  • Log to Firefox Error Console from JavaScript

    Is it possible to add messages to the built-in error console of Firefox from JavaScript code running in web pages? I know that I there's Firebug, which provides a console object and its own error console, but I was looking for a quick fix earlier on and couldn't find anything. I guess it might not be possible at all, to prevent malicious web pages from spamming the log?

  • Configure SSIS logging to log in one file

    I know configuring the logging for individual packages thru BIDS. But the drawback I see here is I have to add connectionstring for each tasks and when I have to deplloy these packages on server I have to change log file connectionstring for all packages. Currently I have 32 pacakes and this seems to be time consuming. Is there any way where I can set up logging for all packages in one place?

  • I am not able to delete a corrupt NTFS partition on my pen drive. How can I force its deletion?

    I formatted my 16GB pen drive with the NTFS file system in windows vista. After that I started copying some files. However, only a few files were copied to the pen drive before the copy operation hung. So I cancelled the copy operation. Now I am unable to use the pen drive. I DON'T REALLY NEED ANY FILES THAT I COPIED TO THE PENDRIVE. I JUST WANT TO USE THE PENDRIVE AGAIN. I have tried using Ubuntu to format the pen drive. But when i use fdisk to delete the partition, it looks like it is working fine but in fact it does not delete the partition. Also I am unable to format it with any other file system. When I tried to use gparted, it throws the following error: Error mounting: mount exited with exit code 14: The disk contains an unclean file system(0,0). The file system wasn't safely closed on window. Fixing ntfs_attr_pread_i:ntfs_pread failed: Input/output error Failed to read NTFS$Bitmap:Input/output error NTFS is either inconsistent, or there is a hardware fault, or it's a softRAID/FakeRAID hardware. In the first case run chkdsk /f on Windows then reboot into windows twice. The usage of the /f parameter is very important!. If the device is a SoftRAID/FakeRAID then first activate it and mount a different device under the /dev/mapper directory, (e.g. /dev/mapper/nvidia_eahaabcc1). Please see the dmraid documentation for more details When I searched the Internet I found help on how to recover. But I don’t want to recover, I want to format it again. When I pressed w after deleting the partition, it took more time than previously. After that i removed the pen drive and re-inserted, but the partition I had deleted was still present. If I simply type the command fdisk /dev/sdb without removing the pen drive after the partition is deleted, then it returns the error message Unable to open /dev/sdb.     I have a Windows 2003 R2 machine that is giving an Event ID 8197 about once an hour and ten minutes. The full error is attached below. The machine is primary used to host IIS webpages and SMTP. There is no known scheduled tasks on the machine. I have read a lot of Google Search and Microsoft docs, but none of the suggestions found there have any impact. What I am curious is if there is any way to convert the SRMVOLMC81 and SRMVOLMC57 into mount point data so I could at least know where the error is sourcing from (there are no related errors in the logs, just the 8197 every hour and ten).     Hallo, i have a txt file which contains many chinese characters, and the txt file is in the directory res/raw/test.txt. I want to read the file but somehow i can't make the chinese characters displayed correctly. All these errors are appearing at least 100 times a day. After doing some RnD on internet i have done following things:- 1- define machine key in my web config. 2- created robots.txt file and add ScriptResource.axd file in that. Can some one guide me what I am missing or doing wrong.

I had been using Phing to do deployments, and one of the things that was being triggered was an email to our tech support email address containing a list of all the commit messages between the last time code was deployed and the present SVN revision. I was doing something like this: read in a file from the root directory of the currently-deployed application that contains the SVN revision when the app was deployed place that value in a Phing variable insert that value into a command to send the SVN commit messages via email create a file in the root directory of the newly-deployed application that contains the current SVN revision I'd like to be able to add that information to the email that gets sent out by Hudson when a successful build goes out. Any pointers on how to accomplish this task in Hudson would be greatly appreciated.

    I have the following functions for colorizing my screen messages: def error(string): return '\033[31;1m' + string + '\033[0m' def standout(string): return '\033[34;1m' + string + '\033[0m' I use them as follows: print error('There was a problem with the program') print "This is normal " + standout("and this stands out") I want to log the output to a file (in addition to STDOUT) WITHOUT the ANSI color codes, hopefully without having to add a second "logging" line to each print statement. The reason is that if you simply python program.py > out then the file out will have the ANSI color codes, which look terrible if you open in a plain text editor. Any advice?

    I am having a strange problem while doing ssh. I am not sure where the term Unmatched ` is coming from. But again I am getting that message Unmatched ` and is coming out of bash, as you can notice. What is the problem ? Any insights suggested would be very great. Note: file with name myInformation.txt is being created but nothing goes in to it. As I have even tried running certain commands like ls and then exited the script with ctrl+d. But when I open the file, nothing is there.
