  • Is it possible to build a WinForm app (or another type of .NET app) which allows me to interact with

    I'm learning Chinese at the moment and I have gotten my hand on a Chinese dictionary definition. Now I would like to make an interface. All I really want the application to do is when I point my mouse pointer over any text on the screen (in any window), it would identify the text I am pointing at and then display a small form over it, which would the chinese transaction. Is that possible to do? Can WinForms apps interact with windows outside of it's own application?

    I can find only MouseDown Event and MouseUp Event on a image in WPF. This causes some problem if I do MouseDown on some Image, Move the mouse and MouseUp event happens on some other image. Is there any other event that I can use to solve this problem. like MouseClick Event for Button element.

    The only experience I have so far with a touchscreen interface was one where everything was custom drawn, and I get the feeling it's not the most efficient way of doing it (even the most basic layout change is hell to make). I know plenty of GUI toolkits intended at keyboard & mouse interfaces, but can you advise something suited for touchscreens? Target platform is Windows, but cross-platform would be nice.

    In my WPF application I have a ListView whose ScrollViewer.VerticalScrollBarVisibility is set to Disabled. It is contained within a ScrollViewer. When I attempt to use the mouse wheel over the ListView, the outer ScrollViewer does not scroll because the ListView is capturing the scroll events. How can I force the ListView to allow the scroll events to bubble up to the ScrollViewer?

    There is a mouseUpEvent listener attached to the stage, while dragging the movieClip the mouseUpEvent doesnot trigger the handler somehow the mouseUp gets lost. While the item is being dragged and the mouse is moved away from the movieClip i.e somewhere not on the item but on the stage the mouseUp is detected. Any ideas!!

What I would like to do is when I enter text and click on the submit button of the main search form, the same text gets copied in all of the secondary search forms and all the submit buttons of the secondary search forms get automatically hit.     When I try to select the following "File Open Web Site" or use the shortcut key "Shift + Alt + O" (which does the same), Visual Studio 2008 hangs with the loading mouse icon for about 8-10 seconds then the file. But if I do "File Open Project/Solution.." or "File Open File..." the explorer window comes up in under a second, instantly most times. Computer Specs: Windows 7 x64 Visual Studio 2008 Pro Edition with Service Pack 1 Intel Core2 Due e6420 @ 3.2GHz 4GB DDR2

  • What is a great tool for remote pair development?

It would be great if we could have 2 mice on the client's desktop. Or at least if the client could point to somthing without interrupting the server's mouse. A shared whiteboard would be great. The only problem is that because of the depth order, it's hidden behind the other menu items. Is there a way to bring this item to the front when moused over?
