  • Getting a permission error when trying to connect to sql database

    I have a sql server on a dedicated machine, running SQL 2008. I have the IP of the box, a database setup on it. I've built a small script that just does a connection test, and when I run it, I get the following error. Request for the permission of type 'System.Data.SqlClient.SqlClientPermission, System.Data, Version=2.0.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=b77a5c561934e089' failed. I've been told by the admin that SQL remote access has been granted for my IP address. Anybody know what's wrong?

    I've downloaded the "dbd-mysql-0.4.4.zip" and linked it to my project. While I try to run a demo code from NetBeans the very first line require "dbi" gives me an error. Is there a different way to do it? I also tried jruby setup.rb config --with=dbi,dbd_mysql from the command prompt and it gave me the following error: config: unknown option --with=dbi,dbd_mysql Try 'ruby setup.rb --help' for detailed usage. Any suggestions please?

Downloaded from IBM site v9.5fp5_linuxia32_dsdriver.tar.gz and pointing IBM_DB_DIR and IBM_DB_LIB to the clidriver(/lib) dir -- is this needed/correct one? -- libdb2.so(.1) is in there... I started coding and I got this message. I did a little google-ing and I cant figure it out. This is a WPF application created with Visual Studio 2010.

    Hey, I am trying to write a simple AI for a "Get four" game. The basic game principles are done, so I can throw in coins of different color, and they stack on each other and fill a 2D Array and so on and so forth. until now this is what the method looks like: public int insert(int x, int color) //0 = empty, 1=player1 2=player2" X is the horizontal coordinate, as the y coordinate is determined by how many stones are in the array already, I think the idea is obvious. Now the problem is I have to rate specific game situations, so find how many new pairs, triplets and possible 4 in a row I can get in a specific situation to then give each situation a specific value. With these values I can setup a "Game tree" to then decide which move would be best next (later on implementing Alpha-Beta-Pruning). My current problem is that I can't think of an efficient way to implement a rating of the current game situation in a java method.     I installed a local version of Laconica microblogging in my env. Then I downlowaded SPAZ (an AIR client) to try and talk to the Laconica app. I get an authenitcation error. I have put in the appropriate credentials - I think :) But I think that I have to alter the API and base URL for connecting. Ayone have any thoughts on how to make these two apps talk ?     Hey all i am trying to redistribute my app that uses Oracle 11g: Imports Oracle.DataAccess.Client The problem i am having is that it will not run on a machine that doesnt seem to have the correct drivers that its looking for. When i install ODAC 11.2 Release 3 (11.2.0.2.1) with Oracle Developer Tools for Visual Studio on the test VM it works just fine but thats a 230+mb file to download and install! Not to mention that if the user already has Oracle 10/11g on their machine that it may mess up their current connections/etc by installing that setup file. Is there another setup package that i can install that only has the Oracle Data Provider for .NET 2.0 11.2.0.2.0 or whatever its needing from that ODAC 11.2 Release 3 file. So any help about what i need to go about fixing this problem would be great! :) Thanks, David

  • can't connect Java client to C server.

    I've got a mysql database created by phpMyAdmin and I want to use it in my Qt project. I tried it on Visual Studio 2010 with an qt addon but it didn't work neither. In Qt Creator, I add: QT += sql in a .pro file and include: #include <QSqlDatabase> in the main file but there's a driver error. I don't know even where to start and each google page shows something different. I tried to look for some guide but there is nothing which concerns everything in []s.
