not sure where to go from there in order to wrap the image in a link.

  • Find HTML based on partial attribute

    - by Kirean
Is there a way with javascript (particularly jQuery) to find an element based on a partial attribute name? I am not looking for any of the selectors that find partial attribute values as referenced in these links: starts with [name^="value"] contains prefix [name|="value"] contains [name*="value"] contains word [name~="value"] ends with [name$="value"] equals [name="value"] not equal [name!="value"] starts with [name^="value"] but more something along the lines of <div data-api-src="some value"></div> <div data-api-myattr="foobar"></div> and $("[^data-api]").doSomething() to find any element that has an attribute that starts with "data-api".
