  • Is there a generic class to write structured Text Files?

    - by Burnsys
I have several projects that need to write structured Textfiles, some with fixed size fields, other delimited by characters. Is there a .net class that could be used for that? I know there is a "Microsoft.VisualBasic.FileIO.TextFieldParser" that is useful for reading textfiles, i am actually searching for a ""Microsoft.VisualBasic.FileIO.TextFieldWriter" Related: http://stackoverflow.com/questions/34182/reading-text-files-using-net

  • HTTP GET: Same GET-Parameter multiple Times, is this allowed by RFCs?

    - by bernhard
Hello, are all "Standard Compliant (HTTP RFC?)" Web-Servers forced to "somehow" provide some methods to get all Parameters with the same name as some kind of list/array? Or will will using the same parameter name lead to overwriting: Example: http://www.stackoverflow?myparam=value1&myparam=value2 Will this lead to myparam holding the values "value1,value2" or only "value2" (due to overwriting and only using the last one). Is this behaviour mandated by some standard? thanks bernhard

  • Why loading of analytics blocks site loading?

    - by HasanGursoy

How can I make this web sites load faster and skip Google analytics files?

  • Font Rendering between Mozilla and webkit

    - by Joe Payton
I'm not sure if this has anything to do with the recent Safari update, but I'm beginning to notice this a lot. There is a drastic difference in the way each browser is rendering fonts. for instance, I took screenshots of what I am seeing here on stackoverflow... http://twitpic.com/q43eh I have verified that this is a trend via my co-workers machines. has anyone noticed this or have any thoughts on non-hack solutions?

  • Rails Association Question (addendum)...

    - by keruilin
My original question and accepted solution was posted here: http://stackoverflow.com/questions/2483640/rails-association-question. Check that out first. My follow-up question is this: I want to return an object that has both the user attributes and the race attributes. That way I can access, for example, the user's name and the fastest_time. How can this be accomplished? I've tried several approaches, but none I've been satisfied with.

  • Visual studio 2010 Errors out on starting "-832" is not a valid value for property "width"

    - by Solmead
My Visual Studio 2010 was working fine this morning (I run in in XP sP3 under Paralles) I restarted the entire laptop and I started getting this error. I even uninstalled VS2010, deleted the Visual Studio 20010 directory on the My Documents area and reinstalled it, and it is still giving me that error every time I try to start it. I'm not sure if stackoverflow is the place to ask it, but I am at my wits end trying to get this running again (trying to avoid rebuilding the entire Virtual PC) Does anyone know how to fix this?

Basically this, but in pure javascript: http://stackoverflow.com/questions/2346257/how-to-get-value-of-select-tag-based-on-content-of-select-tag-using-nokogiri So I have a select list with a lot of countries/states, and I want to be able to select one based on what is between the tags. Argentina (I know i could use the value, but each one is a random mesh of numbers, so i would have to collect each individual one - not economical...)

  • Java equivalent of C# @

    - by Simon Rigby
Hi all, Quick question. Is there an equivalent of @ as applied to strings in Java: For example I can do @"c:\afolder\afile" in C# and have it ignore the escape characters when processing instead of having to do "c:\afolder\aFile". Is there a Java equivalent? hmmm: stackoverflow is escaping on me .. lol. The second example should read: c:(double-backslash)afolder(double-backslash)aFile

  • How to disable automatic loading in NHibernate?

    - by Drevak
This question might be a duplicate of this one: http://stackoverflow.com/questions/217761/nhibernate-disable-automatic-lazy-loading-of-child-records-for-one-to-many-rela I'd like to know if there is any way to tell nhibernate to do not load a child collections (best if it's with fluent Nhibernate) unless i do it manually with a query (keeping all the mappings!). The problem is that even turning off lazy loading the collections get eager-loaded automatically. I'd like that no collections are loaded unless I specify a fetchmode in my query.

  • is versus as pl/sql

    - by sqlgrasshopper5
I thought that oracle treats both "is" and "as" same for functions and procedures.I tried googling with "pl/sql is vs as" and got the following link which says both are the same. http://stackoverflow.com/questions/2338408/is-vs-as-keywords-for-pl-sql-oracle-function-or-procedure-creation But I found http://www.adp-gmbh.ch/ora/plsql/coll/declaration.html#index_by which seems to indicate there is a difference. Could somebody (list/point me to a link) the other contexts where using "is/as" makes a difference?. Thanks.
