• Too Many Different Cell Formats

  I have a massive file with 10 sheets recreated from scratch, 12 sheets updated, 5 sheets loaded with raw data, and 7 sheets that are used by the macros for the report. I have recently added a new sheet and am running into the Excel "Too many different cell formats" problem. I have read some of the google search results and they say I should simplify the formatting, but I don't even know how I got up to 4000 distinct cell formats, let alone how much I'm using which ones, so I can remove some. It is also popping up some times the file is run, but not all, until such time as it comes up, and then it happens every time it is run. Since the macro is doing so much of the work, including creating the 10 sheets from scratch, I am not sure what to do. Does anyone know of a Macro I could run to get a listing of all the cell formats and how many cells are using them? Does anyone know of a program they trust to help remove excess cell formats? • Why is C# winforms application not working without VS.NET installed?

  Hi folks, I have a winforms c# app that has an embedded webbrowser control inside it generated through VS.NET 2008. We sink events by inheriting our events class from HTMLDocumentEvents2. public class IEHTMLDocumentEvents : mshtml.HTMLDocumentEvents2 { public bool onclick(mshtml.IHTMLEventObj pEvtObj) { // Clicking on an input (checkbox, radio, button, image) if (pEvtObj.srcElement.tagName == "INPUT") { // The following will result in a null pointer without VS.NET installed HTMLInputElementClass input = pEvtObj.srcElement as HTMLInputElementClass; } } } The code above works fine when clicking on elements in the webbrowser control on our dev machines with VS.NET installed. However it fails to cast the pEvtObj.srcElement when VS.NET is not installed. This immediately starts working when we install the most basic VS.NET with C# that you can. To note: The rest of the c# app works fine, and you can browser the web through the control fine as well, just that the events like the above 'onclick' can't be handled properly. • Opening a local file in Eclipse from the web

  Right now, when I notice a problem on a page on my PHP web site, I have to look at the URL, mentally deduce what file is responsible for displaying that page, then navigate the Eclipse PDT file tree to open that file. This is annoying and uses brain power that could have been applied to solving the issue instead. I would like my PHP web site to display on every page a link that I could click to automatically open the correct file in Eclipse. I can easily compute the complete absolute path for the file I need to open (for example, open C:/xampp/htdocs/controllers/Foo/Bar.php when visiting /foo/bar), and I can make sure that Eclipse is currently open with the correct project loaded, but I'm stuck on how I can have Firefox/Chrome/IE tell Eclipse to open that specific file.

• Webkit and Safari fire mousemove even when mouse doesn't move

  I've read about issues where the mousemove event is fired twice in Safari/Webkit, but the problem I'm facing is that mousemove fires even when the mouse is not moved. That is: it already fires when the mouse cursor is positioned above the context that the event is attached to when the page is loaded/refreshed. And because I'm attaching it to 'document' (entire viewport of the browser), it fires right away in Safari. I've tried to attach it to to html element, to the body and to a wrapper div. No change. $(document).bind('mousemove', function() { alert('Mouse moved!'); $(document).unbind('mousemove'); }); Is does work ok in other browsers. Anyone seeing what I'm doing wrong? Thanks.

• Building a directory tree from a list of file paths

  I am looking for a time efficient method to parse a list of files into a tree. There can be hundreds of millions of file paths. The brute force solution would be to split each path on occurrence of a directory separator, and traverse the tree adding in directory and file entries by doing string comparisons but this would be exceptionally slow. The input data is usually sorted alphabetically, so the list would be something like: C:\Users\Aaron\AppData\Amarok\Afile C:\Users\Aaron\AppData\Amarok\Afile2 C:\Users\Aaron\AppData\Amarok\Afile3 C:\Users\Aaron\AppData\Blender\alibrary.dll C:\Users\Aaron\AppData\Blender\and_so_on.txt From this ordering my natural reaction is to partition the directory listings into groups... somehow... before doing the slow string comparisons. I'm really not sure. I would appreciate any ideas. Edit: It would be better if this tree were lazy loaded from the top down if possible.

• MediaElement.Position behaviour and Windows Phone 7 issue

  I have a problem, I have written a simple Media Player for Windows Phone 7 and can Play, Stop and control the Volume of a Video (loaded from a URI) however when I try to set the position, this causes the application to freeze. I have used both these lines, but either does not work: Player.Position = new TimeSpan(0, 0, 0, 0, (int)Position.Value); Player.Position = TimeSpan.FromSeconds((int)(Position.Value)); I do have this event handler: void Player_MediaOpened(object sender, RoutedEventArgs e) { Position.Maximum = Player.NaturalDuration.TimeSpan.TotalMilliseconds; } And have tried using the Seconds value, casting to Ints etc, however everytime I try to set the Position, the app freezes. The video otherwise plays normally - anyone know what the problem may be here?

• iPad/iPhone HTML5 video loading

  I'm trying to load on the fly on the iPad/iPhone and notice that I cannot place a div above this. I put the overlay in the html so that it's generated on page load and not added via javascript and the video when its created is absolutely positioned below this element. This works on a PC, I'm wondering if since it was created via js that the iPhone OS is overriding the z-index and forcing to the top? Also is there a way to override the default "cannot play icon", the one with the slash, and show a loading animation instead? This would solve my issue via another route. My last option would be to loaded all the video tags via js on page load and have them layered on top of each other for the iPad/iPhone? Since the iPhone OS won't load any video until requested would this work? I also am having an issue with the iPhone and showing the "poster" attribute that is set on the video tag.

  Hi there, I have a page where a user can upload a file along with some other input. Because I wanted this to be AJAX-like, I resorted to using an iFrame to accomplish this. After the file is uploaded and an iFrame is loaded with a response page, I need to update a DIV outside of the iFrame with an AJAX call. The reason for separate updates, is that the result of the outside DIV depends on the input that the user provided with the file input. Can this be done? Am I approaching this the wrong way? Apparently it's found that, it manages Roles,Resources and Rules using config file and authenticate object basis. I want it to be dynamic, like Resources and Rules should be loaded from database dynamically if valid user logs in. Auth part is done now looking for ACL part. • Why do I lose my javascript from the browser cache after a full page postback?

  Hi, I have an external javascript file which I include to my page on the code behind (as seen below). My problem is, when I my page makes a postback (not partial one), I check the loaded scripts by using FireBug, and I cannot see the javascript file in the list after the post back. I asusmed once it is included to page on the first load, browser will be caching it so that I do not need to re-include it. What am I doing wrong? • How should one import large amounts of data for FIT/Fitnesse tests?

  We have a scheduling engine with large amounts of test data to test all the scenarios, so test automation is critical. We're currently hoping to use FIT/Fitnesse. However a single test has quite a large table of test data, so it doesn't fit very well into the mould of "two or three inputs, one or more outputs" that Fitnesse uses in its examples. Hopefully the other functionality of Fitnesse makes it worth using it. I hear that there is a way to initialize an application for a FIT test with an Excel spreadsheet - not the Spreadsheet to Fitness function, mind you - but I haven't been able to find it so far. Once the whole spreadsheet is loaded into the application, and the application does its thing, we plan to compare either a number of output rows, or perhaps just the last row, to see if the test passes. The application is currently pulling test data from a database for manual tests, but writing to a database, then initializing from it, is not preferred because of the performance impact. The application is written in C#.

  I am using Uploadify and have a pop up which is loaded by jQuery by Ajax. The page on which the popup lives on has an include to swfobject (from Google's Code Api) and the Uploadify button should appear. This works great on FF and Chrome but IE gives me a javascript error Unknown runtime error line 4 character 5942 Anyone got any ideas how to fix this problem? • How can I locate the indexpath of the UITableviewCell a certain button is in when I click that butto

  I've added a button as an accessory view to uitableviewcell, and I when I press it, I'd like to be able to access the index path of the table view cell it's currently inside of so I can delete/modify the contents of that cell. Should I subclass UIbutton and add make it have it's own index path property? If so, do I need to implement any specific button methods in that subclass of will they automatically be loaded? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Sorry if this is a noobie question.

  Hey! I was building an AJAX listing of elements in my site, with the ability to delete them (also via AJAX). The problem is that, for elements that were not there when the page was loaded (i.e. that were added dynamically), the post callback does not get executed and it doesn't fade out after being deleted (the AJAX call is being made, it just doesn't execute the callback). It states that I can see my database by entering listing So i tried it and it should basically output everything in my .P file(facts, rules), but this is what i get, here are my sequence of commands: ? consult('D:\Prolog\testfile.P'). [testfile.P loaded] ? listing. library_directory(C:blahblahpathtoXSB) library_directory(C:blahblahXSBpath) {this is listed around 5 times)} shouldn't this command display what is in testfile.P, according to the tutorial? also, after consult testfile.P i should be ableto use assert to add more facts but it doesnt actually change anything in the testfile.P..? any ideas

• Flash / actionscript 3 sound delay.

  Hey. Im working on a flash project where I am loading multiple sounds from external files. The problem is that when I play them within my project there is a small delay from when they should be played until they are actually playing. My sounds are very short and are loaded before the project is actually using them. I have looked up the problem online and it looks like the problem is not something that is only happening for me. But, non of the resources I found had any clear ways of fixing this. Some resources say that you can fix this my constantly having a sound playing in the background. I have that but it does not help. I have also looked at the actual sound file in a sound tool and there is a small delay before the sound starts, but it is very very small and should not result in the delay im seeing in my flash project. Does anyone know of a good way to fix it?

Everything gets loaded into the table correctly, and I have sort keys and selectors set for the various columns (this also works). What I'm trying to do is sort multiple columns when the user clicks one column header, but I can't find any way to do this. I could brute-force a way by overriding tableView:mouseDownInHeaderOfTableColumn:, but that seems an inelegant way of doing it. Is there a good way of doing multi-column sorting in an NSTableView using bindings?

  Hi, I want to validate an XML file against RELAXNG schema provided. Searching on the net gave me hints to create a Schema instance using SchemaFactory by providing the appropriate Schema Language. So as per my requirement I used: *SchemaFactory.newInstance(XMLConstants.RELAXNG_NS_URI);* But the following exception was thrown at run: Exception in thread "main" java.lang.IllegalArgumentException: No SchemaFactory that implements the schema language specified by: http://relaxng.org/ns/structure/1.0 could be loaded at javax.xml.validation.SchemaFactory.newInstance(SchemaFactory.java:207) I am using Java6 and observed that only 'W3C_XML_SCHEMA_NS_URI' works. Rest all the schema URIs throws the similar exception. I am fairly new to using the XML validation APIs. Can someone please provide me the appropriate usage in case I am not doing it correctly? • Strange padding/margin when using UIWebView

• OpenNETCF Signature control question

  I am using the Signature control in OpenNETCF. It works great for most everything I need. However, I need a way invert the signature and load it back in. It has a call to get the "bytes" for the signature (GetSignatureEx()). It returns a byte[] of the signature. This signature can then be loaded back in with LoadSignatureEx(). I can't seem to figure out the system for these bytes. I thought they may be coordinates, but it does not seem so now. If anyone out there knows a way to invert the signature and load it back in, I would be grateful to hear it.
