  Hi, I'm working as a QA (Software Tester with 3 years of experience) and was thinking of getting some certifications for my career. I already have the ISTQB certification and was thinking of doing SCJP along with MCTS 70-433 certification (SQL Server 2008 Database Development) as the next move. So my question is this: 1) Who should go for the 70-433 certification and is it worth going for, for a career in QA? 2) What would be a good book to study for this? I'm just looking for a simple book that is written just to the point and not much bloated up such as technical bibles. Not that they aren't good but they just take up too much of time. Maybe something similar to the one written by Kathy Sierra & Bert Bates for SCJP. It is written in a very simple language and is enough to do SCJP. Edit: I'm still searching for answers to this.   Hi all, I'm creating a page that loads content from other pages using jQuery like this: $('#newPage').load('example.html' + ' #pageContent', function() { loadComplete(); }); That all works fine. Now what I want to do is change the background image of the current page to the background image of the page I'm loading from. This is what I'm doing now but I can't for the life of me get it to work: $.get('example.html', function(data) { var pageHTML = $(data); var pageBody = pageHTML.$('body'); alert(pageBody.attr("background")); }); What am I doing wrong??   I'm writing a test app using the twitter gem and I'd like to write an integration test but I can't figure out how to mock the objects in the Twitter namespace.   My first post.  Working with Google Analytics (GA).  What an incredible tool this is for those that are wanting to know about their site traffic.  GA allows the user to drill down to the screen size of any mobile sources that came in contact with his site.  The user is even able to know region demographics of visitors and the types of browsers and languages being used.  This is a great tool to help determine your target audience and what direction of growth one may be needing to take.GA has Real-Time currently in beta but it already allows the user to see some information.  I can already detect that I am viewing my site from Louisville, KY and what page of my site is being accessed.  I highly recommend using GA for the sheer plethora of data available.

• Partitions and cdrom are not automounted

  Provide my spec and sorry for my poor English first. MB: Gigabyte G31M-S2L (bios ver. F9) CPU: intel E5200 2G RAM HD1: WD 160G with 2 partitions (partition 1:60G, NTFS, win xp; partition 2:100G, NTFS) HD2: WD 320G with 2 partitions (partition 3:220G, NTFS; partition 4:100G, ext4, Ubuntu) Recently, I tried to install Ubuntu 12.04 Beta 2 on my desktop PC (on partition 4). At the beginning, everything looked great including the auto-mounting of partitions 1~3 and the unity (3D). However, after I deleted and re-allocated the partitions on HD2 and re-installed Ubuntu on partition 4, the partitions 1~3 are no longer auto-mounted when I logged in the desktop (and even the inserted cdrom would not be mounted either). The configurations during these two installations are all the same as default. Are there any possible reasons or solutions for this issue?

• Ubuntu crash problem, need fix

  Upgraded to 12.04 LTS Beta 2, on a Dimension E310. The unity Sidebar crashes while I use Software Center. The only way I can close Software center Is to either power off my computer or use force quit app on the unity side bar. Thats why I believe it's the sidebar crashing instead of the software center. But the other problem is, apport don't recognize the bug so nothing is sent. How do I file this bug? I looked in VAR/Crash and there was no crash report.

• cursor jumps when moving (and some other times)

  i updated to 12.10 beta 1 when it was released (coming from 12.04 fresh install, i skipped the alpha releases of 12.10) since then i've done all the usual updates but ive had an issue with my cursor jumping. it does not jump when typing, i've done a lot of searching and cant find an answer, it tends to happen most when i move the cursor the jump is maybe 15-20 pixels down and to the right it seems like a display issue because if i hover over a link or the x to close a window the cursor will settle in it's down/right position, but the whatever im hovering over will still act as if that's where the mouse is, and clicking still works on the item. so the mouse is actually in its original location, but it's displaying offset and flickering back and forth from its down/right position and its correct position this makes use very difficult because the mouse is never displayed where it actually is and i have to estimate my clicks any ideas?

  Im trying to post to aweber using just jquery. Im guessing hte addlead.pl is just a posting page with no response.

  Hello all, I have mapped a network drive to a computer in my home network. Now I am trying to access it via PHP - I did this quick test: echo opendir('Z:\\'); This gives me: Warning: opendir(Z:\) [function.opendir]: failed to open dir: No error in C:\wamp\www\webs\tester-function.php on line 3 What have I done wrong here? I don't want my users typing in the UNC path so is there a way to get the UNC path for them and maybe that will work when I try to access it? This is possible in Microsoft languages but I am not sure how to get PHP to do this - maybe using a cmd.exe command? Please note, the mapped drive does exist as I can see it and I can access it. It also does not appear to be a permissions problem as I am assuming it would of complained about this IF it could access that drive...right? Thanks all for any help
