  • Shut down windows service based on load

    Hello, I was wondering if there are any free / open source solutions that will start and stop a windows service based on load? I have some pubsub subscriber services that do background work which is not critical. Ideally i would like tot be able to automate things so that these services could start if memory/cpu/disk i/o was under a certain threshold and stop gracefully if that threshold was met. Do you know of any solutions? Thanks JP

    Hi I have been looking for the answer to this question for some time. I am doing network programming for the iPhone and it is necessary for me to use the IP address of the device. This isn't a problem on the physical device as it has its own IP address on the network. However I was wondering what was the case with it on the simulator. I was just wondering, if I were to sell my components, user controls etc, how would I go about protecting them, in terms of ownership/encrypting code (if possible) etc..     Hi, After months of hacking, I am about to release my first iPhone app into the wild. Before I release I'm wondering if I should include some sort of licensing information in the help page of my app. Are all iPhone apps that are downloaded through the App Store covered under some sort of Apple license, or do I need to provide my own license information? The queries are always in the form of range queries on the key space (keys are numbers) hence any persistent B-Tree like structure will handle the situation. I would like to use BDB-Java Edition but the product is closed source and my company doesn't want to buy BDB-JE License. My goal is to get the list of the fields/columnns created by that someone else. My first hurdle lies in how to tell which ones are from Sharepoint.   • Is there a jQuery webscrapper out there?

    I'm trying to pullout some info from an external site using jQuery and Adobe AIR. Right now I'm using a hidden div and jQuery's load function to load fragments of the external site, once the info is loaded I parse some info with selectors. This is fine but it's kinda dirty and I need to perform this several times (don't want to need many hidden divs). Just wondering if anybody knows a good webscrapper written in jQuery or maybe another method I'm missing

  • Managing Java dependencies in a Grails application?

    I'm trying to adopt my development from Spring/Maven2/Tomcat -> Grails, and I'm wondering if there's an easy way to manage dependencies in grails separate from maven. Maven does a lot of the magic that grails is doing automatically (unit testing/building/etc.), so I wonder if there's a need for maven at all in grails projects. So, then, how do Grails users generally manage java dependencies? I've become accustomed to central repository dependency management, and I can't turn back at this point.

  • Emulating hyperlink functionality in datawindow text fields

    The idea is rather simple. Some datawindow (not web datawindow) varchar fields contain detailed descriptions. I was wondering if it is possible to provide the following (wikipedia-like) functionality to users: The ability to click (or dbl-click or whatever) on specific words of the text, while reading (which somehow should be indicated as clickable - it would be perfect if they could be colored blue but I don't think this is possible) and open a relevant window (or response). Do you think something like this could be implemented?
