    during debug mode or while i am doing testing, i need to print lost of various information, so i use this method ifdef TESTING // code with lots of debugging info else // clean code only endif // TESTING` Is this the good method, or is there any other simple and elegant method. But this way, I am repating the same code in two places and if anything is to be changed later on in the code, I have to do it in both places, which is time consuming and error prone. Thanks.   • Bizarre WHERE col = NULL behavior

    This is a problem one of our developers brought to me. He stumbled across an old stored procedure which used 'WHERE col = NULL' several times. When the stored procedure is executed it returns data. If the query inside the stored procedure is executed manually it will not return data unless the 'WHERE col = NULL' references are changed to 'WHERE col IS NULL'. Can anyone explain this behavior?

    Hi, I am trying to use ZendX_Jquery and i don't how know to autoload this file in bootstrap. I am doing require_once("ZendX/JQuery.php"); on my file Bootstrap.php i also tried $autoLoader = Zend_Loader_Autoloader::getInstance(); $autoLoader->registerNamespace('ZendX_'); but it did not work is there any elegant way of autoloading files in diretories? EDIT: Changed ZendX_jQuery to ZendX_JQuery (case sensitivity) on my bootstrap.php file

    I'm trying to understand what's happening here. I have a CheckedListBox which contains some ticked and some un-ticked items. I'm trying to find a way of determining the delta in the selection of controls. I've tried some cumbersome like this - but only works part of the time, I'm sure there's a more elegant solution. A maybe related problem is the myCheckBox_ItemCheck event fires on form load - before I have a chance to perform an ItemCheck.     I want to create a program which calculates how long it will take to repeat a process a certain number of times. I've scaled this down a lot for this example. I know i could've used ListView, GridView, Spinner, etc. but i'm relative new to android and i'm trying to figure out some things on it. Well, the question here is: Why is my onItemClick not firing? Using the same ImageAdapter with a GridView, everything works ok, but when i use with above class, i get nothing. Inside AdapterView.java there is code for those click, longclick, etc events... so why can't i just fire them? Maybe i'm misunderstanding basic things on how AdapterView works? Should I extend other base classes instead? And why? Hoping to find more experienced guidance on here, thanks in advance.

  • Android TimePicker hour field disappears after orientation change

    I am using a TimePicker under API 1.5 and when the orientation is changed on my device (a stock G1 running 1.6 - though NOT on the 1.5/1.6 emulator), the hour field goes blank. It still remembers the hour, it just doesn't show it. Is there any workaround for this? To describe my problem, everytime my location changes, it redraws the center maker on the map.... Only catch is that it doesn't delete the previous one.   • How do I update the system wallpaper in an Android 1.6 service after changing it with setWallpaper()

    So basically the code "almost" works - the problem is that the system does not appear to know that the system wallpaper have been changed or does not do anything about it. Starting and closing another app manually appears to enforce an update. In an event call the following is done: getApplicationContext().setWallpaper(pWallOne); Is there some way of telling the android system to update the graphics or to do some cheap trick that forces it to? Any help or tip would be very much appreciated!!

    I ask this question because the international standardization subcommittee for programming languages, or ISO/IEC JTC1/SC22 Programming languages, states on this page: http://www.open-std.org/JTC1/SC22/WG14/www/standards that Technical Corrigendum 3, the latest one, was published in 2007. I think this is because the datacontext in the UnitofWork object is different to the one in RepositoryA where the data is changed. So when the service calls Save() on it's IUnitOfWork, the underlying datacontext does not have any updated data so no update SQL is fired. Is there something I've done wrong in the StrutureMap registry setup? Or is there a more fundamental problem with the design? Many thanks.
