  • Why No android.content.SyncAdapter meta-data registering sync-adapter?

    I am following the SampleSyncAdapter and upon startup, it appears that my SyncAdapter is not configured correctly. It reports an error trying to load its meta-data. How can I isolate the problem? You can see the other accounts in the system that register correctly.   • Why does only "network" appear in Startup Disks on my Mac?

    I have a Linux dual boot setup with my Mac (with Leopard). When I open System Preferences Startup Disk I only see "Network Startup" and no HDD or BOOTCAMP as expected. So now, annoyingly, because "Network Startup" is the only option, it tries to start using the network (the flashing globe) for a short while rather than booting directly into Mac OS X. Is there a way to either fix Startup Disk or manually hack this?

    I have been struggling all the afternoon with the XPokerEval Library I downloaded here: http://www.codingthewheel.com/archives/poker-hand-evaluator-roundup#xpokereval I am trying to make the XPokerEval.PokerSim work, using Visual C++ 2010 express but i get the following errors: 1>psim_test.obj : error LNK2019: unresolved external symbol "void __cdecl SimulateHand(char const *,struct SimResults *,float,float,unsigned int)" (?SimulateHand@@YAXPBDPAUSimResults@@MMI@Z) referenced in function _wmain 1>psim_test.obj : error LNK2019: unresolved external symbol "unsigned int __cdecl RankHand(int const *)" (?RankHand@@YAIPBH@Z) referenced in function _wmain Do you think this can be due to a missing link to a library or a incompatibility with my IDE? The script uses the Pokersource Poker-Eval library which is also included in the zip file, I added to the project directories but it still does not work! I cannot figure out why and I am getting mad! Second concern I'm having is that if in def.cpp I change the return type of f from int to double intelliSense underlines this as an error but program still compiles? Why?

  • Authenticating from a "child" application via CAS

    I have a portal application that loads external content (widgets) via an iframe. Users login to CAS via the portal itself. There are a few portal APIs, though, that need to be called from that external content. What information do I have to pass from the portal to the widgets that the widgets can use to make these calls without being rejected by CAS? UPDATE The more I investigate, the more I think that my question boils down to how CAS actually does what it's supposed to do. In other words, how can I go from one site where I've authenticated to another and tell it that I've already done the authentication thing. What's the mechanism behind that and how can I employ in in a web context.

    I'm trying to run the following command without the need for sudo: echo 1 | sudo tee -a /sys/block/$hd/device/delete The $hd variable changes dynamically from sdb - sdi for each one of my HDD's in my drive bay. I added the following line to the sudoers file: operator ALL=/sys/block/sdb/device/delete But this didn't make a difference its still asking for sudo password even if I run: echo 1 | sudo tee -a /sys/block/sdb/device/delete

  • Django - How to do CSFR on public pages? Or, better yet, how should it be used period?

    After reading this: http://docs.djangoproject.com/en/dev/ref/contrib/csrf/#how-to-use-it I came to the conclusion that it is not valid to use this except for when you trust the person who is using the page which enlists it. Is this correct? I guess I don't really understand when it's safe to use this because of this statement: This should not be done for POST forms that target external URLs, since that would cause the CSRF token to be leaked, leading to a vulnerability. The reason it's confusing is that to me an "external URL" would be on that isn't part of my domain (ie, I own www.example.com and put a form that posts to www.spamfoo.com. This obviously can't be the case since people wouldn't use Django for generating forms that post to other people's websites, but how could it be true that you can't use CSRF protection on public forms (like a login form)?

    OK, I know there are quite a few posts on this topic. However, none of them provide the solution to my issue: I don't want just to turn off my monitor(s), I wish my code to turn off a specific monitor. The URL the most people refer to, http://fci-h.blogspot.com/2007/03/turn-off-your-monitor-via-code-c.html, doesn't help here, as it turns off all the displays. So, I have my laptop screen and an additional external monitor. While I'm watching movies, I switch the display to the external monitor and my laptop screen goes black, however, it's still on and glowing in the dark. I wish to turn it off. Could anyone help please?

  • Flex ANT tasks can't find my assets

    I'm attempting to compile my Flex project with an ANT build script. One of my MXML components references an external XML data file, like this: <mx:XML id="treeData" source="assets/data/help.xml" /> When I build the project using Flex Builder, it compiles fine. However, when I try to compile it using ANT, I get the following error: Error: Problem finding external XML: assets/data/help.xml How come ANT isn't finding the XML file? Apparently it knows the source path otherwise it would not have found the component to begin with. I added the source path to the target anyway, but it doesn't seem to have made any difference: <source-path path-element="${SRC}" /> Any ideas?

    This is my problem. I'm using different sql-queries for fetching some people, some come from my database and some come from an external database. They are all sorted in the same "list", only the difference is, that the people who come from our database will have a different lay-out and there will be less of them in a row (eg. 1 in a row), the list of people who come from the external database will be ordered by 3 (in a row). How can i implement this using a repeater? And how would the pagination work? Any "logical", working alternatives will be appreciated also, but i prefer to keep my current workflow to solve this problem. Short: - Multiple datasources - Multiple templates for the different datasources (1 in a row, 3 in a row) - Pagination in this problem?

    I'm using an XML schema document to validate incoming data documents, however the schema appears be failing during compilation at run time because it refers to a complex type which part of an external schema. The external schema is specified in a element at the top of the document. I had thought it might be an access problem, so I moved a copy of the external document to a localhost folder. I get the same error, so now I'm wondering if there might be some sort of issue with the use of the element.     I'm working on building a computer (first time for me). There are several plugs that I need to connect to the motherboard (Power LED, reset switch, etc). Of the two wires, they are either: Color and white (reset switch, power LED, HDD LED) red and black (speaker, power switch) The manual for the motherboard has a nice diagram of where to plug them in, but has them labeled + or -. Which colors are positive, and which are negative?

    Hi all, I'm currently working on an android app that pulls a list of forums from a JSON feed. I'm trying to parse the feed and immediately upon calling getJSONArray a JSON exception is being thrown with no stack trace. The JSON being returned is stored in an JSONObject jobj with the format as follows: { "Forum": [ {"ForumName":"CEC Employee Communications Forum","ForumId":"105"}, {"ForumName":"CEC External Stakeholder Relations Forum","ForumId":"109"}, {"ForumName":"See All...","ForumId":"0"} ] } However when running the following code, I get an immediate exception without a stack trace: JSONArray jarray = new JSONArray(); jarray = jobj.getJSONArray("Forum"); Running jobj.GetJSONArray("Forum").toString(); returns what looks to be a correct array of the format: [ {"ForumName":"CEC Employee Communications Forum","ForumId":"105"}, {"ForumName":"CEC External Stakeholder Relations Forum","ForumId":"109"}, {"ForumName":"See All...","ForumId":"0"} ] I also tried JSONArray jarray = new JSONArray(jobj.GetJSONArray("Forum").toString()); and had the exception thrown immediately.
