• How can i disable drag event using jquery?

  Hi, i wan to disable drag event using jquery and want to bind one another event with same mouse event, but it will shows an error i have attached drag even to <div class="mydiv"></div> and i have used jQuery('.mydiv').draggable("destroy"); it is disabling the drag event and attached one more functionality on mouse down but when i will press mouse on div and dragging the cursor then it shows error $(this).data("draggable") is undefined [Break on this error] var t = $('body'), o = $(this).data('draggable').options; and this is in ui.draggable.js, any buddy have any idea about this??

  In MonoDevelop I have the following code which compiles: int[] row = new int[indices.Count]{}; However, at run-time, I get: Matrix.cs(53,53): Error CS0150: A constant value is expected (CS0150) (testMatrix) I know what this error means and forces me to then resize the array: int[] row = new int[indices.Count]{}; Array.Resize(ref row, rowWidth); Is this something I just have to deal with because I am using MonoDevelop on Linux? I was certain that under .Net 3.5 I was able to initialize an array with a variable containing the width of the array. Can anyone confirm that this is isolated? If so, I can report the bug to bugzilla.

• Toshiba Laptop Problem - Black Screen on Startup [using Win Vista]

  Hi guys, can anyone help me on my problem? I only see black screen after the startup.. It just shows the logo and the status bar upon start, then it goes black screen with moveable cursor. I tried alt+ctrl+del, but it doesn't work. I pressed shift 5 times and it makes a sound. I already removed battery and restarted it, but still the same. I can go to safe mode and scanned thru there. Still, desktop won't show up. Don't know what else to check? Been searching the net for solutions. Please help? :(

  I have an application that is being expanded to the UK and I will need to add support for Latin-9 Unicode. I have done some Googling but found nothing solid as to what is involved in the process. Any tips? • Simulating a mouse button click in Windows

  Hi everyone, I'm writing Remote Desktop clone in C++ using QT. So far I'm able to move the mouse cursor around fine. QT has a nice setPos function for that. However, I'm a bit lost as to what API/Library to use for simulating mouse button clicks. One method I'm aware of is to send the WM_(event) to a window using the window's HWND. However, I was hoping there was a more salient method for taking complete control over a mouse. Is there any other way to tell the operating system that the left mouse button has been clicked?   I have this problem that I cannot fix. From my @Controller, i can easily access my autowired @Service class and play with it no problem. But when I do that from a separate class without annotations, it gives me a NullPointerException. My Controller (works)- @Controller public class UserController { @Autowired UserService userService;... My separate Java class (not working)- public final class UsersManagementUtil { @Autowired UserService userService; or @Autowired UserDao userDao; userService or userDao are always null! Was just trying if any one of them works. • Oracle database connection string PLSQL compatibility

  Hi I'm using an application called Logi info. it requires a connection string to my oracle database. the connection works fine but in order to configure the connection to recive ref cursors from the database, I apparently need to add PLSQLRSet=1 to the end of the string. when I do that I recieve an error "invalid connection string" Here is my connection string without plsqlrset=1 Data Source=SID; User Id=username; Password=password; My concern is that PLSQLRSet=1 might be .NET paramater only. Can anyone shed some light on the issue. Thanks

• Drag and drop between HTML 5 and Silverlight 4

  Hi - Is it possible to drag an HTML 5 object, e.g. an , into a Silverlight 4 control and accept it? We've attempted to build a simple prototype using an HTML 5 example and a trivial Silverlight control but the cursor changes to the no-entry sign whenever we hover over the Silverlight control. We do, however, get drag entry events firing in Silverlight. Our control happily accepts files dragged from the desktop as expected. We think we've got the HTML 5 drag events set up correctly, and I can possibly get our test published somewhere in case that will help. We've successfully implemented dragging inside a Silverlight control but we now need to integrate with non-Silverlight page components. Is this actually possible to set up or are we just doing something wrong? Thanks for any advice!

• Creating standalone, console (shell) for domain-specific operations

  Say that I have a system service, and I want to offer a low-level maintenance access to it. For that purpose, I'd like to create a standalone, console application that somehow connects to server process and lets user type in commands, allow it to use auto-completion and auto-suggestion on single/double TAB press (just like linux bash shell, mysql cli, cmd.exe, and countless others), allow command line editing capabilities (history, cursor keys to move around text..), etc. Now, it's not that much of a problem to create something like that by rolling my own from scratch, handling user input, scanning pressed keys, and doing correct actions. But, why reinvent the wheel? Is there some library/framework that helps with this kind of problems, just like readline library that offers improved command-line editing capabilities under linux? Of course, this new "shell" would respond only to valid, domain-specific commands, and would suggest valid arguments, options, switches... Any ideas? Thanks!

It's like trying to learn pointers in C all over again ;-) (which is probably why I am getting confused, I'm trying to relate these to pointers. In C it'd be "SomeClass *Item" and a list of "SomeClass *" variables)

• Why can't I retrieve the entities I've just persisted?

  I've got this web service that basically queries the database and returns all persisted entities. For testing purposes, I've created a TestDataManager that persists 2 example entities after Spring context is loaded (BTW, I'm using JAX-WS, Spring, Hibernate and HSQLDB). The Hibernate invocation does not raise any exception, but the returned list is empty. The odd thing is, in TestDataManager, if I switch from sf.openSession() to sf.getCurrentSession(), I get an error message: "No Hibernate Session bound to thread, and configuration does not allow creation of non-transactional one here". What I am doing wrong here? Why is the query "not seeing" the persisted entities? Why do I need to invoke sf.openSession() on TestDataManager although it's annotated with @Transactional? I have done some tests with hibernate.current_session_context_class=thread in application.xml, but then I just switch problems in each class. I'd like not needing to manually invoke sf.openSession() and leave that for Hibernate to take care. Thanks a lot for any help!

  Hi, I am planning on starting my 1st VSTO project. What I want to be able to do is: Download and Upload versions of a MS Word document to a web service. With authentication by overriding the save button Call a web service to list a bunch of tag that can be inserted into a document. When a user double clicks a tag the selected tag is inserted into the cursor position. I am pretty sure this is all possible just want some confirmation? Also would like to know how long would it take to make something like this. I think the biggest issue will be authentication and listing exiting files to download then allowing the user to download a .doc and restore previous versions of that file via the web service.

• getting the Contact's Birthday of a HTC Sense phone

  I am not sure, but probably HTC Sense does the following, syncs my Facebook contacts to my phone along with their mobile number and their birthday. This shows well in the agenda and the user panel. But as it turns out it doesn't use the standard SDK way to store the birthdays.   Can someone provide an example of how to use parallel table function in oracle pl/sql. We need to run massive queries for 15 years and combine the result. SELECT * FROM Table(TableFunction(cursor(SELECT * FROM year_table))) ...is what we want effectively. The innermost select will give all the years, and the table function will take each year and run massive query and returns a collection. The problem we have is that all years are being fed to one table function itself, we would rather prefer the table function being called in parallel for each of the year. We tried all sort of partitioning by hash and range and it didn't help. Also, can we drop the keyword PIPELINED from the function declaration? because we are not performing any transformation and just need the aggregate of the resultset.

• Drag and drop an image from desktop to a web text editor (implementation in javascript)

  I tried to write reasonably short title but i failed i guess.. Hi everybody here's what i'm trying to do: I want to implement a web text editor able to recognize when the user drag a image file over it's editing surface and it automa(gically) starts the upload and insert the image near the cursor position. In other words i don't want the user to do the usual "insert-image-browse-ok". Atm i am not very good at javascript ... i know JQuery but i have not a clear idea about how to implement this... i don't know if there's an event handler able to help me in this situation... if not then there should be i think or web apps would miss some kind of interactivity. I've heard miracles about HTML5 could it help me? I've seen such things in Google Wave but that surface doesn't seem to be a form field... google lab's black magic i guess.... Thank you in advance.

• Can hitTestPoint be used with local coordinates at all?

  In AS3 I have a game where a vehicle rotates to the direction of the cursor, but when it "moves", its sprite stays stationary in the middle of the stage while the map layer below it actually moves, causing the illusion of movement of the vehicle on the map. There are obstacles on the map that the vehicle cannot pass. The obstacles are in a movie clip that is a part of the map layer and move with it. hitTestPoint seems only to be able to check if the obstacle clip is touching points on the stage rather than points on the map, meaning that I cannot feed it the same coordinates I use to check the map boundaries, which are points on the map. I don't think I can use localToGlobal because the function I use to check obstacle collisions does not have access to a reference to the obstacle movie clip. Is there a way in these conditions to force hitTestPoint to use its local coordinate system on the map? I have included a diagram:

  Hi all, I would like to figure out where everything is in django admin. Since i am currently trying to modify the behavior rather heavily right now, so perhaps a reference would be helpful. For example, where is ModelAdmin located, i cannot find it anywhere in C:\Python26\Lib\site-packages\django\contrib\admin. I need that because i would like to look at how it is implemented so that i can override with confidence. I need to do that in part because of this page: http://docs.djangoproject.com/en/dev/ref/contrib/admin/#modeladmin-methods, for example, i would like to override ModelAdmin.add_view, but i can't find the original source for that. As well as i would like to see the url routing file for admin, so i can easily figure out which url corresponding to which template etc. Thanks a lot for any pointers!

• Android: making a custom ListView independent of adapters ?

  I am adding a local database as a cache to a remote web service in my android application to answer queries. I used ArrayAdapters before for list views to display the results from the web service. Now with a database cache, the result could be either a Cursor(from database) or a List(from web), which means the adapter can be CursorAdapter or ArrayAdapter too. Creating two adapters for one query doesn't seem to be a good idea. So I am wondering what would be the best way to refactor my current code to add this database feature? Thanks,

• html form using input as a submit button

  Hello onlookers, A web site I've been using has some interesting behavior... There is a form, but there is no button for submission. Instead, there is an input: <input id="ctl00_pageContent_loginButton" type="image" style="border-width: 0px;" alt="Login" src="images/btn_login.gif" name="ctl00$pageContent$loginButton"/> and when you hover over it the cursor turns into a hand, like an anchor tag -- however I do not see any css (in firebug) showing that the input should have a hover attribute. Further, the input does not have any sign of being an actual link/submission button. I'm stumped -- would love to know how they were able to do this. • Firefox, prevent rendering between javascript statements.

  I'm trying to create some kind of zoom around the mouse cursor feature on my website which ultimately runs these two lines (+ the same for height/scrollTop). canvas.style.width = someValue; canvas.parentNode.scrollLeft = someOtherValue; The problem is that in firefox(3.6) the page is re-rendered directly after the first row has been executed and since the view is depending on both values this means that every time i recalculate the view firefox will will render an invalid view before the correct one, in other words creating flicker. I've tried swapping the two rows but get the same problem. In chrome, opera and IE this doesn't happen. Both lines are executed before any rendering is done. Is there any way to lock the rendering manually, maybe something like this? document.disableRendering(); //fantasy function canvas.style.width = someValue; canvas.parentNode.scrollLeft = someOtherValue; document.enableRendering(); //fantasy function
