    The question is in the title, I always remove applications that I do not use after installing or upgrading, this includes games etc (wish it was possible to install Ubuntu with no applications then add the ones I require after, is this possible?)     Today, after some auto upgrade i think, my Lubuntu boot to a blank wallpaper and wrong graphich display. If I boot my computer again, instead of select the first line in the boot menu, I select "previous linux version" and select one old version in the list then my computer boot fine. Now, is there a way to revert my linux to that version? Or I will always have to select this when I boot? Thank you very much

    I've just installed Banshee on Ubuntu 10.04 LTS, and manually imported 2 CDs. I needed to manually insert the track information as I haven't figured out how to access an online database. When I try to play track 17 from CD1, it always plays track 17 from CD2. The metadata should have been enough to differentiate between these tracks. How do I manually alter what is recorded in Banshee's database?

    Im trying to test whether a point lies within a 3d volume defined by 8 points. I know I can use the plane equation to check that the signed distance is always -1 for all 6 sides, but does anyone know of a faster way or could point me to some code? Thanks EDIT: I should add that ideally the test would produce 3 linear interpolation parameters which would lie in the range 0..1 to indicate that the point is within the volume for each axis (since I will have to calculate these later if the point is found to be in the volume)
