  • ASP.net MVC How to change the Textbox Class upon validation failure?

    I notice in the default MVC template project that the Account registration fields are highlighted via a class change. I can't seem to get the same behavour out of my own code (in the same project - same CSS etc) What might be stopping this from occuring? Update I believe this relates to one of my other questions Because I was having trouble with NullReferenceExceptions I have changed the Html.ValidationMessage fields to have different names than the target fields. So really, I need to resolve this question

But now, when I'm trying to write Entry.objects.filter(pub_date__hour = x) - the result is following error: Field has invalid lookup: hour What should I do else, to make it work?   • Connect to MySQL via PHP script tunnel

    Here's the question, I need to connect to a remote MySQL database from my C# Application, problem is the MySQL instance will block all access to all IP's apart from localhost, this can not be changed as its too much of a security issue. The question is, is it possible to connect via a tunnel instead to a php script hosted on the server, this would then act as the mysql connection. Any ideas and suggestions?

  • Force update in Hibernate

    How can I force Hibernate to update an entity instance even if the entity is not dirty? I'm using Hibernate 3.3.2 GA, Hibernate Annotations and Hibernate EntityManager btw. I really want Hibernate to execute the generic UPDATE statement even if no property on the entity has changed. I need this because some event listeners need to get invoked to do some additional work when the application runs for the first time. Thanks!

    I have read this question and I'm still not sure whether it is possible to keep pointers to methods in an array in Java, if anyone knows if this is possible or not it would be a real help. I'm trying to find an elegant solution of keeping a list of Strings and associated functions without writing a mess of hundreds of 'if's.     What are the most reliable encodings for sending email? I had some problems recently with .NET's System.Net.Mail default of quoted-printable ('=0D=0A' scattered throughout the message). So I changed to iso-8859-1 for the body (set via alternative views), and 7bit for transfer (and base64 for embedded resources). Are there the better choices?

    I am using VS2010 and C# When I map/select my database tables with LINQ to SQL I have to option to change the "member" propery, but when i delete the table (because I changed something in the schema for example) and add it again the member value gets "reset".   • My PHP script for sending emails wont send

    Well I'm working on a school project, and I uploaded my script to send emails. I'm pretty much using whats defined here: http://www.webcheatsheet.com/PHP/send_email_text_html_attachment.php . Now, all I really changed(other than the contents), is the receiver, to my email address. However, I'm not getting it in my inbox. Is there something else I need? Do I need to do something with the settings on the server(or have my school enable something)?

    How can I view the change history of an individual file, complete with what has changed ? I have got as far as : git log -- filename which shows me the commit history of the file, but how do I get at the content of each of the changes ? Thanks - I'm trying to make the transition from MS SourceSafe and that used to be a simple right click / show history.

  • Is it possible to create a patch using a set of changelists?

    Problem: 2 projects shared trunk and were updating some of the same files. Now one project needs to be released, so a new branch was created from a checkpoint before the projects started. I have a list of just my changelist numbers from the mainline. Using that I can generate a list changed files and diff output using a script with a series of 'p4 describe #' commands. Can I reformat that output and apply it to the new branch somehow?
